Great hike. Well manicured trail. A bit too much underbrush and dead trees which makes me wonder when the next wild fire will be. If you hike during rut you may hear elk bugles which is amazing.Only con for me was the dirt bikes. Weekends are full of motorcyclists. On one Saturday we had 12 riders pass us. Most were fine but others assume they have right of way and can be rude.

Trailhead with pit toilets, easy day hike to Lost Lake or further to Manastash Lake. Beautiful and worthwhile, but there was a lot of motorcycle traffic on the trail though, and in this area in general.

Great hike! We did it qith our 4 and 8 yrs old. They did amazing. Loved both lakes.
