This historic museum give the visitor a look into the life of the residents Kittitas County. This beautiful valley must of been quite a sight for founding fathers and mothers! There is no charge to visit the county museum. I spent a hour there look at the many exhibits including a neon hall of fame which is quite unique!Check it out!

Great free museum on the history of Kittitas County. Really enjoyed the variety and learning about some local state history. Quiet spot, we stayed over an hour and felt no rush. Helpful staff. Small gift shop. Takes donations. Has a bathroom. Fun stop in the downtown area for sure!

Not only are they super courteous, but it by donation only! If you desire history or just want to find a quiet place to briefly hang, this is the place! The rich history and the fact that they host it out for events of such historical nature, makes this spot a go to for any historical buff or those that are curious. And everyone in between. I definite visit as much as I can.

Very nice artifacts displayed here. Love the old cars and neon signs that you dont see at many other like museums. What I didnt like is that so much is displayed in glass cases or glass enclosed shelves. This protects more but photos have all the reflections also.

Great museum. Really low key- it was pretty quiet when I went. They have a huge variety of exhibits from indians to settlers and so on; I was honestly surprised at how much stuff they had. There are multiple interactive exhibits and a small childrens area, but be aware that the majority of them are not to be touched, being original donations and all that.

I think anyone who visits Ellensburg should stop in here. Small but has some of the most amazing things from the past. They also have a very fun scavenger hunt for the kids. They have a nice selection of local info books and a few cute souvenirs at a very nice family friendly cost. We had an amazing time.

Knowledgable staff and extensive artifacts on display. We could have spent days taking in all the historical points of interest. I even found some curious information of a friend of my family (back in the 70s)who was a serious sasquatch investigator with other biologists and scientists: Mr. Leroy Fish.

This museum has a very down home feel. Not a place you spend a ton of time at, but it is well maintained and the staff are very friendly. My family loves museums and this is a nice little place to visit.

Central Washington historical artifacts are artfully displayed in a clean and orderly fashion. Domestic connections from the past are well documented with thoughtful antidotes that tie in with world history. Only an optional donation meets the visitor for the visit. Worth your time certainly.

This museum is kinda cool, but they manage an apartment complex above the museum called cadwell apartments, and it took them over a month to decide that i was not eligible for either of their 2 units. I guess they were to busy dealing managing a small town museum that nobody ever goes to.

Like any small town museum, KCHM holds onto many of the older and conservative values of the local community. Do expect to get a wide variety of curiosities to look at, but dont expect to be highly entertained. It is the best place to gather a bit of the burgs history.
