Super awesome place to closely watch wind turbines!

A very good place to see what is a wind farm like and they even have a blade lying on the ground that you can see at very a close distance. A good place to spend a weekend with a little bit of learning and a little bit of hiking. Despite of the strong wind, it may be hot in a sunny summer afternoon. Please add or remove some clothes before the guided tour begins.

Very cool place. You get up close to the wind turbines. On the tour you learn a lot about the wind farm. The history and the economics. The tour guide explained the process of installation and maintenance. He also talked about the land and the grazing cattle. Its a must see if you are in the area. Check the weather before going. We were surprised to get snow in late September.

This place was awesome, we happened to be in the area and decided to take the long was home from a concert at the gorge. This was for sure worth the drive, it does seem kind of like a road to no where but very pretty and scenic. We are middle aged and really enjoyed the information and history in the center they have! You get to get up close to the wind turbines and it really puts them into perspective of how big they really are. If your lucky you might even get to watch them climb them. Truly a phenomenal experience and I highly reccomend visiting at least once. The weather was awesome, there were plenty of parking spots, and it was not crowded. We went in the middle of june! It was perfect.

Ive driven by wind farms so many times but actually having the opportunity to get up close was a really good time. As an engineer it was wonderful seeing wind turbine components up close. We went on the 2 PM tour and learned a lot!

This was a really interesting tour. We were able to go inside one of the wind turbines (not up to the top) and examine an out of commission one that had been put on the ground, among other things. The scale of the turbines are -literally-awesome. The facility is beautiful and the staff are really knowledgeable.

This is a very well-run visitor center on a windy ridge (of course...) that gives you an up-close view of the wind turbines. They do tours and the center itself has a lot of displays and info. If youre headed through the area its definitely worth a stop. They also do special events on occasion - we happened to connect with a great wildflower hike they organized...

Nice interpretive center with friendly and helpful people. Good hiking with mountain views and wildflowers though it was windy, not surprising since this is a wind farm!
