We love coming to this dog park. The fountain is a lot of fun in the summer although your dog may get muddy. Very spacious and there’s a park for larger dogs and a separate park for smaller dogs.

Our fur babies (boxer & beagle) love this park! They have the option of taking your dog to the Large or Small dog fenced area which is great! The river side is also a great spot to take your pooch especially after being in the sun ! So far the people are friendly , no issues. We Will continue to bring them here and would recommend this place.P.S- BRING YOUR OWN WATER . The dog fountain has not been working for a while now.

There are splash pads and plenty of areas for your four legged friends to play around, climb and have a great time. There are shaded areas for both pooch and humans. Nice place! Huge area for the large breed dogs. There is a tiner of the dog fountain. The cutsu looking plants could be trimmed down more. They look like poison ivy to me and scare me. Could use a few more benches as well. Overall great place to be. Would go again. My dog seemed to like it as well. He didnt run the entire land but he did seem to enjoy following me when i walked the perimeter.

I am so disappointed with this park. I heard from my brother that my dog had a great time here last time so I went today with her again to let her have fun.My dog was having fun time until this lady with gray scrubs on came in with her two dogs ( a black labrador and a boxer) started telling everyone around her and new people coming in that their dog should be kept away from my dog because my dog showed discomfort towards her dog.I felt pressured to leave because every time new people came in, their dog wouldn’t approach my dog because of her accusation of my dog being vicious. All my dog was doing was sitting next to us.I don’t know if this happened because we were Asians but I was very upset with this experience.

Always live a great place to bring my dog. Cold water and various depths of water are great for my pup to retrieve his ball and get a good exercise. Ive got a doggy life vest in case he gets pulled further downstream by the faster water on the far side of the river. There are also a few large fields for him to chase his ball unimpeded

This is called a Dog Park, but it feels like so much more than just a place to take your dog. This park has a pavilion for parties or gatherings, and a nice fenced area for both large and small dogs. In the middle is a huge expanse of wide open land, speckled with huge trees that provide a comfortable amount of shade. Even if you dont have a dog, this is such a wonderful, quiet place to have a picnic, read, or sketch. I have enjoyed every moment I have spent here.

Ok dog park. Parking is in a small gravel lot off the street. There are two separate dog pens located short walking distance from parking lot. Small dog pen (20lbs and under) has nice sunny, grassy field to run and play with a shady forest in the rear. The large dog pen (20lbs and over) is on an incline with the gate at the bottom. The grassy hill climbs up to the sprinkler area, where dogs can run under and through jets of water. (There is no river for dogs to go swimming inside the dog pens. Apparently, there is a boat dock somewhere else on some other road where dogs on leash can jump in the Chattahoochee. I never saw it and saw no signs for boat ramp. This must be a well kept secret by the locals.) During my visit in early March 2019, the forest inside the large dog pen was being removed. Tree stumps and chipper wood everywhere. Very little shade left. Note: the County shuts off the water during Winter, including the sprinklers. Pack your own water until May! Outside the dog pens there are several large grassy fields/cow pasture-like where leashed dogs can walk. There are no hiking trails here. There is a separate kids gym with its own parking further down the street. If you live in the area and have dogs, this is a great place to socialize them!

This park is okay, but you can tell it used to not be as dusty as it is now, that there used to be more grass. I prefer New Town Dog Park in Johns Creek, myself. I think Max (my German Shepard/ Chow mix) prefers New Town, also. They do have a division for small dogs -vs.- middle and big sized dogs here, and thats a good thing. Just getting the pooches out of the house and around other dogs and people is healthy.

Great dog park! We love the wide open space that our pup gets to run in and the fountains are a nice touch! We also love taking her down to the ramp next to the Chattahoochee and when we can avoid the tubing crowd let her do a bit of swimming. Shes always happy as can be when we get there - she starts whimpering with excitement when we turn the corner and she knows were coming into the park! Its so sweet :)

Love this place! Unfortunately, we dont play in the big dog park because im not trying to have my dog killed. A lot of people will bring their aggressive dogs and then proceed to sit on their phones the entire time. So I run my GSP in the fields next to it and down to the river. If your dog is timid, do not go as busy times. Also dont bother talking to owners if their dog attacks yours, youll get cussed out. BUT if your dog does good off-leash in the fields, then you will love it!

Love this place. Its kept up pretty well even though it appears people keep breaking the spray fountain area and debris keeps stopping up the water. Does get kind of muddy in areas, but they do try to address the issue while keeping a grassy area which I appreciate.Separate area for small/large is nice. Also a short walk down next to open fields is water launch area for kayaks and such but nice little area for dogs to play.

Review №83

For those who are concerned about the water, in the large dog area, there is a button on the fence near the street. It turns on the fountains and provides water for your dogs. There are also times when there are small dogs in the large area because they have big brothers or sisters. The owners of the smaller dogs are well aware of the risks of their small dogs being in a play area with larger dogs.

There are two dog parks, one for large dogs, the other for small ones. The large dog side has a water feature that the dogs love to run around in on hot days. My complaint about all dog parks: 1)dog poop is not cleaned up by everyone 2)many dogs dont wear their tags/arent fully immunized 3)people bring aggressive dogs and dont understand pack mentality 4)people bring puppies that are too young, not fully immunized and could have parvo or other contagious illnesses. I have a very large dog who could accidentally step on some of the small dogs people bring to the large dog side. I visit occasionally and my dog loves it. Im careful and I pay attention to my dog and the surrounding area hes playing in.

Great park! Our Doberman loves it! We live in Duluth so its close for us and lots of dogs to play with. I however do not like when dog owners bring their little dogs to the 30lbs and over side my dog can easily step on a little dog and cause damage since he is 95lbs and dog owners let their little dogs run while. You are coming in to the big side at your little dogs risk so please be aware! And to the dog owners who bring kids dont let them run all over the place you can easily trigger any dog to jump or run after your child and your child can get hurt! Theres a kids park past the 2 dogs parks take them there! We dog owners come to the park to avoid kids to let our dogs play! My dog loves to run and if he sees a kid run he will run after them and jump on them. He is still a puppy so dont complain.
