Delicious strawberry rhubarb wine. I cant believe that I drank the whole bottle while sitting on their patio relaxing. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would I visit this winery again? Guess so since Ive been here many times in the past.

The place was very busy and the staff was working their butts off. The drinks were cold and the food was really good. It has great outdoor seating.

Best wine around. My favorite is their strawberry rhubarb. Delicious! But, Ive never had a bad wine from them. They are a must try, if youre a wine connoisseur.

Not your typical winery, more tasting room. But the very coolest of locations in the old Dubuque Star Brewery. Great scenery, beer museum, historical building. Wines are very good if your a Midwesterner but probably not what Wine snobs from California consider as real wine. Think adult Koolaid with 10% and youll be in fruity heaven. Great prices as well.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch on our 35th anniversary. Everything was very good. Very relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely come again. Thank you.

Visited this winery in a fascinating beer museum located on the port. Loved the layout and design of the tasting room. Large windows light the whole room up like you are sitting outside. Staff is very helpful and well versed in wine making process and history of the winemaker.Favorite part about this winery in the wine. Tasting includes generous pours and option to purchase glass for a very low price. I like sweet wines and was very impressed with their selection of them. All prices were very reasonable which encouraged me to by several.Loved the Jazz-berry Port and will defiantly be coming again.

Very interesting space that includes a brewery along with the winery. The wine tasting is a good way to sample many different wines. They range from dry to very sweet. One of the bartenders there was pretty knowledgeable about all the wines. He did a great job explaining the different grapes and combinations they used. They also serve food. Check out the Shot Tower next door as an added attraction.

Best lunch and wine. Drove an hour to stock up on wine. Had lunch outside. Pizza and quesadillas were great. They just reopened this week.

Sampled 5 wines all were really good. Ended up buying 5 bottles to go. Would not leave here without getting an order of the “goat to have” app. Very delicious. Very reasonably priced and staff was very welcoming and informative. The building itself is very unique and stylish.

What a wonderful place this is. Great pours on the wine tasting! The beer is very good. Atmosphere is turn of the century saloon, very inviting. Our server, Jenna was very pleasent and knowledgable about the history and wine.

My girlfriend and I came up to Dubuque for a January wknd to enjoy wine and relax in the bluffs. The Stone Cliff Winery is a perfect destination for an intimate happy hour with friends or a elegant evening with your favorite person. Great wine, perfect atmosphere. I wish central Iowa had a spot like this!!

The building and location of this place is amazing. Prices were reasonable and the owner was very friendly. She even had her dog Hudson there, who was super well behaved. The only negative is that we did not enjoy their wines at all. Pretty much everything except the cab was a sweet fruit wine, which some people may enjoy! Just wasnt our style. Would recommend going for the atmosphere but dont expect stellar wine.

Horrible service. Sat at a table outside for 20 minutes and no one came by to clean it off or take our orders. Got up and left.

Poor service especially when people are served before you are and had been sitting waiting awhile for service. Our last visit was a great experience.

This winery was in a really neat building, cozy place. Service was okay. They prefer you sit at bar for tastings. Felt a bit rushed, they didnt have much to day about the wines. The wines are mostly sweet. Some had great flavor. If you are a semi dry to dry wine drinker this is not the place for you. Did not try any food.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Stone Cliff Winery and their staff. I recently had my rehearsal dinner and wedding at Stone Cliff and, as cliche as it may sound, had the wedding of my dreams. Jodi and the rest of the staff were so friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Jodi, the coordinator, always communicated with me and responded in a timely manner to any questions/ideas/comments/concerns and provided me with great insight. Shortly after booking, Jodi provided us with vendor information (which was very helpful since we were an out-of-town couple) as well as communicated directly with our caterer and other vendors. The venue itself is unique and gorgeous, both on the inside and out. We had our ceremony outside on the amphitheater - with the bridge and flowering trees in the background, and the Mississippi River just over the hill (all of which made for amazing pictures). The reception was held inside and accommodated our ~160 people comfortably and is beautifully decorated with lights, wine barrels, artwork, and exposed bricks. How can such a gorgeous venue ALSO be affordable?? I would recommend Stone Cliff to any couple looking for their perfect wedding venue!

We had so much fun at this place! Wine was excellent! Food was amazing! And the staff was very friendly and fun! We will definitely be back next Tim we are in the area!

Connected building had neat displays, the Jazzberry wine was delicious and good service! Would like to come back when it’s warmer weather and the patio is open too

Stone Cliff is a great place with great outdoor seating, easy access to the riverwalk, and live music. Wines are very good, but tend to be on the sweeter side, as most area wines do. My wife and I love coming here when coming back home to visit family.

Love this place, especially the location and outdoor seating. Such a cool place to hang out and drink some good wine. A lot of the wine is fruity and sweet but so so good. Strawberry Rhubarb has been a favorite of ours for years. I recommend this place to everyone.

Great service, warm/cozy atmosphere. The pick too lunch option - house salad and turkey, bacon, cranberry panini was tasty and prepared well. Topped it off with hot spiced cranberry apple wine! Yummy and relaxing

Very good wines and a great vintage location. The atmosphere is really nice very comfortable.

Took over an hour and two different tables to complete the wine tasting. The tables were half full at best but no server would bother stopping by to refill our glasses. We finally moved to the bar with hopes of gaining someone’s attention but again had very little luck. Will not be returning.

Great wine and good service only complaint is we came at lunchtime and at first we were told that they were to busy for a tasting but a few minutes later they were able to accommodate us and we ordered lunch which took over a hour to get but they were apologetic about it

Fun spot! They were hopping busy but handled it like pros. Super friendly staff, had a Tuscan pizza that was yummy and I’m not a fan of sweet wines so just got their cab - it was so good! So happy we found this gem!

This is an awesome winery! The view over the river is spectacular, the service is incredible, the historic building is a treat, and the wine is some of the best we have tasted. The $5 wine sampling is a steal, and the wine of the month was added to the sampling for free. We bought a decent selection of wines for us as well as some for holiday gifts. We will definitely be back

Go to it! Staff was really nice they took us on a tour it was interesting. Bartender gave great service. They have reasonable prices with cheap daily deals. There is like a mini museum with information about the place it was pretty cool we got to walk around with our wine and check it out. Try the Cabernet best I ever tasted!

Stopped in thinking it was more a brewery, and found a quaint bar tucked in the beer museum. Local wines, in the sweet side and one dry white and red. Also have beer on tap. Didnt eat here but menu looked upscale mid priced.

They do a wonderful $5 wine tasting and you can select up five from a tasting menu. Their wines are on the sweeter side. Wine by the glass is around $5 a glass. Great and reasonable prices. They have a nice outside patio area where dogs are allowed.

The paninis were great, the service was friendly, atmosphere and background music perfect. The coleslaw not so hot. The bar staff not entirely professional. But I wouldn’t let that stop you from getting a bite to eat here.

Very nice place for the family. River walk is close by. Beautiful scenery. Also the place where sly stalon shot the movie fist in the late 70s.

Enjoyed the wine tasting, but the tour Nan gave us was very neat!

My wife and I found it by accident and had a great meal (Tuscan Pizza). They do not have a meal menu but serve appetizers. The pizza was outstanding, the service prompt and attentive, the music was very good and just the right volume.We did not have wine, so we have no comment on the product, just the meal and service. We will return.

Was here in April, great wine tasting - large pours. Make sure to order a flatbread! Delicious!

Delicious wine and great appetizers. The staff are all friendly and great at serving. Live music 4 nights a week too. We always enjoy our time there especially when its nice outside and you can sit at either of the patios.

Great atmosphere and beautiful location! The wines were great, strawberry rhubarb was the best Ive had in a long time. Wish I took more than 2 bottles home with me! Pizza was awesome!

Food was very good! The majority of the wines were a bit too sweet for my liking, however, the Cab was very good, and so was the Sangria.

We had a group of 20+ people go for a wine tasting for a bachelorette. The staff was incredibly accommodating with speedy service, and the wine and appetizers were delicious. I would highly recommend this place and will be going again.

Went here for a rehearsal dinner. Not only was the waitstaff amazing, the entertainment was superb. Love the wine and atmosphere!

Honestly, the wine isnt very good. It tastes like a homemade wine. We had a Groupon to here so I am happy we didnt pay full price for the bottles we took home. The atmosphere of the actual store is great. Our service was only ok- we did a tasting of several wines but werent given any background or information about what we were tasting. In terms of local wineries in the area, I wouldnt recommend here.

Awesome place to relax and enjoy some wine or beer. The beer museum has equipment on display as you walk into the wine room. Put this on your bucket list if you visit Dubuque.

If you are like me and enjoy sweet wine, this place is for you. The seasonal pineapple wine was fantastic, I proceeded to stock up and purchase 6 bottles of it since I will not be back in Dubuque for a very long time.

Do not go. Couldnt get waited on. Signed up for a a wine tasting, got 1 sample and never got waited on again after 15 minutes, i left.

Dont waste your time. We went in and sat, it had a clique feel. No one even bothered to try to serve us. We sat for 20 min out of morbid curiosity to see if we could get served. Cliff and 3 others at the bar got served but no one even acknowledged we were there. Wow!

Excellent, locally made wine and delicious flat bread pizza make this the perfect place to stop with a loved one and relax.

My girlfriend and I did the wine tasting that cost just $5, not a bad price. Its just that the staff had such a lack of personality that we didnt even feel bad enough to buy a bottle of wine out of pity. My girlfriend was asking about the history of the place and the girl working there said, What would you like to know? THE FREAKIN HISTORY! It wasnt a trick question. I just really felt weird in there. We took our complimentary wine glasses and left, without purchasing anything else. I feel like we were treated like annoying customers who were only there for the $5 wine glasses. We would have bought something if we would have been treated a little better.

I cant say Im very fond of the wine but I think its wonderful what they have done with this location. Ive attend a handful of parties here and its fun moving in and out and around the wine making operation.
