The trail is mostly flat and an easy ride. The limestone base is dirty and covers your body and the bike. A good trail to ride and would do it again. Bring plenty of water, you will need it.

Great walking trail... very scenic, but also fairly flat. We love getting take out and eating it at the pond and then going for a walk.

Peaceful trail with woodsy scenery. The path is mostly crushed limestone. Beware of the subtle declines. They sneak up on you when you turn back and have to go uphill.

Bike trail is always well maintained. I just road to Dyersville yesterday and with all the storms I found no damage. Crews were blowing leaves off the trail.A road bike can be used but I would recommend a hybrid or fat tire bike.

Great place to go walk. The trail is always well maintained. Although they do ask for you to pay $15 to get a permit to walk it but if you visit nobody ever checks, but I try to pay my 15$ for the year so it keeps looking good

Hiking? Biking? There not many better places for those than this area. If youre looking for a scenic tour, take a full leg of the trail to Durango (about 3.7 miles), or challenge yourself to do even more of the 26 mile journey to Dyersville. Theres also plenty of fishing at Heritage Pond, one of the more well known local fishing areas.
