Great place to ride mountain bikes. There are great trails for all abilities. From the green easy trails for beginners to the black diamond advanced trails for the more experienced riders. All are fun though! Lots of room to progress as rider here. We will be back!

Great trails for mountain biking or hiking. Peaceful and relaxing a great place to get back to nature for a while. I enjoy walking my pup there in the morning and then mountain biking later in the day. I would recommend getting a trail map when you first get to the trail and orienteering yourself to the map as you go along as some of the trails cross and the emergency access trails cross the trails as well. There is plenty of parking and a change building if you need it and porta potties. Abundant wildlife!

This is a great place for a nice hike it was my first time and I took my daughter cause I thought there was a creek which we did not find but I found that it is a great place for jogging and has bike trails we did not find any creeks but I would go back and highly recommend it for people that like trails for biking or jogging or even just a nice hike

Very enjoyable. Walked this trail with my two grandsons, 5 and 8 yrs. old. The trail is very clearly marked and considered a beginner trail @ 1.45 miles. Looking forward to walking the others trails as well.

Pleasantly surprised to find a MTB trail in this area. It’s a really well-kept and well-loved trail that was easy to navigate. My only gripe is having to share the trail with folks that aren’t mountain biking. For MTBers, I’d suggest parking at the Fortner parking lots.

Fantastic mountain bike trails! I cannot believe it took me as long as it did to come down here and enjoy these. Its not a particularly short drive from Fort Rucker but its easy to get to and you dont even need to get into Dothan proper. The trails are well marked (nice for emergencies), obviously maintained constantly, there are neat obstacles and some really fast sections. Theres even lots of benches if you need to take a water break. I will most definitely be returning on a fairly regular basis. Finally a great place to ride in LA!

This is truly a treasure and Dothan should be proud that they have this. This is unlike any Trail Ive ever seen, it was built for mountain bikes but unfortunately I did not have my mountain bike with me during my time at Fort Rucker. So instead I would run here, it could be 95 degrees outside but once you were in the trees it felt like it was 80, the humidity obviously was still pretty intense but there was something about running through those trees and vegetation that was peaceful and felt like you could breathe better. There is also enough of a variation in elevation to get a very good workout in. I would say that if you have issues with your ankles or knees to be very cautious about using this as a running trail because you could potentially injure yourself. This is not paved, uneven surfaces, as stated above, it was built for mountain bikes. Some of the other reviews are complaining about a lack of bathrooms or water fountains but come on, it is a nature trail, youre not going to find that in the wilderness. Overall this place is excellent

A great mountain biking trail experience in the surprising location of Dothan, Alabama. Plenty of downhill runs with the necessary accompanying climbs. Forever Wild has done an amazing job here and I look forward to what else they can bring to the area.

FlowMotion trail-builders from Colorado did a wonderful job designing and creating a fantastic Mountain Bike Trail System for us in partnership with Forever Wild. The trails topography is maximized by the design and flow of each loop within the system. Not much elevation to these trails, but there are enough rollers and flow to keep you loving every second! Come out and join Southeast Alabama Mountain Bike Club for group rides on weekends!! Either way, just get outside and enjoy our new playground...

Great place to bike, walk, or run. Only complaint is the trails are bi-directional, so you have to watch in front and behind you for people.

Jo
Review №44

Nice but needs wider paths and water sources and benches along the way. These trails were here long before the park it seems. Bikes dont observe shared space, but then neither do hikers. To really be fun, paths need to be separated. Pretty much a repurposed wetland. Still, it is nice to have alternatives to Westgate.
