It is a nice place to go. You have alot to do. Trails, biking or walking, workout area, kid play place area, baseball and softball fields, Do you Pokemon Go? Well this is a great place for that. Gather a few of your friends and teams and walk around collecting and Catching all those Pokemon. And get your workout too. You can have Battle Raids here too.

Great place for younger kids only to play. The park was designed to accommodate children with disabilities but allows anyone to come and play. However, it is very important that we respect the authenticity of this parks design and be courteous to those with special needs since all of the other parks do not provide such awesome accommodations. They recently closed the park to make updates and those are complete now and the park is back open. Best time to visit is during the week since the weekends are pretty packed.

The bike/walking trail needs maintenance on the lights. Half were off or blown but we love to visit and use the exercise equipment and ride with our kids.

Ill always love going to the Westgate trails and walking and exercising they got a really nice 3 Mile Walk and some gym equipment and a nice indoor pool with a weight room showers the whole nine yards this is really a good place to get out and shape or just go out and have a good time with the family they also have water world right next to it and walking distance I highly recommend Westgate Park

Took the dog on a walk along their walking paths. A hot day, but tolerable thanks to the portions of shaded trail and the benches strategically placed along the way.Always a nice time. Clean, well maintained. A number of folks of all ages out on the trail.Always recommended.

We were at the big playground with a couple of toddlers. They LOVED exploring all the slides and places to climb. It was clean and plenty to keep them entertained. And to my pleasant surprise, there was a changing table in the bathroom!

I take my son every week if not every other week to the play ground..I wish we had shade for the seating parents use there is one table that is shaded every other seat is on the sun..also wish we had a mist in the playground so kids wont over heat but a good water bottle helps. Beautiful park , and definitely go visit water world. The community center is wonderful and has a indoor pool and the library is terrific lot to do in this park, soft ball, volley ball, tennis, swim, bike rides, running trails and the list continues..please add so shade for parents in the playground and a Misty system it will be worth the investment

This is a really nice place. They have a really interesting road to drive through that goes along everything you can do, while the path that you can walk through leads to a lot of hidden things that you can do manually pertaining to exercise and general relaxing. Near the back theres a huge pool place and a ton of stuff to just do casually. I learned how to drive at this place and honestly its also an incredible place for that, it has every kind of road imaginable in a calm and usually quiet environment. Theres places for baseball, football, soccer, and a lot more.

Great place to get out and stretch your legs. It has a biking and hiking trail that goes around the majority of the park. It also has the Angel of Hope statue. There are a ton of tennis courts and softball fields. Overall this park has a lot to offer

You can watch a soccer or baseball game. Even a great tennis match, there are fabulous playgrounds,walking trails and a community pool....very fun!

OMG, how my son loves their playground. It is the nicest playground we have seen yet. Its huge and spacious and has lots of slides swings and other fun stuff. I wish donalsonville would take notes on what a real playground looks like. Wished it had more sitting areas for parents in the shade though. However, my son had a blast and I was seriously impressed. We will definitely be back again.

I went to this park for the walking trail. I loved how scenic the walking trail was in certain areas. It was a nice peaceful walk. The trail is super long and it has a few places here and there where you can rest. My only complaint is that the walking trail is a dirt path and it was still really muddy even though it had rained 2 days before.

A great city park! Huge playground. Walking/biking trails. Softball/baseball facilities. Waterworld! Indoor pool. Community center. Library. Ample parking. Parking available for the disabled. Wheelchair accessible. Easily accessible from Westgate Pkwy/Honeysuckle Rd.

First time at Westgate for a football game. Although, we lost it was a great field. Plenty of parking, and a concession stand, too.

There are plenty of things to do here. I do wish there was a dog park. Eastgate has one but that is much further away from where I live. The wooded path is pleasant and the bike track is very unique. There are also lots of fields for sports. I do wish there were some more shady spots.

Very nice city park. We hiked the trail loop, which was a dirt trail. It was easy and relaxing. There were tons of squirrels and birds to observe.

Large park. Plenty of space for practice time or childrens parks, bike trails, or other exercising. Plenty to do.

Love walking here, the only complaint I have is regarding the walking path, it is very rough in spots and needs to be worked on by westgate park officials. Otherwise I have nothing else to complain about. Walking here is awesome period, you see nature all around you, from birds to squirrels to butterflys. Its defiantly worth your visit to see this place. Does not matter if you walk or are a runner. Go by there today or tomorrow.

Great 5 k running trail and bike trail. Cool activities inside like a basketball gym. Water park. Awesome library with fat internet! A playground that has a wheelchair accessible ramp built throughout the middle playground!!!! Lots of baseball fields and some tennis courts

Great park to go walking! Safe and well-lit. My only complaint is that they dont take care of the walking trail. Its so full of pot holes that we have to take the stroller on the bike trail for certain sections. I wish theyd either fix it or pave it.

Ball fields, volley ball court, tennis, parks for kids, a library, indoor pool thats super affordable to use, even an outdoor water park (prices range from $9 to $12 pending age). A ton of room for parking, and a great environment for the family! Highly recommended!

Walking park was nice however it didnt have markers stating how far you had walked. Also didnt have a spot to turn around if you needed to.

The rides are good, and its overall a relaxing and fun place to visit. There arent many rides however, so its easy to get bored repeating the same rides.

Fantastic park for all activity levels. Great trail for running/walking - its mostly shaded. Theres also a nice paved trail for biking. There are fields for soccer, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and football fields. The park is very family friendly.

Westgate Park in Dothan is a very extensive outdoor entertainment complex suitable for any age. In one convenient location there are tennis courts, baseball, football, soccer, softball and lacrosse fields. A running/walking trail, playground, small water park and pool, a BMX track and plenty of open spaces an these are just what I remember driving by on the way to the soccer fields.The soccer fields are very well maintained. The grass is green and the fields are soft. Some of the best fields in the region. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained.

Love walking this trail. Half shaded and half not but its not bad at all. Very peaceful place to go walk and think about life.

Ive been using Westgate Park for years. Its its a large facility with walking and biking trails modern facilities for baseball soccer and swimming. Theres even a weight room in the building that houses the pool. A lot of people use the waterpark in the summertime. Its been awhile since Ive used it but there was a steam room in the gym complex.

Plenty of equipment at the playground. Nice rubber carpet underneath to keep injuries down. Bathrooms , water fountain & benches. Coverings for a little shade.

Great place to go for a walk and relax

The hot tub area USE TO be enjoyable. It gets so HOT in there and NOW, within the last week, they wont let you leave the door propped open for air!! You CANT use the jets or it gets so hot you cant breathe! I dont know who the new management is there but they should go sit in there for 15mins and see how hot horrible it is! Everyone Ive talked to who are using it said they NEVER had issues b4 with the door. It makes no sense. Its not hurting anything to leave it open for 10 mins at a time to get air. When someone passes out on there then theyll have issues on their hands for sure.
