The gardens was beautiful. All the displays and lights were spaced out so we could fully appreciate the views. It was fun looking for the animals hiding.. And the hot chocolate with marshmallows was perfect. I would recommend going.

Loved the lights this year - we had a great time walking the trail and finding all the figures. Really liked the will-call for tickets and everyone was very relaxed and friendly. I think this will be easily cemented as an annual family tradition!Note to anyone else going this year: the food truck advertised is a snack shack (replacement for the hot chocolate station from past years), and is not an food truck. We thought the advertisement was for real food, so we didnt eat a meal beforehand (6:00p tickets). If you have small children or dietary needs, take a snack/plan accordingly. Learn from our mistake!

Be careful of ants. It was $5 per adult which was fine. But we went at the beginning of October but there wasnt much to see. Problem I had was within 5 minutes both my kids got ate up from their knees to their feet with ants. Not just a couple but at least 30 or more ants each kid and we stuck to the paved path. The rest of the time there both my kids were scared they would be bit by ants again. We took the long path around but dont waist your time. Stick to the short path. Theres nothing in the back except some man made bridges to walk on. The roses they had were beautiful, the Chinese garden was really cool to see, even had beautiful fish to see and some rocks that made great pictures for kids, the statues were fun to look at, water fountains needed cleaned some but the kids loved them, and the scarecrows were unique and fun. The park for the kids was surprisingly clean and very sturdy so thats great. For $5 it was worth the price. Only complaint I really had was the ants and something smelled like a dead animal when you get to the 1st part in. Maybe will be better in spring and if they get rid of the ants by/on the paved path.

My kids and I love this place. Its 5$ for adults and children get in free. They have a walk in green house, plenty of plant life, and a small park for kids. They also have a gift shop. While we visited this time, they had homemade jellies and jams for 4$. They usually have something set up for the holidays too. For October, they have all the scarecrows out and decorated for certain themes.Being bug spray though! And wear comfortable shoes!

I had a great time here today, the grounds are very clean and very well kept up. Its a pretty small botanical garden but what they do have is really well done. I wish the roses were a little bit more trimmed up because they kind of look like they were just growing wild. However they have a greenhouse that has a lot of pitcher plants and some other really neat little plants growing on dead logs. This is definitely worth a visit and worth a $5 admission, parking is also shaded as well which is a relief.

Great place to take a nice sunny still and get it of the house. Very kid friendly. Even has a small outdoor playground that has remained open, even and the pandemic. Perfect for stir crazy littles. Also has a nice lake on the grounds, so bring some food for turtles and fish if you go!

Beautiful space and grounds are clean, but it could be so much better. Some areas are in need of upkeep and pruning, while other areas just need to be updated. With proper oversight and care it could be an amazing destination. We still enjoy the space and encourage others to as well. Great destination for unplugging yourself and your family while soaking in natures beauty.

Great for a family day out. Theres tonnes to explore and so much to look at! You feel like youre finding little treasures along the way. The $5 entrance fee is very reasonable considering how long youll spend at the gardens and how well maintained everything is. Plenty of places to take pictures and an overall great place just to unwind. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

My daughter and I went it was very beautiful and peaceful. There are alot of turtles that came right up to us and beautiful koi fish and of course the flowers and gardens I will definitely be going back. Just make sure you are prepared for the heat it was hot and now I know to wear clothing for almost like if you would be going to the beach and lots of water of course. I have alot more pictures but they have my daughter in them and I need to protect her identity.

Even in this time of year, the gardens have a lot to offer visitors. In addition to flowers and plants that do prosper at this time of year, there are fountains, pools with fish, and of course, beginning this Friday evening , the park will be decorated with Christmas decorations, displays, and lots of Christmas cheer! Highly recommend a trip to the gardens, now and in the spring.

Botanical Gardens are always a nice choice for a relaxing afternoon. Dothans Botanical Gardens did not disappoint. Invited some out of Town Friends to join our Easter afternoon stroll of the Gardens. One of our favorites was the wonderfully manicured Rose garden; such a lovely variety. Next was the Herb garden which was tastefully kept. But the decorated large wooden Easter Eggs were especially fun to spot as they were scattered throughout the entire Gardens. Lovely Pergolas, Gazebos, Seating Areas, Picnic Benches,Water Fountains, Statues, Walking Trails and so much more...With no entrance fee, just a donation box, we found this Gem to be very well kept and definitely worth the visit!

Beautiful place but horrible staff. Called the law on us for not knowing that they had changed from being donations only to paying $5 each. They couldnt bother to tell us that there was an admission fee and policy had changed. Would have gladly paid. Instead called an officer out there and wanted his time and ours. Officer appolagized and said everything was fine and that it was a misunderstanding. The staff never once appolagized to the officer nor us.

Ill give it three stars only for the fact that I know this place was beautiful the last several times I came here. I have no problem donating to the garden, but when it has now been mandatory, kind of makes me upset. I was not even aware that a charge was in place. My husband and I were startled by a man who said we needed to come through the front glass doors and pay. That was the first time I have even heard of the charge, so I asked when it started (which began in July), his snarky remark was, Well, the grass doesnt cut itself. Instead of following the man inside, we walked back to the car and didnt look back. He was rude, so we said deuces.
