Nice large tennis center. They have everything that you would need to play. Call ahead of time to make a reservation, cant make reservations online. Its not the newest facility but its good and its cheap ($3pp) to play! They even had loaner rackets ($3) to use if needed.

I got there at 8:30 in the morning to vote the place had a line long and you can imagine it took me 2 hours to get in and out but that being said they did a great job of getting us in and out everybody was social discussing and everybody had on a mask great job

Tons of stuff for kids and golfers (Tennison is next door) but nothing else really. Over half of it is the kid swim park, tennis courts, amphitheatre, teaching golf course, and outdoor kids playground. Very small trail around the kid playground, large amount of park to walk on but no trail for it, even the small seasonal pond has a random bridge with no path to it, a lot of potential that seems to be ignored here... Only real upside is it is spacious with tons of shade trees. I was primarily looking to walk.

A great open-space park for sporting activities, picnics, and whatever else one may wish to utilize it for. It is situated in an area which, during certain hours, leaves it prone to...”interesting characters” who may find themselves roaming about the premises. This, however, is only seen as threatening to those who feel threatened by “interesting characters.”All in all, I’ve enjoyed many events at this park within my lifetime and will definitely have another visit...or a hundred.

A good place to go swimming with your family at a reasonable price if you are a Dallas city resident. If you do not live in the City of Dallas, then you will pay another price to get in. I do not know what is that price for non-City of Dallas residents. You will need your I.D to get in the swimming pool, so please DO NOT FORGET IT. Spacious area, very nice lazy river with a smaller pool in the middle of the lazy river. The infant or children pool is spacious for the little ones to enjoy. They also have two slides, small pool obstacle course, and a large swimming pool ranging from 3 ft to 12 ft. As for people who like to rock climb on the deeper end or drive in on a diving board this is the place for you. PLEASE NOTE FOR YOUR CHILDREN SAFETY, THEY WILL HAVE TO TAKE A SWIM TEST IN ORDER TO GO ON THE DEEPER END OF THE POOL! The staff are nice and friendly. You can also bring in a cooler with your food and drinks... NO ALCOHOL is allowed! They also have a concession stand if you want to eat their food. This location have plenty of parking and spaces for you to sit if you just wanted to chill out in or out the sun. They also have lockers, although they are very small. I am definitely going back again with my family!

This was my first time here and first time experiencing Shakespeare. This was a very intimate experience. While it was very casual, some people turned it formal. You can bring your own table and chairs or rent them there cheap. You can bring your own food and drink also. Some people were eating chips and sandwiches while drinking water or cokes, while others were having steak dinners with a nice scotch, still others having a burger and a beer or wine and cheese

This was my 1st time out to that park to play softball .... this will be my 1st and last time out there, field conditions are horrible, walking out to right field is like walking up a small hill, holes in the outfield, the field needs WAY more lighting cant see balls coming at you,and you guys are allowing blue dot HARD BALLS to play with someone is gonna get seriously hurt with the bad lighting.... bases jesus ,get some real bases instead on having to hammer them down with stakes each game or night.... had a teammates slide into 3rd and it came up ... City of Dallas fix the fields if your gonna allow teams to play there

Ive lived in Dallas all my life and basically grown up visiting this park almost everyday. In a nutshell I am so disappointed with the lack of resources and utter socioeconomic discrepancy this park highlights. On one end of the park, the services that cater to the community (lower socioeconomic), is decrepit. The pool is just now being revamped after some 30 years of abuse. The swings are rusted, graffiti all around the sitting areas, and trash everywhere you can see. On the other hand, the newly revamped golf course (where the higher economic class has exclusive rights) is pristine. Members who live no where in the community flock to its roaring hillsides to whisk around in their golf carts, boasting their Mercedes and Land Rovers. This park has so much potential, but has as always catered to the wealthier class.

Samuell-Grand Park is not in the nicest or safest part of Dallas. I go to the Park a few times a year for the semi-annual Shakespeare in the Park performances. I am happy to go there with a big group of people who all enjoy cultivating the arts and celebrating theater but I would never go there alone since it does not seem all that safe during other times of the year.
