Cute museum. Not much going on inside but for $10.00 the price is fair. I would not go out of my way to visit, but if you’re in the area stop by and take a look. If you work in aviation you will get through this museum in about 45 minutes. Many of the exhibits are recreations. As an example many of the munitions on the fighters are clearly made from pipe. They’re not even demilitarized or well done replicas. The A7 and RF-8 are in such bad shape, their tires are flat and struts depleted. The aircraft here are not taken care of. The F-105 was falling apart and a volunteer was on top of it with a leaf blower and spray paint trying to make it look better. This place has a lot of potential.

This large, friendly and relaxed flight museum has some real gems, in particular in military and space aircraft. Easy parking and reasonably priced across the board. This is not usually a busy place (no school trips right now) and some of the interactive displays are paused (in 2020), but if you want to see a few great finds---try this large Love Field-areas hangar. Our 6 year old loves to come here and see all the planes and mannequins and toys in the gift shop. The disabling of the interactive items is understandable, but drop my review to a 4/5, but the friendly people and their understanding of these strange times makes me glad they are one of the museums still charging forth to educate and entertain. There are some really unique aircraft here, so do visit and explore.

The Museum was a really nice place. All the people who work there are friendly. The planes are a cool thing to walk around and learn about. There is also a really nice area full of picnic tables under some huge planes outside the building immediately to the right as you drive in. Very good place for casual/leisurely experience and watch some planes come and go from the airfield behind the place.

As a huge aviation aficionado, I knew when I came to Dallas, I had to check this place out. Im really glad I did. This location had many areas assigned to the different eras of aviation history along with different static displays.Overall I spent about 3 hours here reading and taking photos of the different planes.

Happy Moon Day 2019. FoF Museum is a nice place for kids and adults alike. Moon Day was a celebration of space discovery and many cool displays were customized towards this. Surprised at how much history and technology has been made since the first days of flight. If you enjoy planes from commercial to military this is a great place to visit.

Although there were more model and test planes here than actual airplanes, I really enjoyed my visit to Frontiers of Flight. As a pilot, I was disappointed there were no cockpits I could actually sit in (especially the 737!). Overall, the exhibits were great and the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed watching planes take off from DAL right from the parking lot of the museum! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Detailed planes and museum exhibits make this places 10 dollar admission worth it. Lots of the planes are hung up in the roof however and they makes it difficult to really see them. The stuff you can see however is awesome and highly detailed. They have an entire section devoted to Southwest Airlines and being as I work there that was pretty cool.

This is a real neat place to go to. Our son is very interested in planes and wants to go into the military when he grows up, this was a great place to take him. You learn about the first planes all the way back to the 15hundreds to the most recent planes and even about balloons. You can hear stories about air fights from WW1, WWII and more including Gulf War in the 90s. We will go back once all the on hand exhibits open. Kids and adults of all ages will enjoy this place. We also thought it was neat that while in there you could hear the planes from Love Field take off and land.

Im someone that is in aviation but even if I wasnt I would have loved coming here. There is a ton of things to see and learn about at this museum that I didnt even know from before. We also meet a great tour guide that served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He gave us even more information about the planes in the museum where you couldnt find information on. I have no regrets going and spending the day there. It is definitely worth your time.

Really enjoyed this museum. The volunteers in red vests really enjoy their position and were a joy to talk to. You can really tell the people here have a passion for aviation and for helping people. They lay out the museum by time periods and advancements in aviation. I’d love to return next time I’m in town.

Frontiers of Flight Museum is a fun, educational destination for the whole family. No matter if youre an aviation geek or have never been airborne theres interesting sights and stories to experience. North Texas has a rich aerospace tradition and these museums serve an important role in paying homage to this heritage but more importantly inspiring future generations to carry it on. Dont wait to plan your visit.

Very well done with lots of big displays (a southwest 737 is half in half out of the building) and lots of small informational displays too that are well curated and presented. There were a bunch of model airplanes of various sizes and types which is a plus for model lovers and I thought the photography exhibit about the control towers was beautiful. The 7yo old thoroughly enjoyed the planes you could get in and play with and I liked reading the displays. It covers everything from Kitty Hawk to Space Flight, with a lot of local Southwest/Braniff exhibits. Highly recommended for airplane enthusiasts of all ages.

Great museum! There are so many airplanes to look at from pre WW1 to things they took into outer space. Even that pancake airplane was pretty cool and unique as it is the only one in the world I was told. I liked the Southwest planes you could go up into and sit in and learn more about their history. Whats neat about this location is that its so close to the airport you can feel the roar of the jet engines that take off.

Although Im not sure if it is encouraged by staff members here, but it is nice to see the aircraft land and take off! Id call it a rewarding, yet happy ending!

The Frontiers of Flight Museum is quite close to the Dallas Love Field Airport. It consists of variety of fighter jets planes and other experimental models kept on display. There are some cool things like the Apollo 7 Command Module and other space shuttle based equipments. Its just a display museum you can go to check new things out and get information upon.

Awesome museum! Been there twice! Both times I loved it. However, being a hands-on person, finding that the cockpits to both 737 aircraft were glassed off was disappointing. As a student pilot, I understand in keeping aircraft as restored as possible, and sometimes children can get a bit rowdy and break things, but as a future 737 pilot, I really wish the cockpits where open to sit in.

This is an amazing museum, it has a huge collection of airplanes, and very informative exhibits. It explains how airplanes have aged over the decades, and also has a good section about current planes, and the 4 forces of aviation. The exhibits are also kid friendly, especially the ones that they can go inside. There are not many interactive galleries, but most of the information inside makes up for this. The docents are just amazing. Many of them have their own stories to tell, a few even fought in WW2 and the Vietnam War. There are a lot of great spots for photos, in front of the military planes, and with all the planes hanging from the roof. Plan to spend 2 hours there. All in all, this is an amazing informative museum that can be a lot of fun.

This museum is very close to Love Field, so we visited prior to picking up family at the airport. It was a great way to spend an hour or more. The museum is laid out to reflect the history of flight, from the Wright Brothers through space travel, which includes the Apollo VII spacecraft and a full size model of the 1903 Wright Brothers airplane. One of our favorites is the opportunity to climb aboard a Boeing 737 Southwest Airline nose, and aircraft. There is also a nice gift shop for souvenirs. This is such a special place. It contains a large amount of historical aircraft both inside and outside. They have numerous displays that are on loan from the Smithsonian Museum located in our Nations Capital. The Volunteers that work here are very knowledgeable about all types of Aviation items. The cost is minimal and you could spend a couple of hours reading and photographing the displays. There is a snack bar located inside and a special interactive room for the young Aviators. They have a large meeting area that can be reserved for use by a club or group of people. It is on the property of Love Field here in Dallas, Texas and is easy to see from the nearest street. Go and enjoy yourself and take the kids to give them an interesting learning experience.
