Beautiful!! We jogged here early one morning which was perfect. The paths are covered with wood chips, which is easy on the old joints. There were some interesting signs talking about the historical significance of the area, not too many. Nice to learn about it. The paths make some natural loops, we were able to get in about 2.5 miles with a couple loops.

All the trails loop back around, there are multiple benches to hang out at, there are 2 benches overlooking the river, a gazebo, a rock garden, a little mini waterfall, and they seem to have things being worked on all the time by volunteers. Its kid friendly, dog friendly, and my daughter and I love taking snacks like a picnic. People clean up their trash and doggy messes. Its safe and next to the Dallas City Park. Also, people paint rocks and hide them. Join in for the fun!

Awesome place. If you live local and have never been your missing out. The have every species of trees and plants that are native to this area and each is clearly marked with a placard stating all the details about tree or plant. The volunteer staff do a bang up job of maintaining and adding to the arboretum.

I love to walk the nature paths. I learn something new with each stroll.Fact Kiosks abound !!Labeled plants w/descriptions,Types of native and invasive plants. Even history- ie; Where the many different tribes of Native Americans had originated, how they all lived before the treaties. (Many tribes were condenced to the Gronde Ronde Reservation.) tells what languages each spoke, types of foods each ate, where and when they would hunt and gather, types of dwellings they lived in.There are many facts on our area!! Its a great way to uphold, and value our history. Even the loggers who made the flumes that sent logs from Val Setz and Black Rock area down the Rickreal creek to the Old Mill are honored and vividly depicted with facts and photos so informative, right there and real. An experience Great for all generations, old, new and yet to come.A must see when visiting Dallas Oregon !!
