Very well maintained and clean trail with lots of different terrain. It is a biking trail but there are many people hiking as well. Lots of shortcuts if you dont want to take the whole trail. Our favorite is the orange trail which is in a wooded forest.

I really enjoyed this hidden gem. Never knew it was there. Very peaceful, big place to explore, amazing sounds from the birds and crickets, just a relaxing place. Trails were even an adventure. My first time there and I already told my best friend about that place.

There is a good amount of nature here and you really do forget youre in the city. Seems like a fun mountain bike trail, but i walked today. The entrance is a little tricky to spot if youve never been here. Its probably best to go here during normal hours when there are plenty of people imo, but overall an enjoyable experience

This is a wonderful place to hike. There are so many trees and its really shaded. This is a perfect place to go on family walks and enjoy fresh air. I recommend going during the week, since weekends are going to still be nice but have a lot of people riding bikes.

Very cool trail with lots of different features. Nothing too difficult, do great for all skill levels. There is a nice jump section off of loop 4 that has a variety of jumps to work on your technique. They recently added signage that makes it much easier to navigate the park. Check for closings after heavy rains, as other trail takes time to dry out. I highly recommend this trail!

Took my cats on a walk here and it was so much fun! It wasnt crowded and the area is really quiet. The paths are very confusing though.. the map sign had bullet holes, so you couldnt read the map routes and there arent any signs to let you know which path youre on, so we did get lost, but eventually made our way back out to the front. We wanted to see the streams but couldnt find those either.

Fun mountain bike trail with some easy spots, but lots of more difficult spots that require some string technical skills. It definitely looks like the parking lot is a spot for some sketchy activity after dark, but it was fine when we got there in the morning.

I truly enjoyed coming here. My only complaint would be that I wished the trails were more clearly marked. There were a few times I felt like I was going in circles, but I loved how peaceful it was. Adding it to my regular places around DFW to hit the trails.

The trail is poorly marked but this is not a bad thing if you’re looking for adventure. Always keep your safety in mind. My family and I use it to hike and we once ran into a pack of dogs that were quite aggressive but this hasn’t been an issue the la set few times we’ve been as we did not see them. Great trail for the mountain bikes as well. Could use some maintenance.

Primarily off road biking trails, so if youre coming to hike be sure to start on the left side and walk counter-clockwise. The paths are nice and clear and the terrain is really nice for trail running. Only problem is once you get to the part where all the other loops begin, you can find yourself walking in circles. Very clean and friendly spot tucked away in the middle of Oak Cliff

Our second favorite trail next to Grapevine Lake. We were hesitant when we saw someone did target practice on the entrance sign but we seemed to be the only people on the trail and it was quiet and beautiful. I love that it’s a hidden gem and we walked the entire thing without coming across anyone else and I love trails that I can just be alone in nature. Also the random art was a fun surprise. We love it.

The trails here rough, but quite scenic. Generally the paths are pretty clean and mostly untouched. Meaning, insects and animals are present, really present. So pack everything youll need just in case you get bit or stung. The paths usually loop and are sorted by color. These usually represent difficulty of the trail. Throughout the trail, posts are scattered that mark where you are along with a QR code of the preserves map. Overall, a pleasant experience. And please bring a helmet if your biking, it wont hurt to.

The trail is amazing. I like how its discrete and not to many people know about it. However its changed. It has gotten more popular and crowded. I use to be able to walk my dog in peace while walking the trail. There were two occasions where I was walking my dog on a leash. other people were doing the same but they did not have their dogs on a leash. In result, my dog was approached by the other dogs and they ended up fighting each other. On one of those occasions I ended up getting bit while trying to separate my dog ,who was leashed, from the other dog that was unleashed. Luckily the bite mark didnt get infected. I didnt even notice that I got bitten until I lifted one of my pants leg up. People if you read this there are laws regard about leashing your pets while taking them for a walk. For your safety and the safety of your pets, please follow the leash laws. Theyre there for a reason.

Good place to go for some nature and trees in the middle of the city. Be aware that trails are not well marked, however. I didnt have any trouble finding my way back, though as I have a good sense of direction.Likely due to the microburst windstorm we had the other day, a huge tree down across yellow trail -- about the mile in -- so we had to turn back. Im sure the city will remove it when it becomes aware.

Awesome place for mountain biking! Theres always other people riding there so even if you go by yourself youll more than likely will see other riders. The trails are very well marked with the difficult level of it and there are loops to take in case you want to go around. This nature preserve is a hidden gem of Oak Cliff. It is bigger than it seems, and within a few minutes of walking you will forget that youre in the middle of a city. The traffic sounds fade away and the wildlife and blue skies come into focus. In the spring this place explodes with blooming native plants. Watch out for flooded or muddy trails after a rain. There are wooded trails and open spaces. There is a chance you could see woodpeckers, owls, foxes or lizards. And if you wander in the right direction, you could stumble into the area with all the street signs and other novelties in the middle of the woods.

From California, was skeptical of the gun violence in Dallas when I saw the bullet holes but other Google review said its been there for 9 months. Big park, some steep trails. Everything is mapped though and they have a link you can find on trail poles walking around the park. Beautiful views of cedar and natural Texas opuntia (cactus). The only scary part to me would be the cyclists. It seems like there is a community of them here, but for how many blind corners there are in the park, I would not take someone here who doesnt have a fast reaction time. Seems like when you get to that arch where apartments poke into the map at the top, you can get lost and circle. Cool spot there though with random eclectic sprawlings.

Excellent trail very close to the city. The trail is marked very poorly close to the trail head. But the further you get on the trail, the trail markings are excellent. The was a good mix of hikers and mountain bikers. Bikers were very polite. Returning to the trail head was an adventure. We followed two groups who told us they knew the way and we all went down the wrong trail twice. This was a really good local trail. Warning - no public restrooms.

I love hiking trails and this one was on the list so we navigated ourselves there. I live in north Dallas so this was a nice drive for us. When we arrived we immediately felt unsafe not to mention it was getting dark. There were bullet holes in the sign and the area was just hood, and the apartment right next to the entrance of this preserve looks haunted. I would suggest going somewhere else unless you from this area and no some people ok.
