I loved this little hidden place. It looks as though it’s in a rough part of Texas though. Very fun little nature walk with turtles and fish the trees are so cool.

Jumbo, The Dallas Mammoth stands outside the original 1936 Natural History Museum. He is a life sized bronze based on mammoth bones excavated here in Dallas.

This place is so much fun to check out during the off season! We love bringing the kids out, taking picnic supplies and just enjoying the view. There is so much to explore and the best part is, its free!!! You can park in the grounds or take the train. The gates are open freely during the off season. Just keep in mind there is wildlife and to pick up after yourself of any trash. We love seeing whats swimming around in the lagoon but hate seeing the trash floating about. Well worth a trip if you have only checked it out during Fair season!

Great place to bring the kiddos. Lots of fish and turtles to feed, but dont given them bread or other foods with empty calories. Bring veggies like peas, lettuce, of actual turtle food from a pet store. Dont be surprised if 50 turtles greet you at the steps.

This is one of my favorite places to be. Since I was a small child I loved walking along the lagoon in and out of the waters path. As an adult, I love bringing my kids here now to play.

It was pleasant, although when I went it was terribly cold and windy. Im sure it would be a much better experience in the summer when it is warm. The lagoon was calming and well laid out, so no complaints about that.

Nice trail located within the fair grounds. Lots to see and enjoy. The kids love it and there are a lot of activites for them to do. This is an historical site and I would reccomend others to come check it out! History is all around and there are a lot of things to learn!

It is nice to take picture with the ferris wheel in the background, showing your kids tadpoles and turtles in the pond. But the water is very dirty, not sure if they leave it on purpose for the creatures

Very serene and nice, but not once in almost ten years have I ever seen the swan paddle boats working, or even an attendant or staff in the area. Otherwise this would get five stars. Ive made special trips during the hours they have posted, but never once were they ever open or in operation. Very frustrating.

The lagoon is a must see if you are in or near the Fair Park in Dallas. The kids loved how it connects a sturdy concrete path over the water of the lagoon with a pretty view on the floating bridge. There are fish you can feed and numerous birds and squirrels. It also has neat swan shaped paddle boats you can rent.
