Beautiful open space with some hidden gems! We hiked here 3 days out of our trip in Colorado Springs and there was plenty to see. Amazing scenery and loved watching the climbers as well. Great to go in the evening time. We saw 20 deer one evening. Well maintained and felt safe on the main trails as you’ll see people every once in a while, if not often. Only complaint is that if you are not at the main entrance, the trail maps are terrible. We had to take a picture of the one in the main parking lot to reference.

I would stick to the inner valley. Much more scenic there. The Hogback trail isnt as pretty, but it does provide a great viewpoint of Colorado Springs and the front range. There are nice wide trails that accommodate for those seeking an easy to moderate challenge level.

This place is great for friends and family! It’s too busy of a park to be able to let your pet off leash, but the trek is so fun for your well-trained pups. I would recommend all of the trails, but some treks are definitely intended to be a day trip rather than a 20-30 minute hiking experience. This place is a tried and true hiking experience that the whole family will love.

Awesome hiking trails! Plenty of paths to choose from based on your ability. There are free ride areas for mountain bikes, two off leash dog areas (fenced in), dogs are welcome on leash in the rest of the park. I saw plenty of young kids as well as my 14 year old all enjoying their time here. I cant wait ti come back!

I absolutely love this park. There are so many lovely trails, each time I take a new path. I have hiked for years and have not hit most of the back half of the park. There are 2 beautiful lakes too. The views of Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods are spectacular. There are often bunnies, deer, lots of birds, and squirrels in the area, even a chipmunk or 2. Local rumors say that new parking lots are going to be built and then the park will be commercialized like GOG. If this happens, then I think the peaceful majesty, glorious beauty, and tranquil serenity of the area will be ruined.

Amazing views with great trails. The rocks are really quite beautiful. Its a shame people dont follow the rules when it comes to littering, climbing and carving their names in things. People leave their dog poop bags on the side of the trail like somebody is going to pick up after them. Shameful. Otherwise, there is wildlife to be seen, plant life to observe and many trails to hike.

Such a great place to take a morning walk. It has a little bit of history and a ton of nature. It looks like nothing from the road. I mean no bad things by that. However even the 2 mile trail will challenge you without breaking you if you don’t work out every day. (You know who you are) Nothing more than a 15% incline without steps, plus markers from the project paperclip days to keep you entertained.

What an incredible place to hike and see the beautiful rock formations in the canyon. My son and i came out this past week for vacation and found ourselves hiking the trails 3 separate times. We were super bummed that the Incline was closed and it was top on our list of things to do during our visit. We still wanted to hike so we tried the trails at Red Rock Canyon and were soooo happy we did! Got an amazing workout in and the scenery was gorgeous. I even got up at 5:30am the day we flew out just to get one last hike in. Got to the trails right at sunrise and it was the most breathtaking view! I cannot recommend these trails enough️

Has some rock formations like Garden of the Gods but they are much smaller. Lots of well maintained trails that are easy to navigate. A great place for hiking with the family. All the trails are pretty easy, even the advanced trails which are basically just more windy and may have some steps to climb. You could hike 4 or 5 miles here pretty easily. You could also connect to other trails and head toward the mountains. There are great views of Colorado Springs and Garden of the Gods from the higher elevations.

This place is an awesome spot to get away from the city limits. They have several hiking trails and various ways to get around. On one side is a lake or the other are some hiking trails. Great place to bring your dog and just walk. Be careful with the animals along the way, hawks and several fawns. Not sure if fishing is allowed but you can always ask.

Moderate hike with some gorgeous views of the mountains, the garden of the gods, and of the Red rock Canyon. Very peaceful and a good spot for those who want to meditate or those who want a hard hike. There are some more expert hiking areas that will challenge and invigorate. You can spend hours up here in the beauty of the foot hills. This is an excellent spot for novice to expert hikers.

Dropped by here on a recommendation of a local colleague the day after I arrived into town for a light hike to get acclimated to the elevation. This ended up being a really good warm up before doing the Manitou incline the next day. Fairly easy trails with some pretty neat views. Easy parking as well. No restroom at the main entrance but they did have a port-a-potty which worked just fine.

This is a nice trail to go on with your dog. Most of the area is leashed but they have a closed off-leash loop for folks who want to let their dogs roam a bit. It gets pretty hot in the day and the sun rays are pretty strong, so make sure to bring enough water and sunblock. The only downside is that the trail markers are a bit hard to read. We actually ended up wandering off course a bit because of this. If I recall correctly, all the wooden trail signs seemed to be the same color, but if you cross-reference them with the full map, you should be able to see the difficulty of that particular trail.
