Nature center was closed but the trails are what we really come here for. They are perfect for young kids. We saw so many mule deer!

Easy trails, I took my two daughters, 4 and 8. They played in the creek the entire time so we didnt go too far. Wear appropriate trail shoes and bring water shoes for the kiddos. The Nature Center was open and has clean restrooms.

One of our favorite places in Springs! Lots of easy trails for kids to hike. There is a creek that winds through that is accessible from many many areas . summer and fall are my favorite times to go because of all the beautiful trees and flowers. During the fall time the leaves are stunning! It’s very well kept - I’ve never seen trash or dog poop on the trails. My favorite area is the curved path where the bench is at (the fall picture below). There is a small bridge over the creek and then this cute little bench. Love it! Wonderful place to spend the day or an afternoon!

Beware when purchasing tickets if you need to cancel you will not get your money back. I didn’t see this noted anywhere, and was told they dont give any refunds. I think that’s a little shady, why not refund for service not rendered? But they were happy to take my cancellation in order to sell more tickets?

I went right in the beginning of Spring when it was not green yet but it was still beautiful. It felt very peaceful here and you could here all different types of birds singing. There are trails for hikers, bikers and you horses. They also have bee hotels, bird houses and bridges over creeks. Absolutley lovely.

This small little nature center has a lot of events that you can come check out. If you are just passing by, they have a small museum full of information of the animals that live here and that you may encounter. It has activities for little kids to do there and a small movie theater to watch information of the bears around the area. The little hiking area around the nature center is also quite an enjoyable experience. It is a great place for hiking beginners and people who just want to relax.

We came upon Bear Creek accidentally when looking for the Inteman Trail. Its a small Nature area with short easy to moderate hikes. Perfect for kids and seniors with decked walk ways and dirt trails. Has a lovely stream that runs through, and lots of flora and fauna. We saw a 6+ point buck on our walk!

Loved this place when my son was tiny. Now that he is older we still enjoy hiking here. For preschoolers they have great programs and even school age kids have field trips to this beautiful park. Lots to see and discover here, they are very helpful folks and annually host a teddy bear picnic. We have even seen a hummingbirds nest here once. You never know what you will find once you walk out your door........

Took a group of girlscouts to this place, morning was great, afternoon not so much. It seemed like 2 different people were guiding us(she was the same girl). Morning was fun, and engaging. Afternoon, she seemed like the girls were working her last nerve and lectured them many times on hike, and continued to say the same thing over and over, for over 25 min. on how they should stay with guide, after she told several to go ahead. Very mixed message. Parents and kids were unnerved from the experience. Also, was under the impression we would be completing 3 badge, but we are lacking 2-3 requirements on each. And received no badge what-so-ever for the entire day we spent there. It was kind of a waste of day, and money, we still have to buy the badges and spend our time to complete. Wont be doing this again. :(

Don’t send your kids to camp here! Camp counselors don’t know how to work with kids. They sit apart from the students and yell at them.
