Decent dog park. Plenty big. Sandy af and likely a total mess with any moisture. No water stations. Not maintained by the city as far as poop bags go. Pretty nice view of the Springs and the mountains.

Love the park even though people don’t pick up after their dogs. Wish I could bring my dogs here more often since it’s 5 minutes away from my house but almost every time I bring them here, they end up getting roughed up by aggressive dogs. Seems like people that bring their dogs to this park don’t care to keep control of them. I have never had this happened in any other dog park in town.

We love this dog park because most people are local regulars with very respectful dogs and owners. There are toys for dogs to play with and shade for everyone in spots. There are logs for play and sand to dig in. The only thing I wish is that there was a water source on site so we did not have to bring our own!

Very large dog park with a good variety of different areas. I feel it would be better if it did have the option for an area for 20lbs. And under to play since there was a few digs there that were at least 120lbs. My dog was too afraid to run with some of the dogs

Love this place. Take my dogs here all the time and I can be comfortable that it is safe and they wont find something that will hurt them or make them sick. There is normally water and the water fountain normally works (which is better than most other dog parks), and there are also normally poop bags. its a little bit small, but the location makes it within walking distance and I still feel like I can go there without being forced to talking to other people.Recently (a year or 2 ago) someone dumped a bunch of bark in the back, and some weeds are growing around it and its gross, but still not unsafe. I hope someone can keep an eye on this and maintain it as needed, but for now, its still a nice feature rather than a useless eyesore.

This dog park is always well maintained. there is sand instead of dirt in most of it so when it is wet the dogs dont get super wet. there are always bags for picking up dog poo and the trash cans are never full. the view is also beautiful here! a great place to take pictures of your pup if youre into that kind of thing.

My dog Steve really likes to come here to run with other dogs and meet new friends. It can get a little hot on summer days for a black dog, so Id suggest going later in the evening. My dog is nine years old and still has a great time every time that he goes, and there are usually a few new dogs each time. Some owners could do a better job at picking up their pets water, but it is overall very clean and a great environment.

At some places the fence is pretty short because of the sand washing downhill. So if your dog is a jumper...Overall a nice big space with the usual problem of people not cleaning up after their pet

BEWARE of old man in photo and his aggressive dog.I was told by a couple people at this park to be careful of aggressive dogs and their owners. I was shocked because most owners I had met were very friendly and got along great for the most part with all the other dogs. Occasionally one doggie got out of line and their owners would apologize and real them back in. Unfortunately, not this gentleman. While my pup was trotting around the park, his German Shepherd aggressively chased, and nipped at my dog that kept trying to bounce away (as he always does). However, when the gentleman started talking to me, he warned me to keep my dog back from his. I was shocked.Sadly, this seems to be something the gentleman does to compensate for his aggressive dog. PLEASE be careful - during our brief interaction, something felt off about his mental state and he made me very worried about coming back to this park. Note: He also seems to have a boxer, which I saw chasing and nipping at other dogs in the park.

LOTS of tennis balls. There is a water fountain. There is shade in the middle of the day. It’s large and there is lots of room to run around. There is grass and sand/dirt.

Review №62

This is a fairly decent size dog park with lots of trees, grass, and areas for your pooch to investigate. There are water bowls near the entrance, but I didnt see any water source, just jugs used to fill the bowls. There is a low spot in the perimeter fence on the east side, so if you have a climber or jumper, keep an eye out. The dog park doesnt have its own parking lot, which is not a big deal, I just prefer moving my animal directly into a park rather than cross a street with distractions.

Na

Theres a little obstacle course for dogs that do that sort of thing, theres plenty of stimulus, lots of balls all over. Water fountain, varying terrain, plenty of trees for those hot days your dog needs shade, some chairs and benches for owners to sit and relax.

Review №65

This is a great dog park. Its usually fairly busy, but its big enough that your dogs will have plenty of room to run around and play to get some energy out. Most people do a great job cleaning up after their dog too, so its actually a fairly clean dog park! The only downside is the 3 things for the dog obstacle course equipment are very old and not very dog friendly, and there isnt a big choice. Otherwise, great place to let your dog run around with other dogs and get some energy out. Be prepared your dog will most likely be very dirty from the sand, especially if it rains when you go. There is a little patch of grass up top, but mostly the whole place is sand.

The Rampart Dog Park is great for over cast days. Plenty of room for sports breeds to run. A few trees in the back for shade. This park even has obstacles for dogs to play on or run through. The best part was a fellow dog owner brought a RC car that could go 60+ mph. This had the dogs go crazy as they chased the car around the area the size of half of a football field.I recommend going as the dogs were very nice and open for dogs to have a little privacy if needed.Note: all dogs must be spayed or neutered. The perimeter is large enough for the dog owner to have a nice walk.

Love coming here with my dog when I dont feel like following her all over the large dog parks in the area. Experience is like most dog parks, a variety of dogs and their owners. This particular park balances more toward respectful and responsible dog owners, with the odd iffy encounter here and there (usually caused by intact males). Cant ask for any more for a free, public use area. (Bring water)

The people all know each other and they are super nice. They dont expect all dogs to be perfect (our dog kept jumping on people). The park is big enough to tire them out but small enough to never lose sight of them. Its in a convenient location, and theres a trail that loops around it. The view from there is great too!

Good community support for dog park (people bring old bags and they bring water during off seasons). Year round trash removal by city. City provides water and mowing Memorial day through September. Good mix of terrains for dogs. Some shade. Perimeter loop is about 0.2 miles for humans that want to get their steps in.

There is a great view from the park and it’s nice to be able to see the dogs everywhere you go but it’s a boring park, relatively small compared to the other dog parks in the city and it’s all sand and loose dirt. The dogs and you end up filthy without much fun. The whole place seems poorly managed. And if you plan on coming in the spring and summer then you’ll need to share the parking lot with those playing baseball, basketball, and more. There are much better parks in the city to go to.
