I think it’s very charming theater. Small cosy and intimate. I hope it will get more visitors and will continue to do a cool plays. Since we were visiting Chicago, I spent a good amount of time on searching what to do in Chicago. And I am so glad I found this Midsummer play, it was funny, touching and surprising. I loved the experience when only two actors can entertain you during all ninety minutes of performance. Good job and please keep up with your good work! Also the bartender was so friendly and cheerful.

So glad we got here super early for my brothers-in-laws birthday and were the first ones in our section, paid a little extra too, for the theater to throw a row of people right in front of all of us so I have this ~amazing~ view of the people in front of us’ heads because the theater didn’t count how many people they sold tickets to. Singers sound great but I wish I could see. So happy right now......-_-

I was worried because I had never been to this theater and I wasnt sure how ADA compatible it would be. Much to my delight, they had an elevator, and sat me somewhere I could keep my Walker close by. They we also super accommodating and friendly with my fellow patrons. I almost never give a 5 star rating but they really earned it!

It is a beautiful theater house with a very helpful and friendly staff. It is more expensive than going to the movies but you may be able to actually meet the actors after the show.

It is irresponsible towards public safety, harmful to staff, and a slap in the face to the local theatre community to be opening an indoor performance as the pandemic is on the rise in Lincoln Park. In the past, I have enjoyed attending Greenhouse Theatre performances, but due to this theatres response to criticism to opening their performance of Judy and Liza (in a time when even Broadway is shut down!), as well as stories surfacing from people who have worked with Greenhouse Theatre Center citing unprofessional practices from leadership, and I can no longer engage with this theatre under current leadership.

I came here to see a play called Blonde Poison! My friends and I were really excited to see the show and it was opening night! I had heard they moved the stage last minute, but the space, stage, and props were in perfect condition. The seats were comfortable can and the house wasnt too crowded. I showed up too late to grab drinks at the bar, but I heard my friend enjoyed his drink throughout the 90 minute show. The lights, sounds and stage were immersive. I felt both close to action, but with enough perspective to see the whole stage. When leaving I felt bad that I couldnt talk in the lobby because there were other shows going on, but I wasnt disturbed at all by outside noise.

Looking for something fun and different to do in the city ... look no further. Ive seen the show twice now and Joe Diamond and David Parr keeps things fresh changing up their selection of tricks every few months. The show is roughly 90 minutes and family friendly. Its not a kiddie magic show ... and geared more for an adult audience.Overall its a fun, interactive show that will leave you scratching your head in disbelief. I urge you to make your way to the Greenhouse Theater to experience magic live ... as it should be. Highly recommended!

Fine spot for Chicago theatre from companies like Remy Bumppo (always worthwhile), American Blues Theatre, IMPAACT, and so on. Four theatres: two upstairs, two downstairs, two with first come, first served seating, two with seats selected online or at assigned at box office. The bar offers beer in bottles and cans, plus candy. No drafts, no food of substance. The upstairs area offers a great selection of good plays you can browse or purchase at the box office. Easy access from the Fullerton Red Line stop, 11 Lincoln Bus, 8 Halsted Bus, 22 Clark Bus, or 36 Broadway Bus.

The Greenhouse Theater Center is as an “incubator” for small to mid-size theater companies and it is totally worth checking out for fringe/out of the loop theater.I was here for El Stories its a cool production based on real experiences of CTA commuters, hilarious! We all have those CTA moments and they do a great job making them funny, since they are usually pretty annoying/stressful when you are living through them or running late for work.
