A very intimate theater setting inside of the Edgewater Presbyterian Church building. Being small and intimate means there are not a lot of frills here but it also means there isnt a bad seat in the house. The City Lit Theatre Company, based on information they shared verbally and in their program, has a four production season. We saw The Hound of the Baskervilles and found the actors to be quite good. The performance was well done and enjoyable. Parking is sparse in the area. I understand valet parking is available at a restaurant across the street but we found free street parking a couple of blocks away and were able to see just a bit of the neighborhood on our short walk.

Unimaginably hidden acting talent gems- they know how to cast, at the very least.

The current production about Barbara Jordan was a fantastic performance on a hotly relevant topic.

The theatre itself is very nice. A small and intimate thrust stage with comfortable seating. The down side is that the walls are very thin and you can hear the streets outside and the bathrooms are sort of run down. Great show though, I enjoyed the performance greatly.

Elevator was out of order. The seats were small and too close together and just all around uncomfortable

Intimate location where you absolute cant miss anything happening because there isnt a bad seat in the house. We saw The Picture of Dorian Gray and it was a great rendition. They even sell snacks which feels almost sneaky since you definitely walk into a church. Check it out.

Really enjoyed the play The Sundial. The cast was small but had charisma. Small refreshment table during intermission with a price of $2 each for snacks or coffee. It is a little tricky to find as it is inside a church on the second floor.

Its a quaint little performance space but well positioned so that wherever youre sitting you have a great view of the stage and performers. The historic Edgwater Presbyterian Church that the theater is housed in is just a sight. It has all of its original fixtures which kind of takes you back in time when you visit. I just love it.

The theater is on the 2nd floor of a church building (I felt like I was back in Catholic grammar school--kind of funny). The theater space is intimate, but not super small, and the sight lines are quite good. Ive seen two shows here and loved them both.

Just saw J. B. here. Very well done, professional show. The space is great and the mission of the theater is admirable. It’s very easy to get to on public transportation.

I love this theater. I believe that made many good changes. It looks like the management is much better. I went back after a bad experience that I had about a year ago. My friend and I purchased some tickets. We could not make it so we called and asked to talk to a manager. The manager was rude and unprofessional (I believe that her name was Joan Mazzonelli or something). I have never seen this level of bad customer service and incompetency. Since then, I never went back until few months ago, after knowing that, luckily, she was gone.Great theater!

Havent seen the show but they were practicing at the church where I was staying for a mission trip. Director and some cast members were incredibly rude to us. We were walking around taking a tour andwhen we got to the shower area (which connected to a dressing room) one of the cast members slammed the door in our face. The director was very particular about when we could shower (aka late at night, even though we could get to the showers without cutting through the gym/practice area), even though he could have just asked us to be quiet. When the whole group was gathered in the sanctuary to meet, the director would slowly walk through the room on the balcony every 10 minutes or so, watching us. They made us feel rather unwelcome. I understand that we are sharing a space, but my group was perfectly capable of being respectful of them. They should have asked politely instead of bossing us around.
