If you love wine, this is the place to go!! My girls and I had a meet up planned here. Great location in downtown LA with a big area to seat large groups. The ambience is perfect as its slightly dim and cozy. Slightly on the expensive side but its worth a try! Their service is great.

Absolutely love this place. I chose to come here instead of a club for my birthday this year. Im so happy I made that decision because it was so nice, elegant, and perfect wine environment to have an actual conversation.

Promo to watch the bears game but the t.v.s have no sound!! Food menu bland pizza and salad only. $10 a beer...go elsewhere. Who watches sports and cant make noise due to Covid? Makes no sense

Huge age discrimination here- don’t bother if you are over 35, all the hosts, waiters, and bartenders will look you dead in the eye and ignore you because your group is not young and hip enough. There are soo many beautiful rooftop bars in this city with way better views, drinks, and service than thewit.

Held a private party and awards event taking over the Roof on theWit and the team were excellent in both preparation and execution. The bar is on the 26th floor and has great views over the city at sunset. Food was excellent and plentiful.

This is definitely a hidden gem in Chicago. Located right in the heart of it all (very close to Millenium Park) the Roof is at the top of the luxurious the Wit hotel. It is amazing to go at night because not only does it have great views of the city but is open air! I was blown away and has a great vibe and wasn’t even busy! (Weekday nighttime)

Wonderful rooftop bar with great service. They have a small, but amazing outdoor space with a handful of tables and a ledge to sit at. Feels great on an August night. Good night views!Wide variety of drinks, but could have more, in my opinion. Limited food menu available after 11pm. Outdoor closes at midnight on Wednesday nights. Overall, a wonderful experience. Some people may find the place a bit small. The indoor area is dark and music is playing, which makes talking a bit difficult. Would go back and is recommended by me.

This past weekend, my girlfriends and I stayed at the Wit. We went to the Roof for appetizers and cocktails. This place was AMAZING! The atmosphere, staff, music...it all was such a great place to celebrate my friends birthday. I would recommend going here whether it’s with a group or one other person. Couldn’t rave about it more!

A great fun place to have a top notch drink. The drink menu has a lot of life and pizzaz! Truly enjoyed the calm before the party. Arial was attentative and flawless in service. Highly recommend for a stop in for a pre dinner drink or night cap.

Overpriced rooftop bar with hardly any view. Food was ok. Staff was friendly. I liked the screens that displayed dynamic art but when we wanted to film it the manager told us we were not allowed although others were shooting away with their phone cameras. Youd have to get approval from their marketing department. Please. Will not go back there again, wont recommend it to anyone either

We spent 100 usd in this bar on Friday night and came back on Saturday night only to be told we werent good enough to come in. Was it our age? My sister and I are 50 and our daughters are 22. We were dressed nicely. Or was it because my brother wasnt with us this time? Just want to warn others of the random discrimination here even when the bar is almost empty

FRONT DESK WORKERS WERE HORRIBLE. So rude to me. Usually the only point of contact between the person staying at the hotel and the hotel itself is the receptionist. And both I dealt with were horrible. So rude. So mean. Not helpful at all. If your a hotel receptionist your attitude should be on point every day all day. Your basically the front line for the experience. Absolutely aggravating with the way they treated me.

A hot spot in the city! .. I love their live music and also the waitresses are super kind and on top of everything. they have great service.. I recommend bringing your friends here! weekday or weekend!

My first time here we had a wonderful night (April 2015). In March 2019 they tried to charge my guest $100. I sat and watched to see if they were doing it to other guests and they WERE NOT. I FELT so much discrimination from the guy that was in charge that night. I will never go here again!

As the name says, this is a rooftop bar is located on the 27th floor of theWit hotel. As it is located on the top floor, one can enjoy views of Chicagos skyline. Nice decor and good music. Although, prices can bite. Nevertheless, I had an overall good experience and would definitely come back.

I will say that the atmosphere is definitely great here. However, the main bar is not the easiest place to get a drink from. All the tables are reserved so good luck getting a seat and the change over from the restaurant to the nightclub seemed to lack a difference. Go for the drinks not to party.

The place looks beautiful and boogie, so bring your best suit look fly and save a ton of money before going. If your rich or got a plug in then go by all means, but not for regular visits on a minimum wage salary. Women here are Instagram model status, but again way too spoiled for most. The establishment is kind and really professional so no worries on that front. Depending on your taste you may have a great time dancing and seeing the view, or a bad one because it aint a life style your use too.

The atmosphere is super cool and the drinks were strong but our server was not the least bit good. Im not too hard on people in regards to this because Ive been there...but we asked for extra limes in our drinks and didnt receive any. Nor did we get straws in our mixed drinks. I had to go to the bar to get them myself. We were hungry and wanted food but was never asked if we would like to order and by the time she came back around we had to get going. The bartenders were great the first time we were there and werent seated and just hung around the bar. Would go back but would not get table.

We enjoyed the Roof. Food was good, we had a selection of small plates. We found the portions generous. Our server was very friendly and attentive. In fact all of the staff were pleasant. Views are excellent. Really enjoyed our time.

The staff was very patient with our group , heading from the burbs to the city was brutal.We were there to celebrate a birthday for dinner and ended up staying for the entertainment.We ordered Venezuelan rice with chicken and chorizo. The small skillet is good enough for 4 ppl. We also had cucumber salad good enough for 2/3 ppl and the potatoes with an incredible sauce serving 2-3 pplDrinks were The daiquiri formerly known as prince and the frozen lemonade.Desert was a blueberry crumb cake good enough for two. It was delicious and good enough for 2. The blueberry sauce mixed with a creamy peanut butter whip on the side was the perfect ending.We stayed and danced away. The DJs were awesome and entertainment included a Bruno mars impersonator. So much fun.Our waitress went from 4 stars to 2 by the end of the night we went from her being very attentive ,to then forgetting drinks ,adding things to our bill. But they fixed it right away and had it handled within minutes.There is a lot of security probably due to the amount of bachelorette parties there. The security was attentive and really did a great job. They handled themselves very professionally.Cute set up ,photo booth, entertainment,dinner ,dancing ...what more can you ask for. We were lucky to enjoy dinner with the roof top open.Thank you again ...highly recommended!

Worst bartender ever. With a couple of friends, we arrived at the bar at 6.50pm, the happy hours menus were still hanging on the bar, we grabbed them and decided what we want. Although we were right in front of him and next in line, the bartender completely ignored us and served first two other groups of people that arrived after us and were completely on the side. He took our orders around 7pm and was slow to serve us. When he handed us the checks, the amount did not include the happy hour discount. We asked the waiter why: Sorry folks, it is 7.10pm, happy hour is over. Although I protested and explained him he took other orders first by mistake, and that we should have had the discounts, he told us he couldnt do anything. First time in my life I left a $0 tip. I will never go back to a place which cautions this type of behavior and discriminates foreigners.* Update from 1 star to 3 stars *The management of the ROOF reached out to me, and offered an appology. I appreciate the gesture, hence the upgraded rating.

Amazing bar, great environment. Unlike anywhere else in Chicago. Two separate bars, lounging areas. Great service. TVs showed physcadelic, amorphic designs along with the music. Would recommend.

Extremely disappointed in how myself and my party was treated!I booked a room at the hotel, called prior too to asked about admission policies for the rooftop bar. I was told on multiple occasions by rooftop staff, bar is open to public, no reservation required and was told what the dress code was. Arriving after checking into our room we were denied entrance into the bar. We were told that a reservation for a party of 7 was required. We are strictly going to the bar not having dinner nor asking for a table or special seating or services. TOTAL DISCRIMINATION! I am not the person to ever yell this first! Again, my husband myself and our friends are all professionals. As I stood off to the side I asked everyone in line if they had a reservation, how many in their group and if the had rooms at the hotel and just as expected NONE DID. There was a bachelorette party of NINE! Not African American that was let in no questions! I am writing to corporate, Hilton and whomever else I can think of!

Food expensive with small portions. The sharable portions are not very sharable. The chef however is out standing. The scallops and the buttermilk fried chicken we a hit

African Americans, if your looking to get discriminated against, this is the perfect spot for you! Never again. I was a guest staying at this hotel for one night only in celebration of my birthday. I went to a booze cruise near navy pier and decided to go to the rooftop before I went up to my room. I was turned away because the was a “private party”. Then because of a “dress code” I clearly exceeded. Meanwhile a young group of girls wearing dirty chuck taylors behind me we let up without hesitation. Also because I didn’t have reservations and there was. So many different reasons as to why I couldn’t go up. After the treatment received I no longer cared to go up to the rooftop or stay at the hotel. I checked out and never plan to check in again.

I gave one star only because thats the only way I could leave this review. I had an event at the Wit this past Saturday and was suppose to celebrate at the rooftop that evening after my event, well that didnt happen. Before planning my event I made a reservation at the hotel for the rooftop and asked if guest at the hotel would be able to attend the roof and not be apart of my reservation if they wanted to, which I was told they could at a fee for men and another fee for women. I spent a nice amount on my wedding anniversary there and a room block of about 20 rooms. So I brought in a nice amount to this establishment. When the manager of the roof notice how many people were trying to attend the rooftop from my party, mind you these were guest of the hotel, I was told they would have to be added to my reservation at a rate of $75 per person, even though a worker told them they wouldnt have to pay because they were guest and it was based on first come first served but standing room only. The manager and the district manager have terrible customer service and attitudes. The manager told me that he couldnt accommodate more than 30 of my guest because he had a brand to protect and elite clientele. Im not sure what you would be protecting, maybe too many African Americans in your roof top! I definitely didnt want to celebrate and provide anymore money to this establishment so I didnt attend the roof top that evening! I even reached out to the email that the person who responds to these emails here on yelp sent before writing this review and never got a response. When I contacted the district manager Ryan Kingston, he was just as rude as the manager of the roof Blaire was and very condescending. He wanted to explain to me how this rooftop is one of the best and the awards theyve won, which doesnt matter at all if you cant have customer service friendly people welcoming everyone who walks through those doors. Go somewhere where youll be treated nicely and not like you owe them something to be in their presence. We as a people need to stop giving establishments like this our hard earned money and let them stick to their elite clientele and people who are accepted by their brand and the district manager stated there was nothing wrong with those comments stated! There are other rooftops go some place else!

I’m not sure why this bar getting so bad. Tasteless drinks , not even worth a try . Such as nice location and the roof , but not a good service and drinks. Will not come back and not recommend .

Nice atmosphere and view. Only went for happy hour drinks not late night, but very enjoyable venue.

Pricey, but our hostess/waitress was great. She was very friendly and knowledgable about the menu items. It is on the 27th floor and the views of the city were gorgeous.

This is a great place for young professionals and happy hour. Awesome views of the city. Cocktails are great (and over priced if you are not accustomed to the prices of city living). They serve food, but it is small plates or tapas style. In the late evening it is definitely more of a club vibe and you may have to wait in line to enter.

I love going to roof top bars so, needless to say I’ve been to quite a few. The Roof on theWit has been one of the best I’ve been to. Very classy, breath taking view, and it has a great atmosphere. The Staff is very intuitive, fun, and ridiculously hospitable. If you go, ask for Boris, awesome manager, really knows how to take care of his high-end customers.

Dont go here. There are seriously much better rooftop bars in the area like Cindys or London House. Recently went here with a wedding party. Ended up being charged over $250 for two drinks for a receipt I never signed for. Management has been unhelpful, negligent, and quite frankly dishonest regarding these charges. Dont waste your time with a place that doesnt value customer service.

The entire place is indoor, and there wasnt much of a view. The drinks were decent.Id recommend London House for a better rooftop, and its walking distance from here.
