Not going to lie, I was a little hesitant to go because of all the bad reviews, but like everyone else I still went. First of all, bouncers outside were okay, but security inside was super nice. Once we went inside it was super packed and my friend and I didn’t know where to go. Once we found a spot the music was great and everyone was having a good time. Overall it was a good place to go dance. However, I’m giving this place 3 stars because the blonde female bartender was super rude. It was like she didn’t want to give my friend and I drinks. Mind you we were very respectful. The thing that really made me upset was when she was pouring the beer into the cup and she spilled it all on my friend’s hand. She didn’t even say sorry, or replaced the beer, or nothing! Her attitude was also very bad and this really ruined the night. They need to talk to their bartenders, if working in an environment like that makes them mad then look for something else to do!

Avoid this low class club! The promoter lady is rude and thinks she is the queen of this club. She won’t let you in unless you have the password and subscription number. The club promotes ladies free all night! That’s a lie! She is a low class girl herself and the management is the worse. You are better off going to a different club. Please don’t waste your money coming here! They will eventually close down! You are better off going to River north.

This place is always lit! Drinks are a bit pricey, but good. Cover is usually $20, but if you text the number on their website, you might be able to get in for free. Dress to impress!

I paid to spend new years eve there. I arrived 1 hour before 12am, and they had a huge line. Around 300 people waiting in line. I waited for 45 minutes. The line barely move 2 meters. Their security guards must be the slowest in the planet on top of already having fame of being rude. Even if I had arrived 2 hours earlier I still wouldnt have made it to the door. I had to leave and wasted my money.

Didn’t get let in because we were dropped off by a party bus, security didn’t give us much explanation to as of why. We had a reservation for a table and a bottle but they didn’t care very unprofessional.

Went to this club to have a good time i used their valet service to park my car . When im about to leave they bring my car with a big scratch on the front bumper!!!!! Now the valet are not trying to take responsibility for that! Been trying to call the valet # and they just don’t respond ! Make sure you take pictures of your car before you use their valet service!

First we reserved 2 booths in the vip orders 6 bottles spent over $2k . The service we received was awful, let’s start with the security, very rude from the reception stand all the way through to the vip and especially the bathroom security ,Very rude . We weren’t allowed outside to smoke cigarettes, We all had to wait over 4 hours before they let us out to smoke. I will say the bathroom attendants were very nice and should train all the staff on how to treat and talk to customers. VIP security was nice but at times let anyone into the vip section we had drunk random people sitting in are sections and waitresses taking full glasses of alcohol off the table. We had people spilling there drinks over the divider wall and spilling all over are guests. Just a very bad experience for us all. We definitely will not be returning.

Not sure why people leave negative comments but do not I repeat do not believe them!! I had my birthday party there and everyone had a blast. Everyone asked me what is this place because they love it!!! I worked with Melissa to plan the party and she was amazing! She even offered me to text her the pictures of the outfits to ensure my guests and I will follow the dress code. Not that’s the customer service that is going above and beyond! I will definitely return very soon!

What is the point of making a reservation???? I am willing to pay money at this place and my guests still have to wait in a line that may take an hour- two hours???? What is point of a reservation...... this place disappointed me for my bday. 6of my guests went home bc these pol would not let them in. They had to wait in line in order to get in my reservation.. ridiculous.

If I could give this club zero stars I would. Went out with my friend for her birthday and the bouncers at the door were very rude wouldn’t even let us in. They claimed we came on a party bus which we did not and they kicked us out of the line. Mind you we were standing in line for a very long time and it was freezing outside. Positives: Great music, live DJ, great ambiance, great place to take a date,Negatives:Some bartenders will tell you the price , some wont. If you decide to pay with your card you will be paying 13 dollars per drink. Some bartenders will tell you that its 10 per drink if you pay cash.

The DJ was really good. However, the door host on the night of 1/3 was really rude and had an attitude as soon as we walked in. Won’t be going there again

First off the womens bathrooms only have about 6 stalls , and of course there is going to be a long line..the music to my taste wasnt what i expected .the DJ kept repeating the same songs. the place gets extremely crowded and there is barely any room to dance or pass through also one of my friends wanted to go outside and when she wanted to go back inside we had to wait 30 min in line again!? they wouldnt let us back in right away. according to the bouncer!? what kind of club doesnt let you in and out?

Last year my phone got stolen from my purse. I stopped going there for some time. Last night I decided to go again...my phone was stolen AGAIN. It’s crazy! I’ve been to other bars, clubs and this never happens.I think securities should check out the people who just stands there in the middle of the dance floor. It’s creepy & I can be sure they’re the one doing this.

Decent club, dj was playing decent music as well that was never boring. Would definitely return with the guys. Only comment for improvement would be cleaning spills from the floor which i understand can be hard to control. Nothing that would prevent me from returning.

I have been coming to this club for a couple of years and its always a great time! Booked a couple parties with Melissa and she was extremely helpful and made the pre-planning super easy. The music is a mix of different genres and always puts me on the dance floor. Great security, as a woman youre never sure of certain places but this place gets my 5 star all the way!

GRIMEY PLACE!! DO NOT BOOK A VIP PARTY HERE!! Spent 1k+ on 3 bottles in the main room. We werent done with our bottles and the employees decided it was ok to clear our table for other ppl to use the table we reserved !!! since we werent getting more than 3. Its all about money scheme here. It wouldve never crossed my mind for this to happen , if we were told that we had to keep buying $360 bottles all night, I wouldve never spent my money here and went elsewhere.Not only did they give away our table when most of my people were in the bathroom but when I spoke up about it calmly to the security, he led me to believe I was being placed in the red room at another table instead he walked me outside and kicked me out. No apologies, no nothing!!!!Super unprofessional. Id really like to speak to management about this incident. I feel robbed!!

Had a blast! My hospitality friends and I went on a Friday and were so impressed! The door people and security were super nice and let us in complimentary with our industry ID. We all had a very long week and needed to let some steam off, and boy, did we. :) The drinks were delicious, the music was dope and the crowd was so much fun. Absolutely no drama, which is way different than what Transit was. Lol Thank you all for such an amazing time! Going back tomorrow, just waiting on my text for the party I booked. We had a fantastic time! We came from a family party and we were not in dress code. As an African American , I have had this issue many times. I told the front door security that my friend and I served in the military . They said” anyone who serves their country gets a pass” . Very classy .

This place is by far one of the best my clubs in the city of Chicago. I had my birthday party over there and it was by far the best setup I have ever experienced. The music was perfect the crowd was perfect the atmosphere was perfect. Definitely recommend bottle service it was an amazing set up. Definitely go check out Tommy he make some killer drinks. If you run into any issues as for Melissa she is the manager there and she can make anything happen. My favorite place to be after a long week. The ambiance is amazing , the staff are very friendly and helpful, and great bartenders, the drinks are always delicious. The best place for a good night, all kind of crowded and they close very late. I have been coming here for over 10 years and every time is wonderful. I had called a day before for the free birthday package you guys do. I’ve never been there before so I didn’t wanna do the big package right away over the phone.The girl said we would have a table to however many people I had, I brought 4 with me. The table she gave me only had two chairs. If I needed to pay for a bigger table so everyone can sit I would of done so, but it was never mentioned over the phone. Supposedly a happy birthday banner a confetti thing was suppose to happen for the celebrant that didn’t happen I was told a bottle of champagne was going to be given not just 4 little cups served.The club had the same songs playing over like the dj didn’t know what else to play??One time experience and never again.

I was very excited to try this place for the first time but we had to many mishaps for me to give this place higher then two stars.issue number 1: We reserved a table for our birthday friend and received a text message saying we would get in for free. We showed the text message to the front desk lady and she said no that it doesn’t apply because we did not buy a bottle. Okay that would of been perfectly fine if they would of told us that which they didn’t (I still have the text messages) we decided to show the rest of the text messages that say we still get in for free before 11:30, she said nope it still doesn’t apply because it’s Halloween. that also would of been fine IF the text messages mentioned that, but they literally said free this weekend. Most definitely false advertising.Issue number 3: this place has three rooms, was at mass capacity (could barely walk around) and they only had one bathroom. Most clubs have at least two.Issue number 4: glass bottles dropped on the floor and people were stepping on them. We tried to go to the bar to warn someone but as mentioned before we could barely walk anywhere because they were at mass capacity, it took us about 20 minutes to get to anyone and by then they were busy taking orders so we figured (prayed) someone took care of it.Of course as someone who works in the entertainment industry, I understand that some things are inevitable. Such as overcrowding, delay in drink service, and full bathroomS. But some things cannot be overlooked.Some things we did like: the music! They pretty much played the same type of music in every room, but the music was still good so it didn’t even matter. The place is also gorgeous inside.Thank you.

I would give this place zero stars. Old lady at the front did not want to let me in even though I had the text message saying ladies were free all night. She did, however, let the two girls in front of me go in with a screenshot which Im pretty sure isnt allowed. Ruined Halloween this year. Never going here again.

From reading reviews and from personal experience, Im able to say that they play favoritism, mainly based on race and looks, with customers.Ive personally never had issues with the bouncers. The lady which charges cover always has an attitude (would recommend signing up for texts to get free or reduced entrance). And the bartenders charge inconsistently.The inside is pretty nice. It gets crowded at times but theres plenty of rooms to check out and the music is pretty good. Best Latin music Ive found in Chicago.

Place is awesome! The staff and bartenders are so cool! and I love dancing to all the music they place which a little taste of everything! They have a really cool manager by the name of Johnny Ace which helped me and my ladies get in with no problems! He looked so cool. Ima have to come here maybe every other week. I dont know why people complain about dress code. Dress to impress is what I say! no one wants to see gyms shoes in the club! we see enough of that in the street! so im all for dress code! You go bouncers!

My friends and I went the the club on Friday for the Casper show!!! It was a great concert venue. The sound and lights were awesome ! The artist was really cool! He stayed and signed a bunch of autographs!!! Great time!

Worst place ever paid a grand for a VIP table bought 3 bottles only for some random dudes to come and sit at our table. When we complained we got kicked out what’s the point in paying for a service if your not gonna get it the entire night. Will defiantly not be going back. Spend your money somewhere else there are plenty of clubs out there!

The venue inside is pretty nice. There are 3 dance rooms at the Main floor was pretty packed. They were strict at checking bags and using the metal detector. The floor has a few holes but other than that it was ok.

My first night last night! All workers were friendly to me and my friends. Good music, large space! will go back!

How sad is it that you go out with your Spanish friends to the mines and they let them in but tell you you can’t get in because of what??? You’re black. Very disappointed at this place it’s 2017. If the managers of this place don’t want black people coming there please put it on your flyers so that people don’t drive out there. On the record my 3 friends from the same group couldn’t get in but the other two who happen to be Hispanic were allowed to enter and this was our first time there being that we love Latin songs. It’s disheartening and a disgrace. Ruined the whole night for my Hispanic friends since they invited us because of the embarrassment. Chicago is a very diverse place for this sort of nonsense to happen.

I normally do not write reviews, but I wanted to write one regarding my experience at The Mine this past weekend. Last weekend was our first time at The Mine. We came all the was from Wisconsin to celebrate my sisters birthday. I dont usually frequent clubs, I am more of a bar guy, but I have to say, they do a great job at this place! I set up table service with Melissa, their Operations Director. It was my sisters 25th birthday so I wanted to make it special. I must have called this venue 10 times in the days prior to our party to make sure everything was set. They did an AMAZING job! They brought us everything from cupcakes to confetti to personal party signs. They also took pictures at the table and FRAMED THEM IN THE SPOT, so we could take them home!! the table was decorated just the way we wanted it .This club is really really busy...... how these people pulled all that off for a birthday party , I will never know, but my whole party was impressed! They didnt let us in because there was too many of us. WHEN WE RESERVED FOR 30 PEOPLE. Dont ever come here. The bouncers pushing you and even dis respecting you. The so called officer who had no badge or was even armed trying to threaten us HAHAHA just as fake as the owners and cordinators.

This place was very very VERY unprofessional with HORRIBLE costumer service. We were told we could have unlimited amount of people upon making VIP reservations, but when we arrived, the “bouncers” wouldn’t even let us in because they didn’t allow big parties at VIP. We asked if we could just go in like everyone else and skip VIP, but even then they wouldn’t let us in because we were already “rowdy”. Well I’m sorry, but when you have a reservation and you’re not even apologetic or professional about how you say “No” to your costumers, they’re going to get rowdy.** In responde to your feedback : if your front door men would have been polite and offered good costumer service, our party wouldn’t have been upset about anything. The point of a reservation is to advise and confirm with the business that you would have a spot for us. If you would have been honest and told us you couldn’t accommodate a big party, we wouldn’t have even considered to go there. I was the one that presented our party with the doormen and I was not intoxicated, billigerent or violent by any means and they were very dry and rude from the get go. Again, if your door men would have handled the situation better being that it was a mistake on your end, none of that would have happened. We went to a different club and caused no problems, no safety concerns & were a threat to no one. Teach your employees the golden rule & im sure you wouldn’t have these problems.

I like the place went last week and it was a good time, got questions tho. Blatantly racist bouncer who made myself and a group of other black girls stand outside in freezing temperatures due to us not “having a reservation”, while letting several other Latinas go through who did not have this imaginary reservation. I was not let in until the group of black girls in front of me left. I would not expect that in 2018 employees of The Mine would go to such lengths to lie, stereotype, and limit the demographics of PAYING people they let into a night club. An awful experience and will be taking further action.

Booked a table for my birthday was told I have free entry for my guest, I arrive and get charged $20 for being a male even doe I was buying 5 bottles and bringing over 15 people in, get inside and find out every single male in my party was charged and the person charging isn’t even linked to the club never again hosting a party at this location

What happened to transit?? I loveddd that they had hip hop reggeaton Banda bachata Cumbia etc....I went on a Sunday for (Memorial Day weekend)... it wasn’t like it use to be. There was only 2 rooms... * Banda & reggeaton* idk what happened to the top dance floor (they had it closed)... I felt like there was nothing but old people there lmfao... idk I guess I’m gunna have to give it a try on a Friday or Saturday. As of right now I’m kind of ehhh about it and I miss transit Update: it was definitely because I went on a Sunday lol.... went on Saturday and it was “LIT” haha.

I personally never like to write bad reviews as I used to be in the industry myself, but I cant believe the customer service that I received. I came out for a friends birthday and all the service inside the club was great so I dont want to harp on them. What ruined my night was that door/stamp man (mid 50s Caucasian male with a mustache), bouncer (Hispanic male in his 20s), and another security guard (mid 50s african american male) checking ids scammed me into paying double for admission. I had my had stamped and went to go smoke periodically. At approximately 130 in the morning before the time change they all of the sudden didnt remember seeing me and told me that my hand stamp was from another club. I wasnt confrontational trying to explain myself when I was aggressively told me to pay or get out. I paid the admission woman for the 2nd time and went to go get my friends. On my way out I had my hand stamped on the opposite hand and wouldnt you know it was the exact same stamp. Dont waste your time here people. I was the designated driver so I can only imagine how many drunk people they scam. I even took pictures for proof

Racist and lacks of good management. The manager named Melissa confronted us as we were walking out, asked if we had a problem and called us immigrants because we’re Hispanic. She prohibited us from leaving the building and called the cops. If I could rate zero stars I would. Totally unprofessional of the manager to scream at us both at the exit and outside across the street of the venue. I don’t recomend this place.

By far the coolest nightlife spot to take friends in the city! With a wide verity of great music and 3diffrent rooms you cant really go wrong here . The staff is extra generous abd really watches for everyones safety starting from the enterance. Love this new place !

Dont bother making VIP Reservations, you will be told it is for unlimited people and once you show up they will not let your party come in because it is too big for VIP. Too many discrepancies between the bouncers & the reservation coordinators. Bottom line: waste of time.

This club is really horrible and downright racist if I may say.First of all I booked a party with Melissa who am guessing is the party planner and I spoke to her 2 days prior to confirm the reservation only to get there and find out our party wasn’t booked.Then secondly the bouncers or security were very rude and unprofessional.They kept saying no flats but they let in people of other races..not African American in with gym shoes and open toed sandals and flats when they wouldn’t let me and my party in because we weren’t dressed according to the dress code on their stupid website.Its a horrible place and I would advice people to take their business elsewhere.And since the owner has a dumb ass response,my party made another reservation under the name Vanessa for 15 guests and when I spoke to Melissa days prior she said we were good to go but couldn’t get in under that name.
