They are strict about their center VIP center. Which is great for the VIP members, annoying for the rest of the peasants considering it is truly in the middle of the room. The music was quick circulating pop songs.

Couldnt even get in. Bouncers were extremely rude and didnt want to listen to anyone unless we had cash to give them. The entire parking lot was completely covered in ice. Many people fell because of this and they did not care. Dont recommend!

Me and my friends planned our night with a promoter. We were promised a night of fun which turned I to by far one of the worst and disrespectful nights of my life. Due to Uber restrictions me and my party of 8 had to split into two separate rides. My first group of friends got in without any questions asked. Not even requesting ID. They were all light skinned women. We arrive 5 minutes later to join them and were told no at first they’re not accepting anymore guests for the night. Then, we watch a group of Caucasian women enter. Then another large group of light skinned women. So we ask again, why aren’t we able to join the rest of our party that’s already inside. The man in management whispers in the bouncers ear and then he tells us sorry ladies the club just isn’t for y’all tonight. As our friend walked out on the deck smoking area to see what was going on, we told her. And a bouncer that wasn’t involved confirmed our thoughts. He told us we look nice and are pretty but that’s just how things are here with management.

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU’RE AA! I visited this club for the first time last night and ended up having a terrible night. We had a group of both females and males. My friend knew a promoter in the club, so we were able to get in easily. The guys had to pay $20 each to get in, and were also told that they would have to pay more money to get into the section. Everyone was cool with paying, and we actually were having a great night. It was almost closing time, when the male bouncers came to the section and demanded that my male friends leave. They were told that they didn’t have wristbands, so they couldn’t be in the section. My friends tried telling the bouncers that they paid to get into the section, and one of the bouncers reported that the owner was racist, and they would just need to step out for about 5mins. Then, they would be able to get back in. Being confused about the whole situation, I decided to try speaking with one of the bouncers. He shrugged me off, not wanting to talk so I was speaking with another bouncer. While speaking with him, the initial bouncer pushes me to the side, and says that I’m in the way of others getting into the section. An alteration occurred, which forced us out of the club, but not before getting our money back. THIS CLUB IS NOT FRIENDLY TO AAs. Pls take your money elsewhere

The worst club in Chicago.... wow I’ve heard bad thing about it but they surprised me how bad it was. The body guards and bartenders are worst I’ve ever seen. The vibe is so slow and lame its really bad. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Our COLLEGE rented out this bar for formal and it’s been 60 minutes and they haven’t let us in!!! It’s an 18+ event so there’s LITERALLY no reason to be turned away. All of the girls are in dresses. This is a terrible business, I will NEVER support them again by coming to their events. DO NOT COME HERE. They are ridiculous and so disrespectful and this is insane.

This place is RACIST! my friend was with a group of AA women, all different beautiful shades. unfortunately, they had to arrive in two different ubers causing them to arrive 5 minutes apart. the first group, which consisted of lighter shades of AA women were let into the club with no questions, ID’s weren’t even requested. However, once my friend arrived with her group, consisting of darker AA women, they were told they reached capacity. shortly after, a group of caucasian women were let in. my friend approached the bouncer & was still not allowed in. a few minutes later, a bouncer (who was not present when they arrived) confirmed her suspicion. the other half of her group was not allowed in because they did not pass the “paper bag test” completely inappropriate & straight up wrong. this is NOT their first incident of racism, colorism & discrimination.

The worst club where I have ever been! Never go there again. Rude staff and security are super rude and aggressive to the customer. Please, don’t go there, cause you will be very disappointed. Smells weed everywhere you even can’t breathe there! I don’t recommend this place and I will NEVER ever go there !

Got attacked on public property several fronts down from the club by 6 bouncers. A friend subdued the attack and as it de-escalated, the bouncers attacked me again. I was handcuffed by a security guard in the parking lot behind the club as well. As my friend recorded the entire incident and walked on the sidewalk next to the lot 3 bouncers approached him saying to get off the (public) property. Judging by other reviews the bouncers/security team are obviously an issue with this business. The Assistant GM I believe, as well as the GM himself (if they correctly identified themselves) did nothing to defuse an hour long situation. Absolute joke of a club.

I went to Chicago for the first time this weekend for LOLAPALOOZA and Cuvee was our last stop of the night! Everything was perfect! I liked this place because it was very upscale and stays open late. All the waitresses were super friendly and provided exceptional service. We had a nice VIP table and had an amazing time! The girls who came with me can’t stop talking about how much fun they had! I can’t wait to return and this is a place you don’t want to miss!

We partied so hard I dont remember. A bit crowded and prices a bit high, but hey its not your random located boring club. Reserved a table and the treatment we got from the staff was on point, with waiters coming in and out every few minutes checking if were doing ok and not short on anything.The music was good enough for a bunch of drunk guys to not feel too embarrassed to dance and the bouncers seemed chill. Overall very nice place

Its a nice looking club, with nice decor, lights, and decent music--they play a little bit of everything, rap, pop, house, merengue, salsa and mix it all up at times but its not nearly worth the 30 bucks/40 bucks they want to charge for entry. Security was rudely telling people not to stand in certain places which was quite harassing and one of the bartenders was obviously drunk or high on drugs, as she tried to snatch my credit card out of my hand without telling me what my drinks cost. My experience wasnt all bad, one bartender was polite and I saw one of the guys from Chicago ink in there. Overall it was ok.

Really nice bar. Good atmosphere. Really like the bottle service tables next to the DJ. Makes you feel you are getting a real bang for your buck. Would recommend this place for a good group night out. Drinks are good. Its a little dark and since its kinda a circle or octagon you get turned around sometimes. I like that there are multiple bars though.

Literally was turned away because there were “too many heavy people in the group.” We were willing to pay for bottle service and our promoter pulled us aside and said we weren’t able to go in because there were too many heavy people and that’s a part of the industry. Sickening I’ll never return.

Not my type of place. I’ve worked in the service industry off and on for many years and this place definitely discriminates...not only against people of color but against any female who isn’t a size 3. I am a Chicago Native and there are wayyyyy better spots with a more welcoming vibe to go to.

Came here to celebrate a birthday and got a private table with bottle service ($800 minimum) and the night started out great until the neighboring tables arrived. My friend was groped by multiple men while dancing and security did not care. One girl in our party got bumped in to and tripped over a table and we were immediately told we all had to leave. Coincidentally they had another group to take our table within minutes. To top it off we had just gotten another bottle of vodka costing roughly $300 that had not been touched and they refused to discount it from the tab. And anyone under 21 reading this, they dont ID so feel free to walk right in

My friends and I were turned away by the security guards because I didn’t fit the body size image that they had in mind and was also laughed at by the security guard after standing for 25 minutes outside. I will never go back to this establishment and hope that they get better service.

Tonight, myself and a party of individuals were turned away by this establishment. We were turned away because my sister is in a wheel chair and requires handicap accessibility to allow for her inclusivity. It was clear that the staff at this establishment were unwilling to ensure my sister was able to access the building and appeared unwilling to provide us with our necessary accommodations. They turned us away before our party was even able to enter the establishment. This is a clear ADA violation and unfortunately, both myself and the party who I was accompanied by were incredibly discouraged and offended by the way this situation was handled.

Great place! I guess everyone else who had complained probably didnt dress to impress enough. Not a place you wear jeans to unless theyre some seriously special jeans. The staff was nice and music was great! I went for the July 3rd event and it was truly unique. Great crowd too.

The service at this club is very poor. I ordered a drink from a bartender and was given the wrong the drink and when I went back to ask for the correct drink she posted water in my glass and said here you go! I will not be returning to this establishment again, they do not provide good customer service or promote an inclusive environment.

People give it a bad rep because they think the security is too much or rude/racist, they’re wrong. Been here a few times and I haven’t been turned away yet. The music and atmosphere is extravagant, it’s not a large club by any means, but it has that lounge feel to it, in addition to two bars. It’s pricey, why do you think they have all this security? As a person who goes to clubs/bars near river north nearly every weekend, I can say that this place is definitely one to consider, celebs come here often too!!

Very rude staff. They guys at entrance didnt let me get in, without any explanation. I was agree to pay cover, which they didnt take. I wasnt drunk, was absolutely sober, was not wearing gym shoes. You guys lost a customer, who wanted to spend time and money at your place. If there were an option to leave you zero stars, I would definitely do this!

As a native New Yorker I was not impressed at all by the promised exclusivity of this place. They offer really tight places, cheap champagne ridiculously overpriced (yes I know my champagne), and people wearing sneakers and jeans. Oh yeah and it was a total sausage fest.The music was not bad, I wouldve liked more variety- it was all house/lounge type. But people dont dance, not sure why (perhaps cause theres no space)-Got boring! It was such a hassle getting our drinks when we were doing bottle service, even though they had our ID and credit card they kept throwing us all these policies. We ended up getting drinks at the bar. Last but not least they couldnt find my friends credit card and ID and claimed that they gave it to us. After insisting a couple times that they had not, they looked and finally found it (cause customer is always right). No warm hospitality whatsoever, managers carry a very condescending attitude. Overall this was my first impression of the Chicago nightlife and its a two-thumbs down .

Having worked in the NYC club scene, I am very disappointed with my experience here. The bottle service girls were hospitable but the floor managers were rude and incompetent at their jobs. This place is only pretending to be exclusive and you can have a much better time somewhere else. I have never had a worse experience at a club. I wish that I could give zero stars.

One of the hottest spots in the city, and hands down, some of the best times I’ve had in the evening hours. Many speak to the rude nature of the staff, especially the ones running the door. My experiences portray the exact opposite, as the door staff is accommodating, the security detail friendly, and the bartenders quick and pleasant. The music played compliments perfectly the high end, ultra-lounge environment. The intimate atmosphere is what I look for in an evening venue, as sifting my way through thousands of people is not my idea of fun. The patrons are selected with caution, the exclusive vibe is very well maintained and best of all – it’s open till 5am

I’d give negative stars if I could.

Handsome experience to a good night club

We came from Nebraska for the Drake concert and Drake was making a special appearance here. I emailed and spoke on the phone with a manager named Lazar, the cover fee to get in was wayyyy to much but he told me he could help us with Electric Hotel Nightclub and he had added us to the guest list and to just mention his name upon arrival. I emailed him to confirm and assure that we were set, if not so I could look into other clubs and he assured we were okay. WELL we waited 45 minutes and when we mentioned we had spoken to Lazar and we were on the guest list we were in fact not. We asked what was the cover fee and wed just pay it and they werent even taking cover fee, you had to be on the guest list, not to mention the guy was a total douche bag. After calling and texting Lazar multiple times we ended up finding another club that let us in. Please do not waste your time. Horrible service and people that work here who dont do what they tell you they do.

The only black guy in our group got pinpointed and questioned because he had a hat in his back pocket. They asked him if he had a gun?!?! I stood up for him and got dragged out even though I asked to speak with a manager. The supposed manager we spoke to said he would look into it. Nothing was resolved. They have VERY racist security guards. I will have bruises on my arm from the security guard grabbing my arm. We are all in an MBA program. The security guard even yelled Spanish expletives at me and later denied them when others were around to witness. NEVER GO HERE!

Ok cuvee. I get that you are trying to be different, but back door entrance is for models and actors who want to not be seen. Since I have less stalkers and less paparazzi following me than they do, it seems really shady to come in from the back. I also thought I would be mugged. Not a fun way to start the evening I think.The place inside is chic- but I do think $4 for coat check is a little ridic. And yes, so is the massive amounts of security. 5 guys descreetly stationed around the club is cool. 10 makes me wonder whether the President is showing up.On to the good- 2 bars. WIN. Nice bartenders, who make good recommendations, and strong drinks when you ask for them. WIN. Great ambiance and clean, non weird restrooms. WIN. Drink specials on Friday night. WIN. I wouldnt whine about prices though, if you come here, you expect to shell out some money.

Too small really congested

Cuvee is a little further than the other clubs by Hubbard. The decor is nice, but the layout is awkward. The tables take up too much room in the middle and are isolated from the rest of the club. The bar area is too crowded.

This place is the absolute worst. Do not give them a dime of your money. The staff is rude and openly discriminatory towards potential customers. A reservation guarantees you nothing... You can still be turned away at their discretion. . The general manager is a real POS. There are more staff than customers. I wish it was possible to give less than one star because they dont even deserve that. Women of color especially, avoid at all costs. I have much more to say, but will leave it here for now.
