We went to 858 for my sisters birthday, got a table and bottle service. As soon as our servers came with the bottles a girl came fell on our table and knocked over our bottles empty. Very kindly we let our promoter know, he says ok, Ill be right back and never shows up. We reminded the bar a few times and they kept giving us the run around. At the end of the night when we went to ask about our bottles they had No idea what we were talking about. $400 for bottle service we didnt even get. Very scandalous unprofessional place. The bottles of vodka we got only cost about $60 in the store and youre selling them for more than double the price. If it hurts u that much financially to replace the bottles we very well shouldve gotten then you shouldnt be in business. I will never go there again nor will I recommend anyone go there. And may I add the girl that knocked over our bottles was sloppy trashed and never kicked out. If i could give a zero I would.

This place is a wanna be upscale night club. At least 3 out of the 4 stalls in the ladies room dont have toilet roll holders and your toilet paper is kept on the floor or the garbage can. The door of the stall I used wouldnt even lock to keep from opening. Then they have a bathroom attendant squirting soap into your hand and giving you a paper towel. How contradictory! Besides that, the place is small and overcrowded. I dont know about you, but I dont want to be so close to people that theyre bumping and grinding on me causing me to spill my drink. The only thing I liked about this place was the music. I will never go there again or recommend it to anyone. The staff was rude. Their promoters are full of crap as well.

The club had a very nice diversity thats what i liked best. Other then that they over taxed my boyfriend, he paid 780 for a VIP table we had 2 bottles and room for barely 4 people. Way over priced. I think the host pocketed some of the money. They played good music though.

Event ad stated free before 11. Drove 30 minutes to get there only to be told I needed a text to get in. No offer to make up for their poor communication. Possibly a trick to get people there under the assumption of not having a cover and hoping some will just pay because theyre already there. Maybe if it were a good club they wouldnt have to resort to these tactics.

I had a decent time. I didnt care for the music that was being played on the night that I went. The atmosphere was nice.

High priced low class clientele. Very trashy dingy atmosphere. Wouldnt take a date there what want to pick up any of the women I seen there. I found myself helping the dishwasher showed a little more professionalism than the rest of the staff. Taking in cash was more important to them than taking out the trash. Service horrible long waits drinks average at best. You have a better time drinking a bottle of Mad Dog on NE corner of Chicago then I had at this place.

Fun experience. There were a variety of cultures attending for the night & the DJ made sure to play music for everyone. Staff was very nice although, one bartender was rude. Security was great. one of them helped me get my drunk friend to the car safely. But the bathroom was super small there was one mirror in the corner that you could barely get to. The door to the bathroom was kept open giving women not much privacy. But I did enjoy the place and will be going back.

The staff is really rude, which is to be expected at a busy club, but still- Im the one who is handing off my money to have a good time with some friends. Plus for the crowd of people that they attract, its not worth being overcharged for drinks that are watered down. I thought this place had a tad bit classier atmosphere, but I was wrong. This will be my first and final time here. Youre better off getting better service at a local restaurant around that place!

But I had to chose something to post this.Staff is very disappointing!I came out to celebrate what was to be a fun filled night and I can definitely see that it no longer holds its standards... If your in for a disappointment go ahead and go.I surely will never come here again!!!!

First of all, if youre thinking about going out to enjoy your night for any occasion, 858 is NOT the place to go! The staff at the front door was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. At no point was costumer appreciation shown. The door men were blatantly disrespecting the people that chose 858 as the place to spend their time and money..... worst display of conflict management Ive ever seen and dealt with. Definitely never going back... this place doesnt even deserve one star.

This place was AWFUL. Do not have any sort of event here. Not only do they clearly WATER DOWN drinks, but they legitimately misled our group and broke the contract we signed. Staff was DISINTERESTED and management completely UNHELPFUL. I cannot emphasize enough that this experience could not have been more NEGATIVE.

If I had to rate this place I would give it a zero. My boyfriend and I went there for an event and paid cover charge. The bouncer turned away to talk to his coworker ,looked back at us then accused us of not paying and said that he gave us back the money. I requested to talk to the manager and he refused to help. I am disgraced by the professionalism of this club and they should not be in business. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money

The bouncers or door attendants, whichever you prefer, we’re complete asshats. Patted me down, which is fine, but then proceeded to take my flask and vape pen, which is also ok, I understand some places do not accept that, however, they took my flask, dumped it, then held onto it the entire night, what’s the point if I’m just getting it back later, right? When I came to get my flask, they wouldn’t give me my pen back and pushed me out the door, so now I’m filing a complaint with the local police station over theft. Get these wannabe asshats out of your front door if they can’t handle something as simple as handing your stuff back.

VERY disappointed in 8fifty8. I even attempted to contact management, along with the event organizer for their NYE celebration, and was ignored. I thought it would be helpful to those even considering purchasing any sort of event wristband with them to see exactly what I wrote to this bar, with no response for 8 days and 2 follow-up emails. I am so disappointed that we could not enjoy our New Years celebration.EMAIL:I wanted to reach out personally and share with your management team that I am beyond disappointed with this years NYE event at 8fifty8.To start, we purchased our tickets well in advance for the event, and got there prior to 9 so that we could make the most of what we were hoping would be an amazing time, and get in first. Once 9PM hit, we waited, in the freezing cold, for 35 minutes. I cannot express how livid I was to see that people who had NOT purchased tickets and were cutting the line managed to get in before us. Shouldnt you give priority to those who actually signed up and PAID for your event prior to coming? So that was the first 35 minutes wasted.Once we got in, we were forced to the coat check - it was painful just to ask one of the staff if we could PLEASE use the bathroom before going to the coat check. There we waited in line....AGAIN. This time for 25 minutes. Great. Now an hour of an event I paid for completely wasted. I was also shocked to see that you still charged for coat check (why wouldnt you include that in the price of the ticket?). I have no problem TIPPING for coat check but to pay on top of that? Seriously? And why would you only have one person working a coat check?After finally getting through these two lines, we were lucky enough to wait another 20 minutes just to get in line for cold, disgusting food. Im fine if you want to throw some pizzas out but whatever you got was absolutely gross.On top of this, the bar staff was completely overwhelmed. Why would you understaff a bar on NYE? I honestly felt so awful for the woman who catered to us the entire night because she was the only person doing her job and was completely swamped. I wish I got her name because honestly she deserves a raise. I was also shocked that there wasnt enough champagne...on NYE...to be served as drinks or even to celebrate for the champagne toast. I can tell you there were a LOT of angry men behind us yelling about it.I was so upset that our group of 4 didnt even get a chance to go dance. We had to stay close to the bar just to wait every 20 minutes in hopes of getting drinks.On our way out, we also witnessed 2 of your staff dragging a man, who appeared to be passed out, across the entire floor...dragging him. Do you know what kind of image that sets for your guests? Couldnt you have easily picked him up, put his arms across both shoulders and carried him into the other room to take care of him?Overall I am extremely upset that I wasted [money] for my boyfriend and I, for 1 night of lines, poor overall service, an understaffed bar, and crap food.I would really appreciate if your management team would take any of this into consideration, and Id like to request a refund for my tickets, for a complete waste of our time and a terrible way to celebrate the New Year.

Ghetto club with thugs working it. bartender was completely rude! I had bought a 40 dollar wristband and bartender didnt like being bothered as if it wasnt his job to make us drinks. Place was filled with thugs and smelled like weed through out the whole place. I will never ever return to this place! Please stay away!!! Chicago has better clubs than this!

Different brand liquor scam. Ordered rumchata, which I drink on a weekly basis, what we got was obviouly not rumchata. This place needs an audit.
