When Anthony N said he was coming here with a bunch of friends, I asked dinner companions Kent D and Tuan C if they wanted to make the trek out from the OC. After a great dinner at First & Hope, we did just that.

Wonderful Night out with friends and coworkers while we were in Chicago for a work related Conference. Love the dual piano bar. They were amazing! Very upbeat,lively place yo hang out. Great drinks. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

Passing through Chicago and ended up at Howl at the Moon. Had such a great time here! The musicians made the night so enjoyable by interacting with the crowd. I haven’t had this great of a time in a while. The service was amazing. Jordan made us feel welcomed and was fun to talk to. Plus, she is quite attractive. Job well done.

Our Event got cancelled because of weather... we just happened upon this place. My daughter & myself had a great time.

Great music and musicians. Lots of fun! Lack of drinks pricing on the menus lead to a nasty shock. Steer clear of the traditional cocktails, overpriced and poor. Bucket drinks are the way forward. Food snacks were reasonable too.Music the standout here. Will be back!

We had so much fun! Got the bucket drinks - Get Lit was my personal favourite and not so much a fan of the other drinks. The drinks were pretty reasonably priced too, a bucket of 32oz came up to about $30 and 86oz came up to about $40 so I’d just recommend going for the huge buckets. Had a small issue with our drinks which the bar kindly resolved for us and staff was so patient and kind and kept checking in to make sure we were okay. Music was so good too. Please stop by if you’re in the city!

Definitely the largest piano bar in Chicago. It’s in a great location which can host a ton of people because of its smart floor plan. Drinks were a bit on the expensive side but that’s to be expected in any major downtown. I was disappointed that the ladies restroom was not located on the main floor. There was a strong presence of police outside when I was there... not sure if that’s normal. Overall it was a fun atmosphere.

Howl at the Moon Chicago is the place to be! From the moment you walk in, you can hear the live music and feel the energy from the crowd. We danced, sang along, and a blast. I couldnt recommend this place enough. The musicians are all so talented. Playing multiple instruments and playing songs by request. Its a lot of fun! Bring some cash with you to tip the singers. Visit Joel at the bar. Hes great!

This was an amazing bar. Dueling pianos got to go on stage and dance. We had a fantastic time with me and my girls. The jello shots in the syringes were such a great idea. The people there were great and the bartenders were very quick.

Such a fun time and experience. I have been to a piano bar before but it was not as much fun as this place. We really had a great time and our waitress was fantastic. The man singing and playing the piano was great but the women was phenomenal!!One word of advice: get there early and enjoy some drinks before the show starts. It gets very crowded and it was standing room only after about 10 minutes into the show. When we left, there was a huge line of people down the street waiting to get in.You will not be disappointed!!They have an awesome beer selection, food and big buckets of fun drinks that looked like a good time for all who drank from it.Make this a place to visit when youre in town.

The place was packed as expected. There was a large party going on at the time. Was relatively easy to get drinks despite the crowd. The music was good. Only annoying part was the reserved tables that sat open the couple hours we were there while people stood wall to wall. Jello shots were good.

I wasnt impressed with the musicians. Its fun to change up songs and Ive witnessed this done many times, however these folks never had it going. One exception, the girl did a perform quite well, she was talented. Ive even been to some of their other locations where the performance was much better.

Awesome place! All the musicians are super talented and put their own spin on popular songs requested! So glad we found this place for a work trip, we came back later in the week and it was packed, I guess people found out about this best kept secret!

I just expected better music. More piano friendly and sing along. Too much rap and hip hop, just not the way I envisioned a Piano Bar but hey everyone seemed to be having fun and a good time. I personally just wouldnt give this 5 stars since Ive been to other dueling piano bars that were alot more fun.

So much fun here! The crowd is a wide variety of ages! They have a person at the piano & a singer who seems to know any and every song! You put your requests in a tip jar. My only disappointment was the small dance floor and it takes forever to get a drink so buy 2 or get the bucket deal!

I am unsure whether this place deserves two or three stars. Dont come here if you are hungry because seating is terrible and youll be hungry and tableless. Also dont come here if you enjoy customer service and good tasting good. I ordered wings and they tasted burnt.The reason Ill come back are for the buckets of cocktail. Those are fun and the one I ordered was tasty.

Let us just say this: GREAT - in every aspect. (The Band, the food, the drinks.) And pro tip: Leave before everyone leaves - then there will be no queue at the wardrobe.

Howl is awesome. We had a great time. The service was very fast and the drinks tasted great. It was not too hard to get a table on a Thursday night.Ill be back for sure.

Sign up for their emails on events and drink specials, Happy Hour drawings and be prepared for a unique and fun filled, exciting evening! I promise you won’t be disappointed! Recommend reserving a table or arriving early enough to find seating, as it gets more packed and turned up as the night goes on. Yes, it’s that good of a time! No plans, no ideas for what to do? Great music, lively atmosphere, live music, great band. You may ask for your favorite songs during the concert. Nice dancing space. The bar is located within the bohemian street of Chicago.

So much fun! My only complaint is the ladies’ bathroom situation. They MUST change the sign on the upstairs bathroom to make it two women’s rooms. There is a men’s room downstairs as labeled, and my understanding is that both rooms are meant to be women’s upstairs but it is not labeled as such. It is severely insufficient as labeled.

Pretty standard club/lounge area in the city to go when you visit, and is a bit of a touristy spot. I am not particularly fond of it, but doesnt mean that is not something to discount when making a trip. It is a staple of the area, but nothing spectacular and there are other spots that have the potential to be just as iconic should we let it

Weve been to other bars in Chicago and Howl at the Moon is the best you will find!!! Live music, pianos, instruments galore, this place has it all! The atmosphere is amazing, the musicians and music are awesome, the bartenders and staff are top notch, and the security is, by far, the best you will find!!! If you want a place to go to forget your troubles and have the best time in you life, Howl at the Moon is where you need to go!!! This is the only place we go now when we are in Chicago and we are never disappointed!! To all the employees that we encountered while we were there, you know who you are, thank you for making our trip the best!!! Looking forward to seeing you all again!

Enjoyed a night out with work colleagues. There is an entrance fee to get in. The band that played music for several hours were great. Nice and jolly atmosphere with very civilised folks having a good time too :)

Entertaining place. The piano players are very uptight and do not interact with the audience well at all.They play great, but it seems that they are almost resentful of their audience. Some of the things they said and did was odd.For example, someone wanted them to stop playing a song. They joked that it would cost $20. When the person gave it to them they didnt stop playing it. Ive seen the dueling pianos where they interacted so much better with the audience. Plus, they made a couple of jokes mocking older people. Which was in poor taste because the audience was on the older side (one of the piano players was an older guy too), Id say the average age was 50 or so when I was there.But, if you are looking for a cover band that includes pianos, then this is a good option.Prices are reasonable. I think a bucket of 6 beers was $22.

Was just there celebrating my cousin wedding reception. The waitress was very slick. My bill was $11.61 and this heffa charged me $15.61. Please watch your bank account if you are using a debit card. The overall place is good but watch the sneaky waitress..

I had so much fun..The music was great My God Sister and I had a blast. Their Bucket drink was so good very friendly environment, friendly bar tenders and they had live bands doing karaoke.I will be going back for sure

Howl at the Moon on West Hubbard Street in Chicago is a city staple. If you love piano bars, this is a must see stop while visiting Chicago it just a really fun place to hang out with your friends if you live here. The “dialing” piano players take song requests so if you don’t like the music, request some songs you like! Be prepared to wait in a LONG line to get in. But go prepared! Ok their website you can purchase a “Jump the Line” option for $25 a person. This will take care of your $10 cover, but more importantly, that extra $15 allows you to skip the dreaded line and head right in — which is quite valuable in chicago winters!

This place has one of the greatest vibes in Chicago! There is always live music! The place is huge and its in the heart of town! If you are in town for a little and need a great place to start your evening out, come here!!

Weve been here a half a dozen times or so and always have a blast. Great performers and the servers are rockstars. Very attentive and fast getting through the crazy crowd.

Great place to enjoy an evening that begins gently with a couple of pianos with familiar tunes. We went at 6pm - there were lots of open tables. A very friendly hostess helped us decide to grab a table at the back (slightly higher) if we just wanted to watch the performance. Anything closer was going to get very busy and crowded. It did! Great advice. A few hours later it was a very lively, crowd pleasing, request friendly, full-blown band with guitar, saxophone, drums etc. and some very talented musicians who sang and played all instruments. Amazing service in spite of the crowd. My glass was never empty (which of course cost me!) Ordered pizza and nachos - both mediocre. Dont miss it !

Great bar and great musicians, but if you go in hoping to hear your requests played, you should bring in some cash, otherwise they will play what they want to play (and maybe get to your request). Not a bad thing, but something to keep in mind, these talented folks have to earn a living too.

The BBQ chicken pizza and the nacho appetizers were so tasty! A little on the pricey side but overall a fantastic experience! We danced our hearts out and even though we didn’t request a song, the atmosphere was so great! Our plan was bar-hopping but we didn’t make it past Howl at the Moon!

This is going down as one of my 5 star ratings! This place was so much fun, the drinks are cheap and the live music is non-stop. Pur bartender Ashley, was super friendly and helped the experience a lot. The dueling pianos are what makes this spot. The incredible talent of the artists blew our minds.

I have been to this place twice in 3 years. I had great time on both these occasions. Place is lively, full of energy and superb band on weekends. Here they serve appetizers and good variety of cocktails in 86 oz glass which is fun. I would definitely recommend this place if you have group and looking for good time and booze.

I won a happy hour party and had a great time listening to the dueling pianos. However, during about two hours, none of the waitstaff came to our table leaving us to run our own drinks. Fairly disappointing. Not sure if we’ll be back.

Fun experience, pre-paid for a group and 3 extra jump the line but there was no line. I feel like you should be refunded the $15 extra per person since there was absolutely no line.

It was our first time here. We had such a ball, great time. Service was amazing. Symphony waited on us, and she was amazing. Her energy was wonderful. We will most definitely be back. Everyone we encountered was very welcoming.

Dueling pianos might be my favorite bar concept of all time, but if you have Joey as your bartender, it doesnt matter what the bar concept is. He took great care of us and was quick, attentive, and skilled in making recommendations and taking orders.Howl at the Moon is a fun venue to begin with - as mentioned above, the dueling pianos create an impressive ambiance. The drinks are priced essentially at market for River North, but they also offer an 86oz bucket size - literally served in buckets with straws for sharing as needed. This makes the bar ideal for large groups.

Howl at the moon had some great happy hours and if you win or buy one, you get to have 2 drinks for 1.50 and a buffet of a select food, which is a great deal! Especially if your friends win a free one, which they have drawings for all the time. Their selection is pretty great for drinks but Ive never had food other than the buffet there, so I cant speak for it. The music is also fun and cool, though sometimes hard to hear if its too packed or the piano is too loud. Definitely recommend a visit!

A fun piano bar. I was there on a Wednesday night and and was surprised how busy it was mid-week. The musicians played more than piano which I could see being loved by some and not by others but I though they did a great job.

My partner and I arrived just after 9 on a Saturday and it was already pretty packed, but we managed to get pretty close to the pianos, and we spent over 4 hours there. Yummy drinks and really friendly staff as well, will definitely go back next time we’re in Chicago!

Super fun piano bar! A great place to hang out at night, grab a few drinks, and sing and dance all night long to live music. You can go up and request songs to the musician.

It had a nice atmosphere. It was chilly a lot wear we had to keep our coats on. The ELEVATOR didnt work; for aplace with a lot of women having to use the washroom on the 2nd flr. The prices were reasonable, & the Bartenders & Waitresses where very nice

The dueling pianos were amazing. They will play about any that is requested. At one point the manager got up and started beatboxing while one of the gentleman rapped Colt 45 by Afroman. Definitely recommend.

First thought when I heard where we were going, “piano bar, I’ll be asleep by 9.”NOT THE CASE! Wow what a great place, the atmosphere, the service, and the music! You want a lively, energy rush of a place, look no further. Screw the clubs, screw the typical bar scene and all the sloppy drunks, this place has it all! Can’t wait to go back, kudos to the very talented and versatile musicians/singers you have. Management, you got a good thing going!

Lively piano bar with divey vibes. I was impressed that there were 2 pianists, a drummer, & a violinist. They were quite talented, plus a full on band amplifies the sound & generates more energy in the crowd. Most of the songs played were pop or classic rock.

Good prices, great atmosphere and even better live music! Friend recommended this place. It was pretty busy when we arrived but ended up really enjoying it (I think mostly because of the live music). The band that was playing was great!
