Really cool little area with a great lawn for the stage view. I went for the MS walk and had a great time. The stage is on a small man made pond, with plenty of room for everyone. Great place for a walk or to take the little ones. Id go back for a concert for sure.

Our joyful evening out:- We arrived at 5:00 pm, set up our spot for four adults and one toddler, and then ate our dinner.- At 6:00p pm the warm up group delighted us with music and singing until about 7:45.- At 8:15 the Charlotte Summer at the Park Orchestra performed beautiful hits from Broadway Musicals.***. Thats what I call a delightful night out!

They have a great show every fourth of July with a performance by the Charlotte Symphony, of American songs, a salute to our military forces and a fireworks show after. My family and I enjoy it each year we go. Arrive early as it becomes crowded quickly. I recommend a blanket or tarp to mark your spot and beach chairs. I recommend beach chairs to stay low to the ground, so you are polite and do not block others views. Many people bring a wide variety of food and drinks to enjoy during the show. Alcohol is permitted.

The water latern festival was fun and different. It seemed to draw a large crowd and managed to stimulate interaction among various ages and cultural backgrounds. The spectacle itself was outstanding. The music was also diverse and engaging. My only critique was for the energy of the main emcee at the event. He dropped some Debbie downer energy into the atmosphere and each person on the mic afterward kinda followed his lead. As much as I appreciate authenticity and transparency... I think theres a limit to how much a crowd of people at a festival can be exposed to narratives around death, sickness, and suicide without catching a case of the gloomies... Nevertheless, the crowd endured and the event was a success.

We went for the fireworks. It was a tad painful getting the youngster to sit still furing the symphony portion. The symphony was great and we had a good time visiting with friends. The fireworks were amazing. But the parking situation is absolutely insane. We went. We did it we probably wont ever do it again.

Getting to go here for larger headlined or themed events is so much fun.If you go during the day, bring sun screen and a floppy hat, if you go during the evening, bring bug spray (please dont blast all of those around you too)Beer and wine is allowed, and thankfully smoking is not allowed anywhere on the lawn. The live music is great, parking can be tight, or far away if youre attending a large event so arrive early or pack light. The only reason this is a 4/5 review is chairs. Please be considerate to those around you. The stage is slightly downhill from the lawn, and as such sitting any higher than your butt on the ground, blocks most of the view of the stage for EVERYONE behind you, so please, please just sit on a blanket, if you need a back rest use a low chair like a beach chair, not a fold out camping/sports chair.I attended a Starwars themed concert and the amount of people completely blocking the view of the stage with huge, tall chairs was unbelievable. Please think of others.I cannot wait to go back and attend the videogame themed concert they will be hosting soon

Worse Latin Festival EVER!!!!! I was told my 2year old couldnt bring water in. I get it, people try to sneak stuff in but our son had a water cup filled with H20 in HIS HAND!! But the reason volunteer man PEDRO told us was because the City Ordinance doesnt allow outside water. Excuse me Charlotte NC but in CLE Ohio (where its COLDER) they allows H20 on Hot days because of health reasons. Also, Tony the Facilitator seemed a little overwhelmed with his volunteers. Being a company owner from Ohio makes me not want to do business with Charlotte NC. I choose to stay in NC only because its a grow state. Then after speaking to a volunteer besides Pedro I was informed that the law was created due to health reasons again but found out from Tony that this was not the case. Tony then stated that he would deal with Pedro but I see no action. I would not suggest going to this park spending any money in Charlotte North spending any money with the Latin Festival. I told my family not to visit, Ive told my neighbors not to visit, Ive told the 1 million people that follow us not to go to your Park have a great day Charlotte hope that you get this under control.
