Absolutely Gorgeous! This was my first time playing here. Have lived in Fort Mill for almost 5 years now and worked in Ballantyne as well but never made it out! Played with my dad and brother for my 33rd birthday! Beautiful greens and fairways, excellent service, and better than anything $62 can get you in York County. Shame to close it in the near future. Will definitely be back a few times before that!!

My favorite place it’s always like home here! Anything you need that will pretty much take care for you... Also the Spa and Gallery is amazing!! The only place I stay when I’m in town!

Best public course around in Charlotte! Definitely the best kept course around. Service and staff are unbelievable. Staff is available to pick up and take your clubs down while you park, and staff offering to clean your clubs at the end of your game. Greens are in great shape, and the course itself just offer an amazing scenery. A little up there in price compared to most places, weekdays is about $62 with twilight being $42, but definitely worth it. Great course

Hit this gem before it is gone. Friendly staff and convenient location. Played on June 13th and there are a few oddities. Parts of the course could be in better shape and the bunkers are an issue. With no one taking them expect some friendly drops. I would suggest golf fans play this one before it is closed forever. The layout is fair and has multiple tee boxes and routes to allow golfers of all skill levels to have an enjoyable experience.

The golf course is fun to play and challenging with narrow fairways and lots of slopes and small greens. I do not recommend it for anyone who has any mobility issues as the carts are banned 60-70 yards out from the greens and many of the greens require a steep walk up or down to access them. as someone whos just recovered from a total knee replacement, the steep slopes were tough in places. We played in the age of COVID and there were no bag services at all. My husband had to carry both our bags down a full flight of stairs to the pro shop and cart access to protect staff and other guests. We had heavy cart bags (expecting this to be a resort course like others weve played (Kiawah, Sea Island, The Golden Triangle, Kingsmill) and this resort/course is not in the same class. Very disappointing.

Nice course, but overpriced for what it is. Given this is eventually going to be torn down, Im assuming a few of the costs are being cut, namely the condition of the greens, as they seem to have deteriorated over the past few years. Its worth a play if you can get it for under $50, but there is no chance Id pay $80-90 to play here.

Just played here Memorial Day weekend. Great course. A big course which you can pull out your driver and really go to town. Big fairways, and the course is a nice challenge for weekend warriors like myself.Back 9 has more par 5s than the front, and you can really score well if you can hit decent second shots. The greens and tee- boxes are well maintained. We liked it so much we played it two consecutive days on our visit. Highly recommend.

Very Nice golf course. Very slow play on busy days. Too many twosomes they don’t manage play properly. Check before you book tee time. Not worth the money in my opinion, but what u get when u play hotel course. If u come on a slow day and can play in reasonable time, it’s great.

The Ballantyne Golf Club is absolutely top-notch. The course is excellent with well kept tee-boxes, beautiful fairways, and lightning fast hybrid-bermuda greens. However, while this club fully deserves five stars for course conditions alone, I am writing this review as a thank you for some of the very best customer service I have ever encountered at a golf course. Every employee I saw from the first tee to the 18th green was outstanding and amiable. Ken, the pro shop attendant, in particular, has to be one of the nicest and most helpful clerks I ever met. He made my week. This course and its employees make Ballantyne a golf destination.

Ballantyne Golf Club is the best public golf course in Charlotte. Nicer than most Country Clubs, on par with a Longview or a Firethorne.
