Great place + Great instructorsI came here with coworkers, then came back for lessons. This is the first driving range I’ve been to so I don’t have much to compare, but I can firmly say I really enjoyed the atmosphere. This range is a super relaxing place to come to after work, have a few beers, and practice your swing.I also appreciate the quality lessons given by the team. I had a lesson with Cleveland, who I highly recommend. Cleveland was extremely patient, personable, and was able to break down everything into basic rudimentary exercises that made learning how to golf easier.I’m definitely looking forward to coming here again.

This place is my heart. Best way to spend any week night to relax after work. Cheap beer. Good lights. Cheap balls. It’s awesome and some are covered if it rains.

Lessons: Had a lesson with Chris Leatherman last night. He did not look to deconstruct my swing, but rather find the root of my issue and tweak slight adjustments bit by bit. Fantastic ability to coach.Repair Shop: Over the 3 years I have been here, I have had all of my clubs regripped, and three (3) reshafted (for various reasons). Repairs are completed quickly and at a reasonable cost.Pro Shop: N/A. Have not made purchase yet, but when I shop new set in the next year, Leatherman will be my first stop.

Great place to go and work on your game. Facilities are second to none. Mr. G is an asset to there business. Gives great advice for the game.

Staff always friendly. Facility always in great shape. Great putting green and chipping green. Covid friendly as you are always well spaced from those hitting next to you. Cant wait for shop to open back up as they also sell great golf items and have an awesome selection. If you have never visited you should definitely give it a try and once you try you will never want to visit another driving range. Top notch instruction available for those who seek it as well.

Wanted to make sure to take the time to say what a great place this is. Awesome training facility, and a great selection of clubs inside. After snapping my driver shaft, Curtis helped me find a new shaft that worked and was extremely helpful throughout the process. Really great guy and loved getting to talk with him- will be buying any golf related things from here for now on after working with him.

Cant understand this driving range. Beautiful spring and sunny summer days and the grass tees are closed more often than not. Any golfer serious about their game does not want to hit off mats. Nice putting green and chipping area, surprised the chipping areas is not surrounded by mats.

Leathermans golf is the best all around golf practice facility there is hands down!!! This place should not be closed!! It’s an open outside area and gives people a great opportunity to get out and relax, exercise, and practice there golf game. Everyone that works there is very professional and would follow any guide lines, being social distancing or whatever the case maybe. This makes no sense why a business like this has to close its doors, when you can gather at parks, go to stores where there is no guide lines being followed. Come on we need these types of businesses to open!!!!!

Great place. We have 17.1 acres in downtown Fayetteville that is currently a driving range but is losing its lease. I believe the space is for sale. It has a good clientele, and we are sad to see it go. Come save us! Thanks

Nice selection of accessories, clubs, clothes, and shoes also. Gets busy when the weather gets nice but they are open past sunset with the lights. Enjoy!

This place is great. Good rates, a well-stocked pro shop, automatic ball dispensers at every mat, and the ball machine takes credit cards and Apple Pay. Haven’t gotten a lesson yet so I can’t speak for that but I’d love to take one sometime to fine tune my swing. Great place to go if you want to get away from the Top Golf craziness.

Great local place to get out and hit some balls. Most of my experiences have been very positive. I prefer to hit off the mats underneath the overhang in the back, those bays tend to be a little more private and comfortable. Like other reviews, it can get pretty cutthroat grabbing a bay when it’s very busy, you basically have to hover around a couple people until they’re done and be ready to start a confrontation if someone else tries to cut in front of you. But hey, Darwinism right?

Range looked to be a great place.... staff was unfriendly and didnt want me to look at clubs in the roped off area.. Came here in Hopes of purchasing lessons and new clubs while here for work.

Easy to find, easy to get started, great pricing, excellent ground upkeep, ability to work on all parts of your game! Im a beginner and was very comfortable in this environment! See you again tomorrow :)

Great driving range and pitching green. Easy location to go and hit a few balls. Putting green is hurting. Pro shop has a nice collection of clubs and golfing paraphernalia.

I always enjoy going to Leatherman. Chris is a great instructor if you need a quick fizz or a long term establishment of a swing.

The range and the set up is awesome. It is a great place to go and practice. That being said I have been here twice now and I have never had one of their employees even be remotely nice to me. I do not look like your average golfer but my money is just as green. I was dismissed immediately and treated like an inconvenience. If you do go just get your ticket and enjoy yourself, the less you interact with the employees the better.

I highly recommend Chris Leatherman for lessons. He watched me hit 10 balls from different angles and suggested 2 changes: one to my grip and one to my swing. After 20-30 balls I was hitting the ball better than ever. I hold about an 8 handicap. After my lesson I went and played 9 holes and shot 1 under! AMAZING! Ill get a lesson from him once a month now. I go here at least twice a week. The putting green is always in good shape with a consistent speed from day to day and week to week. There is an abundance of room to hit balls, both from grass and mats. The chipping green is large enough to provide a variety of lies and slope to hit in to. The only knock, in my opinion is the chipping green seems to be very fast compared to the putting green.

Been here a few times. Facilities are great, the shop is great.They must hire staff with no personality! After todays visit i think i said good morning 3 times before i got a grunt!Asked him about how many golf balls for each basket, glad he had fingers. Must have being a pointer in his past life.

Top golf is for work gatherings. Here you can hit drivers with proper tee lengths off the mats. They have alcohol so you can still go to hang out with friends. They have a bunker practice spot and putting greens along with mini golf for the kids. The only thing keeping this facility from a five star is grass tees are not year round. I have been to plenty other ranges and this place is the only facility that grass tees are not available year round.

Be careful when driving through here. A golf ball cracked my windshield. The lady in the office admitted it was from their course and refused to cover it.

This place is awesome. Friendly staff, plenty of spacing for people to hit golf balls. Mr. Leatherman is giving lessons to my son. He is very good at keeping my sons attention. My son is learning so much. I would recommend this driving range / learning center to anyone.

I had one lesson from Mr Leatherman.I learned one magic skill, that I never knew:Ten finger grib!I just did a little change. I found my driver is going straight forward each time!WOW, I was even had just a lesson for my short game!I shared this trick with my friend today, magically, his driver is long and straight each time as well.Big thumbs up!

Decent facility, terribly disconnected staff members! I have been going to Leatherman for a couple of years now, and have yet to see their staff show any appreciation for their customers. The staff know that I am a regular but they always have a grim faced look when I pay for services. The reason I am finally posting this review is that after I spent literally hundreds of dollars practicing at their range, I recently went with my 9-year old son so he could do put-put golf while I practiced. Based on his prior experience when he lost his colored ball in the water, I asked the staff if they could give a second ball as back up. Guess what? The portly and surly looking staff member refused and said it is their policy to give only one ball. Imagine this! A ball that probably costs barely a dollar at most! They cannot give that to a regular customer knowing that I have been paying hundreds of dollars each time I renew my range card. I dont know who the owner of this place is but surely these staff members must be relatives because if I was the owner, I would get rid of all these guys real fast. I am waiting for my card to run out of money and then its bye-bye Leatherman. The other reviewers clearly reflect my feedback, and honestly, I was not surprised at the other reviews.

Its not a bad place, but when its busy its just everyman for himself. There is no organzation and other golfers just stare at you waiting for you to finish. Many people cut in line. Its a pretty horrible experience. When I asked for help from the staff, they just looked the other way with a dismissive answer. I will never be back.

My son who is now 15 takes has been taking 3 to 4 lesson per year with Chris for the last several years. Great teacher for juniors. Im a member of a local country club and have tried several other instructors and he is the best. Gives him one or two things to work on after each visit and doesnt try to oversell the lessons. Best value in Charlotte.

This place was a great place to hit balls. Prices relatively cheap and the range was in top condition. Would definitely come here agaib for practice.

I am currently in lesson with Chris Letherman.He is best golf teacher for me. After i had two lessons. My shots are getting much better when i play at golf course fields.Highly recommended teacher.

I am 61 and never wanted to play golf. Sold my company and got bored so I thought Id try golf. After 3 lessons with Chris Leatherman I am hitting 120 yards with a 7 iron well. Chris is an awesome teacher.

FITTINGS ARE FOR HIGH HANDICAP PLAYERS ONLY- had a one hour fitting scheduled, myself I am a scratch golfer that has a 118 mph swing speed and I was looking to get fit for a driver and 3-wood. During the fitting he only brought one X-stiff shaft down to test with for 3-wood and none do the driver. My current 3-wood was a X2 hot pro and out performed all of the stiff shafts in distance and height he put together than when it came to the driver I currently play a 3-year old Slider with a X-stiff speeder shaft tipped a half inch which had a carry of 275 and spin rate of 2000 and a 14 degree launch angle, all of the stiff shaft drivers he fit for me (all stiff) would launch at 18-19 degrees with a spin rate between 2700-5000. Fitting would have been good for someone who only plays every so often, but for a serious golfer especially someone with a high club speed its a complete waste of money.

Excellent advice and fitting with Curtis today. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their game.

I took lessons with Chris 13 years ago as a total beginner because I specifically wanted to learn a good swing that would last me a lifetime. Chris teaches the five fundamentals and thats what I learned and grooved in through hitting thousands of golf balls. Some personal changes and an injury kept me from playing or even hitting balls for 8 years, but my 14 year old son just started playing and I went to the range with him and was shocked that I could still hit my 1985 Titleist forged blades that I used for practice years ago. Just nailing them one after another after muscle memory and some of Chriss lessons returned. Im a total believer in learning a swing based on the five fundamentals and Chriss ability to teach them. Ive booked a lesson for my son so he can start learning this and start his golf career with a swing that will last a lifetime too.Update: 4 lessons in and my son has made huge improvements and is more excited about learning and playing than ever. Chriss way of teaching is very positive and hes very patient, and I think that helped a lot in not overwhelming my son as a total beginner and keeps him excited about improving. Great teacher.

Forget top golf. This is where you need to be for half the cost. Plus they have beer!

Nice facility. I have been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I have yet to see a smile or feel welcome when I come in the door. All three seemed to be in a bad mood and disinterested.

Best deal in charlotte for range balls, pads automatically tee it up to your preferred height, clubs are priced competitively to the internet. My favorite range.

I had taken many lessons that really were complicated and unnecessary. Chris made instruction simple and explained the fundamentals, made the golf swing simple to understand.Thanks Chris.

Nice facility, however the customer service by one gentleman in particular is terrible. The african-american man has a terrible attitude. I gave it a pass on the first visit, maybe he was having a bad day. But Ive been back several more times and he always finds a way to give attitude. Not sure why I keep going back but it was for the last time today.
