Nice wide open park. Perfect for hobbies that require little tree cover, like drone flying or kites.

Still pretty water logged, being next to the river it floods fast, but its very pretty. Watch out for the snakes, saw one stunning itself in tree and arou d the river banks.

This park is a shell of what it used to be. When I was a kid there was a campground, soccer fields, an airstrip for remote control planes. Its all gone now. The roads are covered in dog poop. This park has become disgusting. Its so sad. I used to love this park.

Wild raspberries are ripe water lillies in bloom, mosquito population not too awful, good time for a walk or fishing.

Good place to go fly quads and hang out. Other cool things here to but they could fix the road a little and remove all the holes.

If you like wide open spaces near Cedar Rapids to run, cross country ski, or fly model aircraft, then this is your place. Theres plenty of room for games, picnics, and sports. With the Cedar River often being high, many trails flood often, and river access is limited. The city could do better on wooded trails and mosquito control. Bathrooms would be nice, but theres porto potties, and they were cleaned regularly.

Really nice park when the river is low. Its very susceptible to flooding. Its got great open areas for dogs and trails through the woods.

Nice park with lots of open space and green grass. Plenty of trees for shade on super warm days and lots of trails and paths to follow. I frequently walk dogs here and they love it!

Peaceful and beautiful. Even on a weekend, I only encountered a couple other people. Trails arent physically challenging and offer very nice views.

Excellent paths along the Cedar River lined by naturally forming sand dunes, tons of dead fall and driftwood, as well as the river itself. Also a drone / rc airplane course, community gardens, and tons of wildlife. Oh, and! And a farming museum and a jet fighter just sitting there! Cool park. Definitely recommend.
