Nice and relaxing.You can go for walks or runs. It has a small playground for the kids. Some historical monuments about the town. Its hold a events there too like food truck fridays during the summer, car shows, parties, picnics, mini outdoor concerts/movies playing. Its a great place to hang out. Close to the Public library and fire station.

Marlen Perkins statue definitely a Kodak Moment. If you ever watch Mutual of Omahas wild kingdom...this is a stop for you.

Food was good .but its sure hot outside today

Just random. That sums it up you have a couple statues of I dont know who one is and the other one is in the middle of a fountain Will the fountain and the fountain water is filthy! Then theres a random pavilion however its not large at all and it doesnt seem to have much of a point other than it is just a park a park that is across the street from a library and theres a random statue of an old man who resembles a cho mode to me..

Stopped by the monthly FOOD TRUCK Extravaganza. What a great time, there where bands, car show, class reunions, family gatherings, any number of food vendors, children playing, dog walkers, people watching people, greetings from old friends, and the making of new friends. This is a very good way to see and talk to a live person and not communicate by way of cellphone.Amazing thing happened.People looking like they liked being out of their fast paced lives and enjoying each other.

Central Park is a very nice park the grounds are well-kept and there are lots of events in the park such as car shows,weddings, birthday parties, and also theres a swimming pool that in my opion is in need of repair and upgrading but I think that is in progress as we speak recently I have seen people metal detecting in the park there are two bathrooms near a large water fountain and if you need a drink of water for you and your dog there are drinking fountions for both.There is also a large gazebo with smaller gazebos around the area and plenty of seating such as picnic tables and benches. I dont recall any barbecue grills so Im not sure if they allow that? They have a small play area for the children with a few slides a little Bridge.they also have a small Vietnam War Memorial, in the park and if you are into food trucks the park has a large gathering for that also its called food truck Friday vendors from all around the area show up on Fridays with food trucks and they have a large variety of food and music a small car show ect

This was my first visit to this park, enjoyed during a summer festival in Carthage. It is very lovely with plenty of landscaping, seating, and shade to relax during a leisurely stroll. The event itself was nicely presented with laid-back entertainment and plenty of food trucks serving up great street food. My only complaint is the restroom facilities. While they were relatively clean & odor-free (which is outstanding for a park), the toilets were not able to keep up with the crowd, stopping up and not flushing. The situation may have been remedied later in the evening. But it was at least an issue earlier.

It is a nice and peaceful park but it is next to a busy road.

Safe place to go walking. Today the blue jays and squirrels were busy. They only add to the peaceful beauty of this park.

Awesome on food truck friday. Perfect place to bring the kids and kill a few hours playing. Loved the bridge on the play ground and the wading pool! Kids did NOT want to leave.

Centrally located. Well-maintained. Lots of shade trees. I sit on the benches and read. There are also picnic tables, a covered stage area, a wading pool, playground equipment, and a fountain. Used as staging for many local photographers. Every Friday night is Food Truck Friday!

The kiddie pool is great fun for free. The hours are Monday-Friday 12:00pm-4:00pm. The fountain and landscaping are nice to look at, and the playground is little kid friendly.
