Really nice picnic tables with yawnings. No sewage drain holes at each site, which I liked, but they do have a station for it on the way out, away from the sites. Facilities were clean, only one shower in each of the restrooms. Would love to go back and get on Canyon Lake again.

From what I can tell its probably a really nice park, but we are currently sitting on the side of the road in our 40 ft with tow, because the gate attendant wouldnt allow us to check in. We were told to turn around by the dump station, which had a line of 4 campers, so we used the camp loop. There we discovered several vacant spots, including ours. I was in a separate vehicle and drove to the office asking if we could stay, since it was available. She rolled her eyes and said no- not until 3pm. Meanwhile her husband jumped in the car and blocked my husband with his vehicle, jumped out and told my husband to leave the park.This was the rudest welcome to any RV park ever.If you travel and make good timing dont expect this couple to work with you. You will have to sit on the side of the road and wait .Lets forward a week.....We spent 7 days here and really enjoyed the place. The lots are very spacious, with covered picnic tables and a view of the lake. We met some volunteers who were very friendly and always kept an eye out to make sure the place is clean. Had we not experienced this awkward first day this place would have gotten a much better rating.

Beautiful park, liked the spacing and covered metal and paved sites, the facility, rest room lights, heater, etc needs more attention and maintenance.

This is a nice park. However, the restrooms have not been cleaned since we have been here. The same paper/trash has been on the floor since our arrival. One of the women’s stalls has been locked with trash all over the floor. Is it out of order? The shower head in the men’s falls off.

We visited back in June for the first time and enjoyed our stay. Clean facilities! Swimming was a bit rocky but fun. No luck while fishing but next time well try from the pier.

Great place to just get out of the house especially these days. No fishing today though. BTW the dock is closed.

Gorgeous scenery with a lake. The Army Corps of Engineers really made something great here. Despite the insane weather, we had a wonderful time. Facilities here include showers, covered picnic area, and water access. Boat launch, RV camping, and primitive camping are all available. Advise booking before arriving on busy weekends to avoid losing your spot.

I love this park. It feels like its hidden from the rest of the world. The bathrooms are clean, price is good and its nice and quiet.

I love this place! Each spot has its own fire pit AND bbq pit. The picnic tables are enamel coated, the sitting area is encircled by a cement border, and where there isnt cement there is grass. I love this because we often have to spend a substantial amount of energy and time cleaning out the dirt and grime from inside the rv. The water is a short walk and isnt ideal for fishing or swimming but maybe for wading. Gorgeous place!

It is nice here. Looks great, scenery is great. Fishing dock and boat ramps, camping too. All great.

Crappie pier has been closed for months. I spoke with a local game warden and he said a few welds on the pier were broken. The army corps of engineers run the facility and is in no hurry to fix it apparently. The pier is the main attraction for the park.

Worst attend at gate not helpful and definitely not pleasant. We got here to early and she really lets us know. We couldnt even look around. We came all the way from Florida a and did good timing so we were 3 hours early. I know that was our fault for not paying attention to check in time

We made reservations for camping and the attendant wouldn’t let us in because of our truck.If you have any sprinter van, roof top tent, truck camper or any other modern day “overland” camp set up, look some where else because you are not welcomed here.Can I get a refund at least??
