Friendly staff and overall comfortable visit. The place is fairly small, but the amount of information and history that is shared with the visitors makes you feel very welcomed. Tour guide gives tours every 15 to 20 minutes and goes into details about how it all started and the types of dinosaurs that were common in the area. Today was a very hot day and he looked tired... I wish I had water to offer him some. It would be nice if they sold drinks and snacks inside the store during hot weather months.

A very fun and informative experience. The staff were extremely kind and knowledgable about the items there as well as the dinosaur tracks in their main attraction. They have clearly put a lot of work into this museum and while it is small there is a lot of value and we learned so much. They are extremely kid friendly with some cool activities for them to do. If you have an hour or two to spare then definitely check this place out.

The museum is an educational and historical venue sharing the recent pioneering past and the very distant past (70 million years ago). It is well worth ones time - satisfying ones curiosity - both young and old. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the experience.

It was so much fun. It only cost 5 dollars each to get in. It was dinosaur day today so we got to hunt for fossils and listen to an expert talk about the types of dinosaurs from the area. They had actual dinosaur footprints which was really awesome especially for my young nephew who is a dinosaur fanatic! Everyone was extremely kind and helpful

This place had a lot of local stories and experiences from the area. The findings here are quite something to see. You can almost build the story of predator and prey in their outdoors viewing space. A good amount of souvenirs and toys for kids.

Im a newby area resident and I just got around to seeing this place. Lets clear the air here: Despite the heritage in the places name, this museum is all about dinosaurs that once roamed this part of Texas. They have some old farming implements on display and some interesting pictures of the Canyon Dam under construction and Canyon Lake as it filled in the early 60s. But what you paid your $5 to see is the third acre of wonderful dinosaur tracks and giant snail tracks that were unearthed and are kept from the elements under a giant metal roof. Cool as can be.

Very Cool! The dinosaur tracks are real and well preserved. I brought three kids 5, 6 & 7. They loved the fossil find sand box! The lady who did the tour must have been a teacher because she was awesome with the kids and made it fun. They also had very inexpensive toys ( dinosaurs for a buck fifty) in the gift shop.

Once known as Dinosaur Flats, this wonderful little gem near Canyon Lake is a diamond in the rough. Better staff training would be a big improvement that would not cost much, but the rest is a great addition to any trip to our through the area. It would also make an ideal school field trip out of San Antonio, New Braunfels, or Austin.
