One of favorite parks. So good for kids hiking and the atmosphere is so nice and quiet. Perfect place for fishing and barbecue. It’s so accessible from two access points.

A very nice location for a picnic. There are many benches, picnic tables, and even public restrooms. There are also fire pits if you wanted to bring your charcoal. I highly recommend bringing lots of tin foil, the metal grates have been around way too long. There are many parks in this area. I highly recommend going to the West Bank park for a more romantic location. A great way to get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors.

What a great recreational option for those in the area. We were exploring/scouting for a kayak fishing trip in the future. Everything seemed well-marked.

Had a great time. Clean environment. Pavilions are far enough apart to feel private, even if there are people in a pavilion next to you. Would/will do again. Only set back - the gates were locked when I first got there and it wasnt easy finding the contact info to get them unlocked. But once I called, it was just a matter of minutes before they responded.

Nice park with hiking trails and a decent sized beach with swimming areas. There are also fishing spots and plenty of areas to grill with small or large families.

9.15.2018 FISHING AT BUFORD DAM ABSOLUTELY WAS GREAT! Found the perfect fishing spot. We caught 5 brim (had to return those) and 2 whopping catfish! We arrived early. Day fee was $5.00, no cash. Loved it!

Lots of trails and its apparently taken care of by the army core of engineers. I came up here hoping to get some cool drone shots, but the website says you need to get permission from the core 30 days in advance (at least for lake laneir, which I assume includes the Buford Dam). So thats kind of a bummer.

Beautiful views, clear water, clean bathrooms, large beach area. Also has a fun area to see neat rocks.

Overall the beach was clean. Not busy since school is back in session. The water was clear but feathers are everywhere. I think they have a goose problem. Maybe they could use some swans if people could be nice to them and not feed them.

Well it aint Florida, but it has a nice little beach, with safe swimming boundaries, but i like the privacy and BBQ area and its kept pretty clean and frankly not having hordes of teenagers everywhere is a real blessing. u can come here in winter and its beautiful too, just walk along the shore and see how the edges freeze, easy trails to walk... picturesque.

One of many day parks managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This Park has a large U shaped Beach.

Good option for outing with kids. A small beach, playgrounds and lots of nature. Come prepared with water toys, tubes, mats, swimwear and lots of food. have fun!! But watch out there are no life guards!!

Great park, nice trails. Unfortunately during winter months the park closes at 5 pm.

Nice place to getaway for the day if you don’t mind the crowds. The beach area is usually packed and has lots of people cooking out on their grills. The only downside is the beach area is small and the amount of bugs can get annoying

I loved getting to walk down to the water. Its like a little lagoon! However, really dont like the fact that the office takes cash only, I had to wait inside the gate for about 20 minutes waiting for a friend to bring me $5.. I know, I shouldve been prepared just in case, but please consider purchasing a card reader? I think it would be very beneficial for all customers.

Wonderful place to go all year round! You can take the Laurel Ridge Trail around the loop (approx 4 miles) and that takes you past the dam, some nice wooded trails and some beach areas.

There are several portions to this park including Lanier Park. The trick is finding the one you like best. Once you pay the park fee you can visit each entrance to find a good spot with table and grill for the afternoon. If you arrive before 11 am on Sunday you could almost have your pick. Each park is on Buford Dam Rd and each has a beach area for swimming. We had a lovely day and cooked some good food on the grill on the site. No pets are allowed at any of these parks.

A very clean and beautiful park to visit with family. We enjoyed the friendly staff, and diversity of the patrons. I would like to see Fire Rescue placed at the parks beach more frequently.

Nice scenery drive

Great park, we visited with kids and family for kayak and had great time. One side it has beach for kids and other is open lake for boats and kayaks... great fun.Only if they had allowed pets then it wouldve been even better.

Never been here before. I discovered this place from friend during summer. We had a party and it was absolutely the most beautiful and exciting scenery.

This place is very nice. Water was warm and not frezzing like other lakes and it was very clean there wasnt rocks, algae or any other thing. Many great places too rest,but i wish there was more restrooms

Not even worth the $4.00 to park. Trashy, no pets. They took a beautiful area and put up fences and signs telling you what you can and cant do. Save the $ and trip and find someplace else.

This park is awesome. I had fun all day. Lots of shade and plenty of room to play and walk. Its worth paying the money to get in.

Great place for everyone and all ages!

1 star = NOT PET FRIENDLY. Most people who think of parks think a great place to bring dogs for exercise. Not at all pet friendly here. Cant leave the dogs in the car so had to cancel day trip after driving all the way up.

Beautiful park. With small beaches,very good to spend the time with the little kids.

Good park & beach overall. Bathrooms become dirty & need to be checked more often. Trash needs to be changed more frequently. DO NOT leave your car here overnight, even after asking permission! They will tow! Cost me $120! & I asked!!

Boat access, lot of grilling spots, big shelters. The sand volleyball court leaves a lot to be desired though.

....Well....we call it J.C. Beach and have all my life....Im 50 now ....been going there for more than 30 years.We use to go there and party like crazy ! !
