A beautiful tranquil spot to eat lunch on a bench, park & read or take a quick nap during your lunch hour...lol... It is a gorgeous place for a photoshoot. There are a few restaurants, a couple of pubs/bars, a coffee shop in the area and a few more walking distance.Its smack in the middle of Bowling Greens college (WKU) town so I dont really know how busy it is after Covid.There are not many shops and I can really see this place poppin for more small businesses but at the moment its pretty quiet.

They put alot of effort into the lights every year. This year was no exception. Great clean fun little place to walk under archways or just sit a spell.

It was very pleasant and very well kept up. Went there in the morning and there were a few locals chatting and reading. Nice benches, statues and good shade in most of the park. Best thing I have found so far in Bolin Green.

Very cool and historic place in town. I love all the little boutique shops and historic churches around here. The fountain is so pretty lit up at night and the garden around the park is just as beautiful during the day. Spencers Coffee on the square is for sure the spot to be.

Its a nice place for meditation most especially in the morning hours of the day. People get themselves refreshed under the beautiful shades of trees. The aesthetic of the environment is an inciting one.

Very nice an elegant looking with the use of only white/clear/plain lights. With the plainness of the lights there could have been more wreathes, bows, or something to have gave more of the Christmas feel and doubled for a great photo spot. However, seeing the work that had just been completed to the downtown area the lights all one solid color was classy.

Beautiful little park, and with all the shops and restaurants nearby it makes for a great evening!

On a 12-hour road trip from Pittsburgh to Memphis, I cannot imagine a nicer place to have stopped. The beautiful fountain and sweet smell of pale pink roses was nothing less than idyllic as I drank a coffee from a truly good coffee shop in the square. I would recommend to anyone a visit to Fountain Square Park, even if it adds a little time. Honestly it made me want to move to Bowling Green. Just great!

Best place in BG to get that historic downtown feel...we walk the kids and the dog around the square all the time! Great atmosphere and a beautiful fountain as a centerpiece! A lot of people like to take pics here! Def worth atleast one visit!

Clean, nice spot for a walk. Took the time to enjoy the fountain and the statuary, as well as read a bit of the local history on the markers in the park.There are a variety of businesses on the square as well.

This is an amazing place honoring veterans of all armed forces.

Very atmospheric square/park. It’s very nice, and in December they put up very pleasant Christmas lights. I only give it 4 stars because it’s not too much to write home about, but it is a pleasant little place.

I visited during the Lighting of Christmas. It was beautiful, live music, and awesome kettle corn!

Middle of downtown Bowling Green, KY. Old town feel. Great little shops and few good bars. I like Tidballs and Dublins.

This place has been redesigned and theres is more parking lot. Outsiders reccomend to come check it out, hen youre in-town.

WAY more exquisite than one would expect for a small town square. It really adds elegance to a surprisingly vibrant downtown.

Nice park in the middle of downtown Bowling Green. I hear its good for Pokemon.

Totally renovated fountain and brick pavers. Wow, they made a good place better. Many of the locals get family and wedding pictures shot there because of the picturesque perspectives. Shop the area for galleries, favorite local restaurants, and even fantastic chocolate shop (Mary Janes Chocolates).

Really pretty a lot of construction well kept should be nice for generations to come.

This city knows how to run a town square. lovely planters everywhere and live music on weekends. Scrubbing the pavers in the early AM. Wow! Miami take a lesson!

Beautiful and clean

If your in the area and looking for a nice spot to sit for a second try it out. Another good sitting spot is the side yard of the county clerks office. Take note of the old iron fences in the area too.

Quaint little park right in the heart of the city. A wonderful place to sit and watch the paint dry.

Great city park right downtown, clean, quiet (except at concert time!), good place to walk, read, hang out. Quite a bit of shade and a walk-in water fountain that little kids absolutely love (adults can sit nearby or get in also), great for hot weather. City also holds summertime concerts here which are very popular.

Such a wonderful little square! They have it decorated beautifully for the holidays this year. Perfect spot to go with friends!

I love it down there. So much to do

For so many years, Fountain Square Park is what I think of when Bowling Green comes to mind. Its a small park in the downtown area with a beautiful cast iron fountain, some statuary, gardens and benches. Its perfect for just sitting down, resting and watching the world go by. At Christmas, it is very beautiful with lights. I love this tranquil place.

Enjoyed the concert on the square! Would have been 5 stars, were it not for all the homeless folks hanging out all over... seems like a good place to find generous tourists to panhandle from, I suppose. ..

The square is a sociable spot in Bowling Green, it has many historic buildings and businesses that make up the outer rim and there is a park with a fountain, multiple benches and sidewalks, a beautiful calm place to be. And its busy at night. So you get the best of both worlds. Its easy to bypass the square if you dont want to experience it. Live bands play often and I enjoy the place.

This is our favorite place to go in bowling green. We got to see fountain and enjoyed making a new friend. The squirrel we named Melody

This park is in the center of the historic downtown square in Bowling Green. It is full of history, host to many local events, and something I usually drive through every day.

Fountain and other art ( statues) are entertaining.

Unfortunately we visited during time of refurbishment construction. Not real special right then.
