Great birding and fun for a walk. Water is really low so please crimp your barbs and release any fish you catch quickly. And pick up your bloody line, that stuff does not decompose!
This is a gorgeous walk around little lakes. Beautiful mountain views and wildflowers all over the place. The loops we took added up to be a little over 5 miles, though depending on which trails you take, you could make it longer or shorter. There were a ton of people fishing around the lakes as well. The only downfall was that several areas along the trails are infested with TONS of mosquitoes! Its half-mile stretches at a time along the trails between trees that are just awful to walk through... and even jogging through them to get out faster, you still get eaten alive. Need some heavy, heavy deet bugspray here.. or long sleeves, long pants, a hood.. anything to cover your skin up!
It has a very serene vibe during cloud cover and light rains
One of the last great spots in Boulder that doesnt get too crowded. Youll have to find the right ponds for yourself, but there are some decent bass here. If fishing isnt your thing, its a peaceful and quiet place to walk and gather thoughts. Great views away from the city, and parking is simple. Another bonus is that its right next to Walden ponds, so you could walk or fish both areas. Make sure to keep the area clean, and catch and release so we can keep these fish growing.
Relaxing and peaceful away from everything!
Great casual walk space.
A great place to enjoy nature without a long drive. Birding is excellent.
A great experience walk. Lots of birds and quiet.
Good place to take a hike or walk the dog. If youre looking to fish I recommendfinding another lake. Catch and release and artificial lures only, not for real outdoorsman.
Good fishing spot tall grasses and shallow waters verry scenic and quite when planes arent flying over keep in mind its lure fushing only
Beautiful place to take a quick hike!
Fun hidden fishing area!
One of my favorite places to hike and take photos. There are several ponds Boulder Creek runs through the northwest side of the area. My dog also likes it.
Its a park in East Boulder. The trails are flat and well marked. Great place for bird watching, running, or walking. There is a bathroom (outhouse) facility and plenty of parking on site.
Had a good time getting to the lake. Took my bike to cut down on the walking. Make sure to bring your fishing licence tho cause the lakes are constantly patrolled by the fish and game.
Be aware of masqiot
Amazing view !
Great bass fishing. Beautiful views. Lots of hiking trails.
Lots of bream
Great local trailhead and fishing hole. I have caught a number of Bass, dozens of bluegill, and a Crappie so far. Artificial lures and flies only, catch and release.Practice good ethics and the fish get bigger and stay bigger.
Amazing wildlife everywhere you look. Great trails, good pond fishing.
Bald eagle and other birds
Good place to hike, look for birds, bring water and bug spray
Nice walking trails, though somewhat poorly marked & maintained.
A very beautiful area for walking your dog or bird watching, especially early in the morning, it is really quite beautiful.
Mostly carp, actually thats all Ive seen.
Hiking areas
Wish canoes were allowed.
Loud power lines above you, dirty ponds, wasnt impressed.
