Love the wide open space and the on leash walking trails. The million dollar mountain view is incredible!
Best dog park in Boulder County..by far. This trailhead is epic even if you do not care for a pup. You can bet on beautiful sunrise or sunset at Davidson Mesa. Happy hiking!
Beautiful view of the mountains. Nice flat trail for on-leash dog walking or running. No shade. Bathroom can be accessed via the McCaslin tunnel.By the dog park.
A very easy hike with views of beautiful mountains. It starts through an off leash doggie park. There is an option to not do the entire 3.3 mile loop. There is no shade so it gets pretty hot in the summer. Prairie doggies frolic along the way.
Just a wonderful spot in Louisville! Great, well kept paths and everyone is very respectful of space. Views are amazing, you can see all of Boulder and surrounding areas. There is little/no shade, so early mornings work best or pick a cloudy day.
Beautiful views and accessible trails for walking, running, and biking. The fully fenced, off leash dog park is a gem, too!
Its a whole lotta fun descending into Boulder, after climbing the Marshall Rd trail.
So many fun little side paths you can take that are all mostly flat! Nice and easy
Nice park has 2 parks close together davidson mesa a unique flat park with walking or biking trails across the street is a lake park with walking trails small parking lots that fill up fast
Great spot to take your dog for off leash walk near Costco.
Nice little walk/hike space. Its got a couple different routes and a mix of flat and incline/decline. My wife and I went here on a date and it was wonderful!
Beautiful walk along the mesa, great view of Boulder Valley. Also lots of beautiful birds and horses along the way to look at from a distance.
Pretty steep for the first half but then levels out a little more. Really good workout.Beautiful views! No shade, wear sunscreen and a hat!
What a beautiful place to walk the loop! The Flatirons and the continental divide are visible and are like a painting from there, just take your dog for a walk there while the dog park is closed, you will thank yourself and feel a deeper Zen relaxation
Really nice trail, flat and smooth all the way around. Great views of the flatirons.
Its outside and literally the only way to not enjoy yourself outdoors, surrounded by nature, and beautiful scenery is if you hate all things beautiful about our planet in which case i urge you to move back to Thneedville.
One of my favorite walks, great views of the foothills.
Traveling for work and wanted a place to trail run on weeknights, this place was very close and fit the need. Pretty much flat and crushed rock trail, outer loop is right around 3.2 miles (minus the steep drop off section), perfect for a few loops. Mountains off on the horizon arent too bad to look at either :)
Very nice clean trail. The only thing is that theres not much shade.
Great flat loop that has multiple turn around points to make your circuit anywhere from half a mile to 4 mile. Beautiful extended views of the flatirons and rocky mountains front range. Parking can be tight on weekends but extra parking and restrooms available at other side of Mccaslin boulevard. Common to see prairie dogs, hawks, Falcons. Flat dirt pathway with benches along route.
Wonderful location for a run, walk, or ride. Relatively smooth gravel & dirt trails. About a 3 mile loop, with shorter cutoffs available. Nice views of the Flatirons. Trails are uncrowded. Since there is a dog park at the trail head, there are fewer dogs on the trail than might otherwise be expected. A pedestrian tunnel connects Davidson Mesa to an additional trail around Harper Lake that is about a 1 mile loop. One caveat: Since there are virtually no trees on the Mesa, you may want to avoid this trail on extremely hot or extremely windy days.
Great views even on cloudy days! A few miles of nice walking paths and a dog park too!
The views of Boulder Valley below are breathtaking! I cant imagine anyonyone not being truly impressed. Nice 3 mile gravel trail loop or choose alternate routes for a shorter distance. If the lot is full, cross over McCaslin to find more parking. There is a convenient underpass so theres no need to worry about traffic.
Awesome place to get in a quick hike or run!
The views! Oh the views are incredible here and all along the trails! The parking area on the west side of the road is mainly for people with dogs as there is a great dog park trail that heads west, but there is a much larger parking area directly east, on the east side of McCaslin that links up both sides via a tunnel going under the road. A people trail heads off from the same dog park area but skirts the left (south) perimeter. Both offer breathtaking views of the Boulder Front Range valley.
Dog park: good open space for off-leash exercise. Well behaved dogs and nice people, and great views. Native grasses are dry right now (late summer). Bring water; people bring jugs of water and take them to refill, but in warm weather, they sometimes run out. Compostable bags for waste provided, but sometimes run out on busy days. In general, a good dog park.
Great place for dog to walk and play; easy trials in different lengths, which was very pleasing for our 13 year old Maltese. Being there @11AM we had no problem with parking our car, however spaces are limited. But in overall experience
Breathtaking beauty, love the Front Range. Theres even a lake on the other side of the street.
Great views on a well-kept, and mostly flat wide dirt path for bikes and running/walking. Its about a quarter of a mile from trailhead to an amazing view of Boulder and the mountains, and the largest loop around the main path is a little over 3 miles all the way around. Highly recommended for exercise.
Nice place to walk your dog, or with the wife/ husband or even a bike ride.
What can I say, great place to hike out to Route 36s Boulder Valley overlook, or just visit the dog park penned in area, or, hike only part way and draw or paint.Especially enjoyed watching the weather change over the Indian Peaks and Boulder. Didnt take long to get back to the car when the rain came in LOL...Awesome Sauce...
Nice walk
Great place for a mostly flat trail run or bike ride. The parking lot can fill up, but usually its not bad.
So much gravel.. mmphhh
Davidson Mesa is wonderful because you have a nice 3-mile Loop but you can run or cut short if youd like. Its very well kept and you can let the children just roam among the wildflowers.
Wonderful walking trails; dog friendly with a dog park next door. Gorgeous vistas...a beautiful area to enjoy the beauty of the Flatirons.
..get location and views... can also walk the lake next door..
Visited with friends and their dog. Loved the place, fantastic views and vistas. Great surrounding trails if you want to go for a run.
Super nice views above Boulder towards the lower mountain range, Flatirons and Pikes Peak in the back.
Beautiful scenery
Great place to ride your bike or take a walk and see a perfect view of the mountains.
Easy trail for biking or walking. Stunning view of the mountains!
I love the dog park. Great views while the dogs get a great area to run around.
Great place to visit. Sunsets are magnificent.
Very very nice place easy on you and your friends
Lovely trail with wonderful views to the Mountains. Great for a leisurely stroll, or a nice run. Sunset is absolutely beautiful here, and calls for great photo opportunities!
I spend so many evenings here mostly running and walking. So beautiful and popular, you can take amazing pictures at different times of the day.
The Davidson Mesa Trail Head provides access to a nice open space area with trails to the east and west of the small parking lot. There are spectacular views of the front range from any of the trails. My favorite was the Harper Lake loop trail, which is to the east of McCaslin Boulevard.
Davidson Mesa open space has stunning views of the mountains, multiple trails to venture on, and a spectacularly huge off leash dog area. If you are looking for a place to ride your mountain bike, to take a leisurely stroll, or a park for your doggy to be happy with as he runs around, this is the location! The park is exceptionally clean, the trails are well tended to, and those views just cant be traded!
Nice place for a calm walk and watch the skies over flatirons. Can make a good 5k loop around the area which is good for a quick run
Decent please to let your dogs run free in the off leash area. Would be nice though if they had more trash cans along the trail to properly take care of your dogs waste. O not forget to bring water. Its BYOB.
One of our fave dog parks. Cant beat the view!!
This was my first visit to Davidson Mesa and it was smaller than I expected but the view of the Flatirons is awesome and the dog park is clean and well maintained.
Good trail with kid stroller.
Great trailhead with pretty views and fenced areas for dogs to run around and play!
Pretty well taken care of.
There is a nice view of the mountains and it is a good place for a walk.
I love Davidson Mesa trail. It has a variety of length of loops to walk or run. Dogs are welcome and it has a beautiful view. Because of all this wonderfulness, it is usually quite crowded on the weekend. But its always clean, and therere bathrooms right across McCaslin.
Beautiful walking area!
Well maintained trail, multiple routes, nice place for dogs, bikes and runners
My dog loves this park! Great way to go for a walk with your dog loose (in the dog park). Trail around the dog park and plenty of space to the sides of the trail to throw toys.
So pretty. Great hike.
Best dog park. Trail is a quarter mile long. Our dog LOVES this park.
It was really lovely and has good trails
Great views of the front range and Boulder. Multiple trails including flat and a climb. Love running on the trails here, something about the sound of the small gravel of the trails. The dog park area is just enough to get our pup a little worn out before hitting the other trails, but you can easily spend more time there.Parking can be a challenge in the evenings, but there is an underpass so you cam park on the other side of McCaslin at Harper Lake.
Love the dog park! You really cant beat the view!
A nice place for a walk/run or bike ride with beautiful views overlooking Boulder and the mountains (especially at dusk). The gravel trails are flat and wide which make this accessible for people of all ability levels. There is also an off-site dog park here, so bring your dog along!
Biggest dog park ever! Gorgeous view of the front range. Take the dog and take some pictures.
Most picturesque walks
Great place to bring my dog.
Great trails beautiful views right place to visit
Great doggie community! ..and groovy view.
Great views and easy to get to
Lots of trails for hiking and riding bikes. Dog park. Amazing views! Amazing views!!!
Beautiful view of the Boulder Flairons.
Love this view
Lots of place in the off the leash dog area only recommendation is to maybe put some rock or cement down for the owners to stand or walk on. Kinda a muddy mess the day we were there.
Great place to eat
One of the best open spaces around, with several choices of distance for flat walks with great views of Boulder and the mountains. The dog park area is big, and while its mostly dust and scrub, being able to pass through as part of a loop and the always-supplied water make it overall pretty good.
Beautiful! Walk all the way to Eldo!
Its a simple park, no trees nor lights for the night, but you can get a wonderful view from the city of Boulder. Also there is a place for dogs.
Beautiful
