Great hike, it was a somewhat challenging we took the moderate trail (flatirons loop) but it was definitely worth it! There were some great views of the mountains and of city once we were up higher on the trail.

One of my favorite hikes for the afternoon. Short drive up and great trails that can all be connected depending on how much hiking you want to do.

Beautiful area to go hiking! I would really only recommend this to medium fit people, or people who are trying to get more fit. It is a strenuous stair master for sure.

The rock formations here are amazing! It makes you feel like you’re on earth a million years ago with the dinosaurs! You get scenic views of the flatirons from everywhere in this area. I come here to hike at least twice per week, with sunrise hikes being my favorite!

Great free climbing slab for beginners. Be weary, lots of exposure near the top. Not a climb for the faint of heart. Highly recommend climbing/ approach shoes of some sort and basic rock climbing knowledge.

What a great way to spend the day! We hiked in and climbed the flatiron. Approach was a little tricky and we ended hiking up a lot more than we wanted. Follow the flatiron loop until you see access to the second flatiron and go from there.

Awesome hike, if you arrive around 1-2 hours before sunset youll see the third flatiron in a golden light. The trail is pretty long, and gets tougher as you get closer to the top.

This was a really beautiful hike, the trail was clearly marked, looking around while ascending had nice overlooks over Boulder. Couldnt go all the way up due to birds nesting, but it was still a really fun hike.

Close to Boulder and some beautiful land forms. Easy to grab a beer after!

Pretty incredible set of trails right in town. Lots of places to go explore and the climbing looks mellow and fun too. Will definitely have to come back.

Terrific views and very good trails

This is a return visit for me from my original 2014 trip. The Flatirons have special memories for me as I associate my cousin, who passed a couple years ago from cancer, with these beautiful formations and surroundings.Im still not sure which Flatirons are the first ones, the second ones or the third ones. Its all beautiful and Im thankful that its free and clean and pretty well manicured for hikers. Thank you Boulder!

Wear climbing or approach shoes. Dont do this in Chacos or trainers.

Good trails, recommend stopping in Ranger office for recommendations on hikes. The Ski Jump trail (first right off the main drag) gets you on shade faster and is less crowded. Dog friendly. Rocky trails so make sure you wear appropriate footwear.

A good solid hike with easy access. Lots of options for varying levels for people and dogs.
