Nice little place. The water level is pretty low due to drought conditions. But did plenty of fishing here this summer and had a lot of good experiences. If fishing theres definitely blue fill, some small mouth, and Ive seen some little catfish playing at the top of the water.

Great park! My dog had tons of fun with your other dogs, lots of space to run! My only bother is that theres 2 parks and theyre allowing bikes and scooters in the dog park portion and my biggest fear is someones dog decides to chase a little girl on a scooter, creates an incident due to some dogs are reactive to things like that.

Beautiful park with huge trees and a large lake. 1 lake allows dogs to play free in the water and surrounding area. Another lake for leashed walks, walking or riding.

This is a great place to go for a short walk or to observe nature, but it was quite busy during the COVID-19 pandemic, and mask-wearing was limited. Families were playing together without masks. If you are at risk, or if you know someone at risk, you may want to stay away for now. Dogs love this place!

My dogs love it no open space dog tag needs. No leashes needed. The dogs can swim and run around the lake and by the end of it they are very tired.

This outdoor recreation area encompasses 2 reservoirs thus Twin Lakes, imagine that. Both have very wide dirt paths completely around their shores. One lakes perimeter is open and accessible by all. The other lake is an off leash dog area with a completely fenced perimeter. This is the largest and closest to being open nature for my dogs to run around loose. The NoBo trail and other local trails intersect with the lakes providing multiple access points. The dog park has 5 single gated entries (please be aware of other dogs while entering) and for smaller dogs there are 5 fence openings (8 by 18 opening in bottom of fence) to allow turtles to freely move. Each of these are marked. Otherwise, enjoy both wetlands and sandy shores while playing fetch into the water with your dogs or letting them run and explore a fully grown open space area.

Off-leash park is great. Doesnt get overly packed which is nice. The loop is fairly big, it took me about an hour to walk around it four times with my two dogs. I also love that everyone does a good job of picking up their own dogs poop. The loop was very clean. Highly suggest taking your dogs here, if they love water and you are in the area.

Has off leash and on leash areas which is nice. Only problem is that people still let their aggressive dogs off leash sometimes. Generally clean though and when the lake is full it can be beautiful.

This is a really great place to walk. Works well with wheelchairs and provides a lot of shady parts of the trail with the mature trees and plants. Street parking in the cul-de-sac & there is a port-a-potty on site. Dogs can swim here and folks can fish. Lots of turtles in the water and a great deal of wildlife. Right next to Avery brewery and Asher brewery. Well maintained overall and popular, but not overcrowded.

As a newfoundland’s caretaker, this park is incredible for the ability of my dog to swim. She loves it so much! It’s a beautiful place, family-friendly (I’ve brought my toddler; you just have to watch for aggressive dogs) and well-maintained. But I sort of hope it doesn’t get too popular, so maybe I shouldn’t recommend it...

The full loop around both lakes is less than 2 miles on dirt trails, with no elevation gain. Its a great walk for all ages with beautiful views of the mountains in the background and the lakes in the foreground. Dogs can go off leash (with or without a green tag) at the West Lake.

Nice local park centered around two lakes and adjacent forest. Great for a casual walk, jogging, bicycling, and walking your dog. One lake trail is a designated off leash area. A variety of wildlife can be observed in this area including the locally famous owl family. Snapping turtles, hawks, great blue heron, ducks, squirrels, and many small birds are frequently seen. There are also fish in the lake.

First lake is most used for dog walking and off leash pups that like to jump in the water or retrieve sticks. I went there to bird watch and realized it was more of an exercise run, walk, jog, dog place. I love dogs if I had one I would take it there. Dogs are allowed off leash so you need to be in voice control of your pups. Nicely fenced.Lake two, no dogs, you can circle both lakes by walking on path. We did see more birds on lake two.

Great place to take ones dog? The swimming lake is fenced in, has plenty of shade, and tons of spots for dogs to jump or walk in. It can get a tad muddy in spots depending on the number of dogs. There was a porta John at the entrance for those that stay hydrated. I wish they had a place to rinse of your dog like Chatfield park but that is a minor thing.

Da
Review №57

***WARNING*** Nice park for people, but there are at least three ways your dog can get out: two places under a fence and one place at the swamp. Add two stars if your dog wont try to get out. Subtract two stars if your dog may try to get out. Mine did.

Twin Lakes is located in an industrial and residential section of Boulder. As the name indicates, it has two water reservoirs. One of the Lakes is fenced so that people can bring their dogs so that they can take walks unleashed. It is a 10-15 minute walk around the lake but many people go around several times as their exercise. It has a few craft beer places around the lake, Avery Brewery to name one of them and a special destination after the walk, perhaps with your animal companion.
