One of the best collections of American racing history I have seen. From survivors to fully restored cars...from classic to modern they have it all. If youre in Boulder, enthusiastic about cars and have a couple of hours to kill, this location is a must.

I truly enjoyed my visit. The cars can stand in their own but the friendliness and knowledge of the owner and staff really round out a great experience.I really appreciated the time Steve took with me to explain the significance of many of the cars on hand that day. The importance of what the cars here accomplished in racing is difficult to overstate. Having the chance to admire and take in the genuine articles was like being at an art display of original works by someone who knew the artist.Keep up the great work! I look forward to visiting again.

Absolutely incredible collection of Shelby Cobras and GT40s. I remember seeing some of these cars in the 60s when my father worked for Ford and was a friend of Mr Shelby. Im totally blown away.

Although this place is only open one day a week, its completely worth visiting. Such an incredible collection of Shelby cars, and other artifacts and pieces. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Youll probably spend an hour here or so. Worth the trip!

Great exhibit of historic race cars and memorabilia....the display changes with different cars from time to time.The entry fee is almost free ($5.00) and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.Theres alot to see and its for the whole family...I even saw a friendly golden retriever during my visit ! If you get a chance....check it out !

I just took my grandfather down to this museum and he said it was one of the best museums hes ever been too. A wonderful experience that makes a mark on a lifetime and Im glad I could share the experience with him.

This museum is insane. It’s a fairly small museum - everything fits into one large “room.” However, the collection is shockingly amazing. I’ve never seen so many Shelby Cobras and and GT40s in my life. I think we counted nine GT40s, including some really important, historical race cars like Ken Miles’s GT40 (featured in the “Ford vs Ferrari” movie). The most is ever seen in one place prior to this - including at the Henry Ford Museum - was one. If you’re into race history, cars, Ford, or just gorgeous machinery, I’d highly recommend this museum. For $5 per person, it’s an amazing deal.

I had no idea what was in store for us when we made a quick decision to stop in to have a look see. We stepped in to the marrow of our greatest automotive racing history. This place, a shrine to Mr Shelby and Ken Miles and so many others, that created and defined what all aspects of racing would be. Thank you Steve Volk for blessing us with a great day! I was not a huge Shelby fan before but the visit to this place definitely moved the needle for me. Wow what a collection in this compact space utilized to perfection. Super friendly people working there plus one golden retriever greeting each and every person. Big win!

If youre a car fan this is a must. $5 to get in which is nothing for the caliber of cars in this collection. Sure theyre open on specific times on Saturdays only, but still. What you get for it is amazing, the volunteers are also very nice.

Best collection of early Shelby racing cars in the world. Most people will never see a GT40 Mk IV in their lives and they have two. Unbelievable experience. The owner is a wealth of information and incredible to talk to. Can spend hours there.

So many amazing historical machines. The staff there was so passionate and knowledgeable and had so many great stories to share!! We will go back many times!

Greatest collection of Shelby vehicles anywhere!

Took my 10 year old son. Great collection of beautiful cars. The woman who was on staff was super friendly. There was also a lot of historical information about the cars and recessed etc. I’m personally not a car person but this was fun and interesting. My son loved it.

A beautiful Shelby collection and old interviews playing on TV with Henry Ford, Enzo Ferrari and Carroll Shelby. Several races playing on TV as well. Worth driving to and picking up a Shelby Tshirt

This is a must see Museum for fans of Shelby, Ford vs Ferrari or racing in general. They have some rare cars and for the price you cant beat it.

Certainly, the most unique, and likely the most important Shelby collection in world! All of the cars in the collection are one of a kind, including the only Mustang 66 GT350S ever built. Dont miss this place when you are in the Boulder area.

This is great gem of a museum. Even if you arent into cars and racing it fun to look around and read stories about some beautiful cars and articles of racing history. The staff is great and they are truly passionate about the museum. They will answer any questions. The price is a steal at $5.

A small place stuff with great rides. The perfect spot for a lazy day tour with drinks and dinner before or after.

A beautiful collection of authentic racing memorabilia. Most of the cars in the collection have rich race history, with some still being raced in vintage series. For $5, it was worth a quick detour. I estimate 1 hour to view the collection. Watch out for their guard dog, George!

My husband and I visited today. It is truly a Colorado secret. It is amazing. I loved it. Staff is knowledgeable, answered questions, very friendly. Talked with us a bit. Very clean and well kept. So much to see. Very much worth going.

When my wife said that we were going to take her Dad to a car museum, I didnt expect I would enjoy myself as much as I did. The cars are beautiful and the history of them is just as interesting. I am more utilitarian than passionate when it comes to the automotive industry, but the passion on display here is infectious.

Great value for money. Struck a conversation with the owner who answered all of my questions and provided interesting background info on several of the cars, including the only prototype 1966 supercharged Mustang.

This is the best collection of Shelbys history. From cars to memorabilia. I have been coming to the annual party since my first visit in 1997. This is a first class facility as well as the most knowledgeable group of people who own and run the museum. Thank you Steve Volk ,Bill Murray and everyone else that makes this possible. Motorheads of America Rejoice this is your Mecca!!! Im not one of your typical rabid car fans, my buddy dragged me here. I have to say the collection of AC cobras was very impressive. Museum is only open on Saturdays and for limited hours. The historical documentation in photos is quite impressive

The show of cars is always good, but food this year was not as good as previous years. Everything was spicy so no option for mild tastes.

A treasure. Lots of Le Mans iron with many pedigrees. Enjoyed it allot.

Great place

About 40 historical race cars that contributed to the Carrol Shelby Automotive Racing success story of the late 50s and 60s. Only open on Saturdays due to its nonprofit status but well worth a planned effort to see these amazing historical racing machines. Very friendly staff. Building is accessible and bathrooms are as well.

If you love cars, Shelby showed the world how to win in American style. I love the spirit and this museum is so valuable. One has to respect Ford and Shelby. They make us proud....

Even if youre not a car enthusiast, you wont regret checking this place out. These machines are works of art on the outside and beasts on the inside.

A great place for the true car nut. if you like Shelbys, this is the place to go. its not large, but some rare, historically important Cobras, GT40s and GT350s are there.

If you have children, stay away from this place. Because your children are not as expensive as their cars! Our son did not break any rules there. But the man still came to us, emphasizing that their cars were “pretty expensive “, and asking us to control our son. I agree with all the words he said and understand the reasons. But the attitude is not acceptable. Very cold, very unfriendly and very uncaring! You know what? We actually know that the cars are expensive. That’s the reason we went there. But don’t you think you should know that kids are valuable too? Show some respect. It was such a disappointing experience. Just remember: it’s a kids unfriendly place!
