I had great experience this past weekend on 10/17/2020. the pilot was great and pointed out great spots to see.

Never been on a helicopter before, took the night tour over Las Vegas. It was awesome! One of the best birthday surprises I’ve ever had! The pilot explains everything very well!

Keep in mind rafting not guaranteed m they do not raft in winter? Kayaking is offered. whats not mentioned...if you are over 250 pounds you but buy an additional seat for an additional $299 for each person. Even if you are six feet two. Not recommended

He was beyond knowledgeable about the history of each portion of the tour and I cannot express how well he engaged each passenger during our tour, including our 4 and 9 year old sons. His jokes and impressions were hilarious, and he was able to answer every question asked, from geological ones, to those about the native Americans. Be ready to spend $350-$400 for an hour of ride. But it is definitely worth every single penny. We took the ride over the Hoover Dam then towards the Grand canyon West Rim and over Lake Mead. It was simply amazing. Who can complain about a bird’s view of these nature’s wonders. Though you might start feeling a bit nauseous at a point specially if the sun is shining bright. The pilot was very informative. He narrated about the formations of the grand canyon, importance of Colorado river and shared many other info.

Recommend. We had an early flight but delayed due to Fog. We were kept up to date with progress and possible timing to go on our tour. Had a few conversations with the team which filled in time. We didnt mind the delay and glad to get out when the fog lifted, The view was fantastic and so glad we took the helicopter ride instead of driving.

Gehrig was the best pilot we could ask for- He was so knowledgeable about absolutely everything...anyone can tell you about fun facts, BUT it’s more so on HOW its presented that makes it an experience. I wish I could put more than 5 stars! This was my first time going on a helicopter and I could not have asked for a better experience. I would 10/10 recommend experiencing a helicopter ride here with Gehrig.

I went on the Grand Canyon tour because I am only in town for a couple of days and didnt have time to drive out. I had never ridden in a helicopter before and this exceeded my expectations. 5 Star Helicopter Tours lived up to its name! Friendly & professional staff greet you upon arrival, offer beverages, and make sure you see the safety information video. Pilot was friendly and had a pleasant commentary about the landscape throughout the trip. Fantastic views -- you will get awesome pictures from this trip! I would definitely do something like this again and I highly recommend!

Such a great experience. The shuttle pick up was a bit messed up as Debbie got 2 of the pick up locations wrong. Once we got to the airport it was all business. Professionalism at its best. Pilot was knowledgeable about the area. Adding a few interesting nuggets of information. Would have been nicer to get closer to the Hoover Dam. The Canyon from the air was spectacular. Interesting stop over at a off shop. All in all was a great Vagas experience. Lots of photo opts. Pricey but if never been to Vagas a must do.

What an amazing experience!! Been to Vegas so many times and finally seen the Grand canyon and hover dam. Friendly staff and helicopter pilot Jimmy Long was a great.

Our pilot Austin was amazing! We had the best tour and enjoyed every minute! This is a must-do if you are in Las Vegas.You will get picked up and dropped off at your hotel - the whole excursion only takes 4 hours door to door. Can’t wait to come back with my husband!

I was SO nervous to do this excursion......and I was beyond glad that we chose 5 Star and got Jimmy as our pilot. Jimmy was so nice and we had thee best time with him. Jimmy suggested to our group that we go to Guano Point To see the Grand Canyon, which was such an amazing place to view from. Jimmy was right there with us, exploring the canyon and taking pics for us. He went above and beyond. The entire experience was great. The shuttle picked us up at our resort right at the scheduled time....everything went so smoothly. My Husband Al and I really enjoyed this tour and agree that it is worth every penny!

This was advertised as a “Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour with Landing, West Rim - 70 Minutes” but this is grossly misleading.Pick up was almost 2 hours before the flight and once we got to the airport there was over an hour waiting around before we took off.The helicopter takes off from Boulder City and it takes 30 minutes to get to the edge of the Grand Canyon (they don’t tell you that part). Add another 30 minutes for the return flight - and that only leaves 10 minutes to see the actual Canyon - which is virtually nothing really before a 35-40 minute landing at a gift shop, food store and restroom. This is totally unnecessary. We would have preferred this time to have been flying further over the Canyon.This was very disappointing ~ especially as it cost so much money for virtually 10 minutes viewing of the Grand Canyon Also the helicopter was extremely cramped with 6 people - the four of us in the back were not small people and it was like sardines in a can. This made the task of taking photos almost impossible, not to mention the glare from the glass windows as the sun was shining on them.This was a “sunset” tour, which you would think would be fabulous, however we were not over the canyon at sunset, but flying back to Boulder City - flying straight into the sun which made photo taking difficult with the sun straight onto the lens.The pilot Brandon did a great job flying and giving commentary, however the other 5 passengers were all Russian and only 1 spoke English so I spent the entire flight listening to Russian translation through the headset - most annoying.All in all I think I would have been better spending my money on a day tour via bus - my friends did this and they had a fabulous time and got so many magnificent photos of the Canyon

Done this tour today was really worried that it wouldnt be worth the 419 dollars I paid. Firstly the service to and from the airport was brilliant. Then our pilot Matt Shawver was excellent at his job. Kept everyone entertained and was very insightful and told us all about the canyon as we flew over it. I would definatly recommend doing this tour its worth every dollar.

One of the best experiences i ever had!I booked the package through Expedia and contact 5 Stars, they were extremely helpful and responsive, everything went very smooth from picking us up from the hotel, arranging the ride, preparing our Dinner in Brazilian restaurant. Highly recommended.

Booked for all 6 of our family. Confirmed night before and told us 6 am pickup at hotel. We woke all the kids at 5 am, got outside. No calls and no shuttle. We called them twice and only explanation was the helicopters are shut down today. Incredibly disappointing. No call back still with an explanation. No one tried to help us out and get us a different flight or even explain why we couldn’t go. As bad experience as could be.

We booked this helicopter experience for joint birthday celebration for 5 family members.The whole package from start to finish was as the company is called was 5star.Our pilot gehrig was fantastic put us all at ease and made the whole trip very memorable. Would 100% recommend it

Just say “NO” to 5 Star tour company.Having been on several small helicopter and airplane flights, we were disappointed by the way 5-Star tours packed people in, the lack of visibility for photography, and the disorganization of the office. We can only surmise that the positive ratings for this tour were first-time fliers who were rating the awesome experience of being airborne vs. the service provided by this tour company.From the time the reservations were made over the phone until the tour two days later, we received more than 10 communications from the office - oops, we confirmed you on the wrong tour, oops, the time changed, oops the time changed again, oops, we spelled your name wrong, etc.The shuttle bus was so tight it was hard to get your body between the seats when boarding/de-boarding. The aisle in the shuttle bus was literally not more than 12 wide from arm rest to arm rest and with people’s bodies spilling out over the seats, it was very uncomfortable.The helicopter also had extremely skinny seats -- two plus the pilot in front and four seats jammed across the back. Seating was determined by weight. The larger couple in the middle two back seats were clearly uncomfortable the entire trip.There was not enough room to bring up a camera between your head and the window and there were cross braces, obstructions and reflections on the window glass everywhere you looked. On the other flights weve taken, a cloth glare guard was placed so that the windows were clear without reflections.While the pilot did a decent job of talking about facts of the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, etc. and the views we could see with our eyes were good, not being able to take photos without doing a tremendous amount of post-production photo-shopping to get the glare items, etc. out, just wasnt worth it.5-Star charged more than $1,000 total for three of us to be sandwiched in on both the shuttle bus and helicopter for 3.5 miserable hours of this “express” tour.

Tour Pilot said it was his first flight in the helicopter and that he wasnt familiar with the helicopter. Pilot did not fly in a way for the passengers to see the Hoover Dam and the bypass bridge. Pilot did not point out features in a timely fashion and did not seem very familiar with the area. Pilot wouldnt let passenger take photos from the camera windows. He said the sound makes him nervous even though he knew it was from the camera window- which are on all of the doors. Our family does not recomend.

Booked a flight for my girlfriend and her 2 friends. But because I wasnt there Brenda called me immediately to inform me I had to pay through PayPal as a gift because I wouldnt be there to sign and we got it all sorted out. Very pleasant to work with. Very professional.

I did the Grand Canyon and Valley of Fire Helicopter Champagne Landing tour and surprised my girlfriend with this tour. I called to book the tour and told them I was planning on proposing to my girlfriend, the ladies that I talked to were all extremely friendly and helped me with any questions I had to make the day as special as possible for my girlfriend and I. They made a note for the pilot in the system so pilot knew exactly what was going on and even took a video and some pictures for us when we landed in the Valley of Fire for my proposal. The pilot was amazing and full of knowledge and told us all the historical facts of the areas as we flew over them and even looked for wild horses and pointed them out for us to see and angled the helicopter for the best visibility of them. There is simply not enough good things I can say about 5 Star Helicopter Tours! They made the day unforgettable and very special for my fiancée and I. Anytime I’m back in Vegas and want to go on another helicopter tour I will 100% without a doubt book with them again. Thank you all who helped me out with my surprise that went off without a hitch, it was perfect!

I’ve always wanted to ride a helicopter, it was on my bucket list. This company made the experience worth it. Alex is a great pilot who makes sure that everyone is safe. He takes care of his passengers. During the tour he took the time to tell us about the river, canyon and the history behind it. Alex is friendly and professional.

My experience with 5 star was very pleasant. They were very attentive to our needs. My pilot Jimmy was very professional and fun. He provided good information throughout the flight. He warned us for potential turbulence. I didnt catch the name of our driver. He was very sensitive to the fact that we need to make back to Vegas in time for a concert. Overall, Im very pleased with the service.

We took the grand canyon excursion with Kyle as our pilot. It was so worth it! From the time we made our reservations, throughout the sign in process, everyone was so professional and helpful. Kyle our pilot was great. Thank you to all for such a great experience. And remember to laugh at Kyles jokes.

My wife decided to throw me a surprise 50th birthday helicopter ride and it was a blast. Naomi, our pilot was bad to the bone and a great tour guide. Hard to believe we were travelling so fast, it barely seemed that we were moving. It was a great experience from the bus drivers, to the staff behind the counter, to Naomi our pilot!

I took the tour today. We had a great time. Our pilot was Jimmy who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining. He provided a relaxed environment as he entertained us with stories about the landscape including the bat caves, Meadview town, the dormant volcano, and native American histories. The flight was 70 minutes long which was just the right amount of flying time. I would highly recommend this tour.

Im giving 2 stars because the pilot was friendly, and we were safe, but I wish I had chosen an alternate tour company. For the tour we paid for, they offered 2 times to pick from. A week in advance, we reserved the earliest time we could, to ensure we could make another event afterward. The day before the flight, we got a call asking us to push our tour back by 4 hours, because early morning weather wasnt looking good for the next day. We understood, so we worked hard to re-arranging our previous plans. The next morning, (and the day of the tour), 2 hours before the time they told us to arrive, they started texting us to get there ASAP or they we have to leave us behind. When we told them that was unreasonable because this tour had been rescheduled twice at their request, and we had other things we needed to do before coming (rent a car), they told us that they could wait a bit , but not long. We had to rush to get there just to not lose the $750 we paid for the tour, and missed another event we had planned because of it. There was no apology, any refund/discount offered, and they were actually snippy on the text conversation. Dont use them, unless you have 2 days open for them to just pick whatever flight time they want.

We called at the last minute and the sweet and knowledgeable ladies got us right in. Our pilot was amazing. This should be the main point of interest of everyone’s vacation.

Worth every penny. Absolutely fabulous experience. We took the West Rim Tour. Picked up from our hotel on the strip in Vegas and returned there after the flight. Matt was our pilot. What a guy. He made the tour so interesting by telling us a lot about the area as we went, but mixed with a bit of humour. When we returned we were offered complimentary drinks, including champagne. Would thoroughly recommend using this company

Pickup was right on time and driver was great!There were 3 couples so the helicopter was pretty crowded but the pilot made sure to give everyone a good view of the major landmarks.Pilot was fun and informative and made for a great guide!We would definitely recommend 5 Star to anyone interested in a great tour of the Grand Canyon and surrounding area!

The wait time was extremely too long. We waited 3 hours and was the last ones to go. The girl at the front desk said they try to have to wait to equal for everybody. Well it most definitely wasn’t equal. Everybody we rode on the shuttle with went and left way before we did. She also said she would get us in the front for waiting so long. Then when its finally our turn she comes over and say she couldn’t get us in the front. The ride was not worth the wait.

It was an awesome experience. It was picked up on a large air conditioned van and then they drive us to Boulder City where the helicopters are. Then they take your Id and collect payment. After that, they put you in the helicopter and take off. Our pilot Travis did an awesome job of telling us everything about the area while he was flying. After it was done we picked up our pictures and video. Well worth the money.

We had a great pilot/tour guide, Jimmy. He was fun and entertaining. Flight time was about 60-75 minutes. Definitely recommend it we loved it!

This is an absolute must if your visiting Vegas. Our helicopter ride was amazing! Holly was our pilot and she was awesome. She was funny and knowledgeable. We could not have asked for a better experience and flight. The early flight was great because it wasn’t hot yet. After our flight we went on to the river tour. This was equally as amazing and we received a different experience from the water of the Colorado river. Great views of the Hoover Dam and lots of history. We had an amazing day. Would truly recommend this experience to anyone!!

The rating for this Grand Canyon tour company is in the name, 5 Stars! The facilities and helicopter were what you’d expect from a world class tour company. The pilot Thomas flew in a safe and controlled style that made the ride very smooth and enjoyable. He also shared a wealth of information and history of the Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon and the surrounding areas. We were all surprised with a layer of snow, in some of the higher regions of the flight, which this time of the year can bring to the experience. I’m happy and satisfied 5 Star Helicopters was my first ride through the Grand Canyon and I’m planning to experience it with friends and family again as soon as possible!

THE ONLY WAY to view the Las Vegas strip! Me, my wife, daughter and her best friend booked the night tour over the Vegas Strip and let me say that it was worth EVERY penny. First off the facilities were clean and comfortable and EVERYONE from the staff (Melanie to Olivia), the ground crew to the pilot treated us with 1st class respect and service. The ride itself had us all grinning from ear to ear and I know some reviewers say the ride was too short, face it people youre in a helicopter above the strip with a viewpoint thats 2nd to none with a group of select friends, it doesnt get better than that! Excellent service, great deal and we will be using 5 Star Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours again asap!

We came over to Las Vegas from Australia, and Alex made our flight to the Grand Canyon the most enjoyable experience. He was super entertaining, funny, courteous, professional and humble. He was punctual also, and this is a very important trait because people tend to rely on good timing when booking these types of things. Alex also gave us some information on tourist types of activities to do whilst we stayed in Vegas. The company picked us up from our hotel right on time, and dropped us back at our hotel within 5 minutes of the time they advised they would. In my opinion, this company delivered a 5 star service, and gives good credit to their brand name. The flight itself was smooth, and easy to get used to considering it was my first time riding in a helicopter. We got to fly into the actual canyon for a bit also, which was an experience that can only be understood by doing. Alex was the real star here, and although the company had fantastic service, and was all very courteous and polite, I really want to focus this feedback to our fantastic pilot, Alex. I got called from another company about 20 minutes before we were gonna get picked up. Saying they were canceling our appointment because of “high winds”. We called around and 5 Star said they weren’t canceling so we made an appointment with them.They saved the day! Super friendly staff they picked us up and everything went as planned. They had drinks available and restrooms. Our pilot Jimmy was fantastic and super friendly. Our flight was great and we didn’t have any issues with “high winds.” Great time don’t waste your money elsewhere.

Whoo!!! We rode with Captain Naomi, she was a blast! Full of humour, knowledge, and all around great personality! There was no downside about this trip, I highly recommend and plan to take family back!

This was an amazing experience. On my bucket list was seeing the Grand Canyon. On our recent trip to Las Vegas, my husband booked a morning helicopter flight. The previous day to our scheduled flight, they called with an offer to upgrade to a sunset flight with a landing on a plateau in the Valley of Fire. We jumped at the opportunity and Im so glad we did. This was the best time of day to see the Canyon and our Captain Tom was an awesome pilot with a wealth of knowledge on the history and geography of the area. The champagne stop was the icing on the cake. The Valley of Fire is truly breathtaking and I would recommend this trip to anyone who is looking at taking this ride. This was the highlight of this Vegas trip for me! And anyone with a fear of riding in the helicopter, Captain Toms landings were as soft as stepping off an escalator. Thanks so much for the amazing experience.

I would not recommendHorrible trip! We were seated on the right hand side and weren’t able to see anything on the strip, but had to pay the same as everyone else. The limo ride to pick us up was 15 min late and our flight was suppose to leave at 8:30, but we didn’t leave until 9:30 and it was only about 10 minutes long in the air. Then we had to wait for a long time to get a ride back to the hotel.

Me and my family went on a helicopter tour with 5 Star, and what an amazing tour this was. Truly astonishing! We got to see the Hoover dam, Lake Mead and other historical sightings, but the highlight of the trip was the amazing view of Grand Canyon from the air. A sighting that probably never can be experienced in a different way. Also would like to give the best compliments to our pilot Elijah who we really felt was doing his job very professionally. Giving tour and guiding, flying and at the same time talking to other aircrafts while answering to our questions is just amazing. Well done Elijah and 5 Star!

My sister and I went on the helicopter ride 60 mins and the 3 hour raft ride down Colorado river black canyon. We had a great time and would recommend you get well looked after and plenty of drinks. A light lunch was also provided. I really need to have some breakfast despite the early pick up. Tyler our pilot was excellent and made jokes. I am scared of heights but luckily there was no wind it was very calm. Scott our raft pilot was also excellent and very friendly and both very knowledgeable.

My daughter and I were the first to be picked up at our hotel by the friendliest, most knowledgeable Vegas guy! After getting other guests the driver was told helicopter co. Was running an HOUR behind! ALOT of money paid to be running an hour behind. Our driver offered to take us to Hoover Damn which he knew all about to kill time. Drove to 5Star after and waited an hour to board helicopter. We just landed from NJ 10:30, picked up by 5Star at 12:15, had 2:15 helicopter tour. Great experience, had different driver on way back, took roundabout way, last to get dropped off, didnt get back to hotel til 6:30. Entire first afternoon in Vegas wasted because they ran behind...$600+ later!

Alex and the rest of the crew really were 5 star. This was my second canyon flight and the best by far. I appreciate a pilot who knows their stuff but is fun to fly with and the ground crew were super courteous.

Great experience for family trips! We saw the Hoover’s dam & Grand Canyon. The pilot is super funny and explains everything you see. Suggest if you want to have a helicopter tour of Grand Canyon

The whole experience was GREAT!!!! -- BESIDES the driver on the way home was - by far - the most awkward person we met on our entire stay in Vegas. From getting us excited about shows that no longer exist, to recommending chain restaurants that every small town has - to making sure everyone had a consensus on questions like do you like chocolate?. The 12 people in the van quickly agreed that we should stop answering Mark so he might get discouraged and shut up. Our day was great but ended up really weird.

I had adventure of a lifetime. Pilot is extremely helpful and knowledgeable.Views over hoover dam and tour of Grand Canyon were amazing.I would highly recommend flying with 5 Star.

One of the greatest experiences i had on the Las Vegas trip. The tour was great and you have some idea of he scale of Lake Mead, the Hoover dam and the Grand Canyon. Great view of Vegas in the distance. Took nice photos and I made a great video of the experience.

Captain Mike was great! He gave us a great narrative tour. Felt very safe in his hands. We enjoyed it extremely from the time we arrived in hanger till we left. The whole staff was very professional. The float trip was amazing as well. Our tour guide was very informative and answered every ones questions. I cant remember his name but he was a retired principle and we enjoyed his commentary very much. I would recommend this tour to every one I see. Great Job!!!

Such a smooth ride, beautiful views, pleasant pilot. It was a little tight up front, but maybe that was my 230 weight. Wish I would have done the one that included skyway walk. But a very good experience. Thanks

This company is aptly named. From the beautiful facilities to the most comfortable helicopter. We took an evening tour around Las Vegas, the pilot was great and pointed out sites one would never see from the ground. It was truly a 5 Star Experience. We recommend them always.

My husband and I did a tour of Las Vegas. Upon making the reservations everything seemed professional and looking at the previous reviews it seemed as tho we would receive the same courtesy in person. I for 1 didn’t like the desk girl vibe or attitude. She was very short with how she spoke , no smile no anything . As she told me to stand on the scale to check my weight I touched the counter and she gave me a look and sternly said do not lean in the counter . I honestly wasn’t leaning but it was obvious she must have needed a break or new job bc her customer service SUCKS! She then told us to go watch a video on safety in the other room but I noticed we were the only 2 ppl she told that too. Once we came out and sat in the lobby other ppl ( non colored ) asked us what was in the room , my husband told them a safety video. The guy immediately said we didn’t have to watch that lol so y they made y’all watch it. Now I’m all for safety of course I wanna know the safest way of flying but my husband and self been on numerous rides but the way she said it seemed mandatory and not optional. Anyways our flight time was suppose to b 7 pm after signing in ,taking a pic and watching a video all which took 20 min we sat in the lobby for an hour and 15 minutes before we even boarded . Ok so now its flight time !!! First off the packed up in a helicopter with 2 other couples which was definitely OVERPACKED. It became hot and I felt like I was in a sardine can. It was very uncomfortable. I’m a tall slim woman and I was completely squished. I couldn’t lean forward , couldn’t take video now pics with making the other ppl near me more uncomfortable. So now I have just the memory of it all no beautiful pics to remember the least I would have wanted were pics or video to compensate the overall experience. Now as I started the other helicopter rides I’ve gone was nothing compared to this SARDINE CAN ride . The pilot also pretends to drive into the Stratosphere Hotel then swerved the helicopter almost on its side.COMPLETELY DISASTEROUS !!!!!! You get what you pay for ! Descent priced tour for and uncomfortable 15 min ride. Next time I’ll choose the other company MAVERICK. It’s a tad bit more but wayyyyy better reviews and I’m sure a much better time !

Absolutely 5 Stars All Around!!We booked our wedding for the Grand Canyon Helicopter Flight & Sunset Valley of Fire Landing and it was the most unbelievable day we have ever had!Laila the wedding co-ordinator and officiant was amazing! She came in the limo to greet us and had everything organized and ready to go including the photographer, bouquets, boutonnières, cake, champagne and her service for the wedding was perfect!Our pilot, Travis was super, so knowledgeable of the area, friendly and so funny.Our photographer, Georgetta was awesome, we received our photos and every one of them were like pics from a magazine! The limo driver was great very helpful and willing to drop us off at the restaurant where we had our dinner booked instead of our hotel.We really can’t say enough about this whole company, and everyone that works here, they truly live up to their name!WAY TO GO 5 STAR!!!!!Norm & Julie Lazzarotto

Highly Recommend the Grand Canyon heli tour when in Vegas. Only way to see this wonder and still get a full day in LV. Our guide Travis was entertaining and informative. He knew the GC and surrounding area very well. Reason why 4 stars and not 5? 6 adult guests in one heli is a little cramped. 5 would have been better for comfort.
