The view from up there is amazing on a day with good long-range visibility. Definitely a must see when visiting the campus.

Contributed by Berkeley students, completed 1917 with $144,000 - this tower is one of must go tours attraction in UBC. Cost $4 to go up, get nice view of Berkeley downtown. I wish it had option to claim though- it is elevator all way up. Worth the visit. Need 15 min on the top as it is quite small.

Beautiful spot, shady or sunny if you want it. Uphill climb makes running to it fun.

It cost you 3 dollars to go up.(I remember it did.) Cal1card will let you pass freely. Try it. The scenery wont disappoint you anyway.

Nice building but this is not one of the most interesting towers Ive seen. If youre in the area anyway it could be nice to spend there half an hour.

Beautiful views of the city, but can be a letdown when its foggy. Ought to be perfect on a clear day. Costs $4 to go up though, but worth the money. Wear a light jacket if u cant take the wind up top.

One of the best views of the bay area you can get! At the time of writing, its only $3 for an adult ticket to the top (or free if youre a student). Highly recommend on a clear day, you can see all of the Berkeley hills, Bay Bridge, even the Golden Gate. Come around noon and youll catch the carillon bells playing.

Beautiful. Come up on a clear day (when you can see the Golden Gate across the Bay to the west of the the tower steps) for views of Downtown Oakland, San Francisco, the Berkeley campus, and the Golden Gate. Mind the time, because the bells are really loud! Free admission for students.

What Cal grad would consider giving the campanile any less than five stars.? It is full of history , mechanically fascinating, musically enjoyable, and has a unique view of the Bay Area. it is a must do for tourists who visit the Cal campus!

When I went to UC Berkeley for Model United Nations, The Campanile made everything more worthwhile.

The Campanile is a magical place. The views are incredibly stunning and the staff is more than helpful and courteous. This place is a MUST for just a few dollars. The Campanile really shines when you go for the noon music. A professional carillonist plays the tower bells to a classic tune. While its incredibly loud at the top, its not too loud to enjoy the music and view.

Probably best to visit on a clear day, but its still an awesome spot when the fog is rolling thru the Golden Gate. Great vista for all of Berkeley, as well as the greater East Bay. So cheap for a great 360 view.

Free if you have a SID,th you have to check your bags at the door. Offers great views! The bells ring every hour so watch out for the loudness if youre up in the viewing room at the time! Berkeley students, there IS a class you can take to play the bells!

Definitely worth a visit. Fantastic view of Berkeley and the entire Bay.

Its a nice view up here - I dont think its worth paying the entrance fee to go up however. No stairs to really feel the experience of going up a tower, only an elevator.
