This park has a lot of beautiful space with lush green grass. In non-pandemic times, its play structures are unique and exciting. The diversity of plants and landscape makes it a great place for imaginative play for young kids. I have many fond memories of climbing trees there as a child. Ohlone park also boasts an extensive dog park and a small dog park. I recommend hanging out nearby to watch the dogs play :)

Ohlone is a great park for taking a walk. It offers seperate small dog and large dog fenced areas as well as other areas for children, teens and adults to exercise. Ohlone is blocks long and runs from Martin Luther King, Jr Way to Sacramento in Berkeley. There are plenty of grassy areas for spreading a blanket and spending time with friends or lived ones.

Large park close to downtown with plenty of green grass, dog parks, children’s playgrounds, exercise equipment, and long meandering paths to walk or jog.

Nice large, grassy park in the middle of Berkeley. Multiple paygrounds, basketball, baseball/game field, climbing structure/sculpture, dog park.

This was my first time at Ohlone Park. There was a native gathering on Saturday and I was invited by very close people in my tribe to come out and support them as we always do. They are very famous native basket weavers know through out the native community. The park was small but the perfect place for this unique native gathering. They set up a area for the storytellers to tell their stories. And the people sat on hay bales while the natives told their stories. The park was the perfect area for this event.

Great place - fenced areas for large and for small dogs, as well as for kids and sport activities. Plus open places to play ball or any other fan games. Restrooms are available in two locations, water is available too, even in fenced areas for dogs. Saw people play big tennis here, football, taking pictures, having a picnic, doing yoga and much more. Parking is limited but you usually can find a spot for two hours.

A nice place to walkabout, bike ride, exercise, or just meditating. Its near North Berkeley BART Station. Can you dig it? #jimbozwalkabout

This is a nice little park and my dog enjoyed it! He did get hot though, so a kiddie pool would be a really nice addition to this otherwise great dog park. Waste bags and water are available. Theres free street parking right in front of the park.

Very good park with lush green campus...nice to walk around.

My besties pup loves to come here and play around. Its a great way to practice behavioural exercises and socialization with other dogs.

Wonderful route to Berkeley North Bart

Good place to take your dog off leash. Dog poop bags onsite. Lot of mindful, respectful, and courteous dog owners were present. Grounds were pretty well maintained, which is super nice to see.

This is a nice small park where the kids can have a good time as they have some nice playing grounds in there.

One of the better parks in the bay area. There arent so many homeless people at the Western side of the park near the North Berkeley Bart. The lights all work throughout the park and the running/walking trail is a nice addition. There is also a dog park located in the park boundaries as well.

Lots of happy kids, dogs and a community garden. Centrally located, Ohlone park is a great spot for impromptu picnics, throwing a frisbee around, or playing with your dog at the dog park.

90% of the people do not pick up after their dog, inside and outside of the dog park. So its a nice place to go if you like poo on your shoe.

Nice park with a grass area and playground. Usually a few homeless people are hanging around but the homeless in this area are harmless.

A nice scene to visit

This is a great dog park, they have a fenced in area for small dogs and big dogs. Both parks have shaded regions and a fountain for humans and dogs. One thing to note though is that the small dog park has a key pad which is confusing because you dont need a combination to enter you just need to push the door open.

Nice park but be careful some dogs can be aggressive and the homeless next to this park always want to cause a fight. It can be a quiet & a chill area at times. Be ware for this dog called “osito” he looks like a fake stuffed animal pretty cute but very aggressive and likes to bite and fight. Other than that nice people.

Basket ball court, kids playgrounds, concrete pad and lawn for activities are good for families and friends. A few homeless claiming home there might make some people uncomfortable but they are much tolerated. Public toilets need services more often as the usage rate is frequent. It worths 3.5 stars.

Great neighborhood park! Its pretty big and is always busy during nice days. Theres basketball courts, a dog park, playground, fitness area, and plenty of space to run around, have a picnic, or just enjoy the outdoors.

Nice place to relax after / before bart / bus ride. Basic seating and not much else. I like it though.

Wonderful fenced in dog park that is very well maintained. Great for big dogs and small dogs which have their own separate fenced in play areas.

Had a quick picnic here on the grass, which was lovely, nice place away from the hustle of Berkeley. Will be back for more peace when Im in the neighboorhood...

Park is next to Hearst street. No parking on park side. Often hard to park early or late in day. Grass closed after rains for repair. People sleeping in porta potties, might have to use bushesOther than that its basketball, soccer, and read/ sunbathing. Urban park...

A good park for a picnic, and the dog park is great. The rest of the park doesnt have much to offer, and the grassy areas drain very poorly so can be flooded even weeks after rain.

Wonderful park, there are always lovely people here. You can usually find people practicing some form of exercise or classes - theres a fencing class that meets at the West end regularly.

My fave place to walk around my house

Pretty sure it was the very first dog park in the world period. The one on which all others are based. I have been a fan since its inception.Have been there hundreds of times. It has the full unfailing support of both the neighborhood and the city. Double locking gates with a small area in between availiable hose and water bowls, its a large park,(of course the dog park down at the marina is much larger).There are picnic tables for the humans, a good place to meet people with similar taste to your own,and since this is about a park in Berkeley I dont care if people are offended by the fact that I mention you can even find a date there(been there,done that).

A great park...it once was...Today, little kids run on the field amongst heroin needles and homeless who spread their trash everywhere. In the kids mini parks, inside Ohlone...a man entered with his pants missing and smoking a crack pipe. Police can do little as the Mayor, City Council and Homeless Zealots allow this filthy behavior in a city that tries to look the other way out of kindness but gets this behavior in return....Oh, and yesterday, a homeless mans pitbull almost attacked a 3 yo tot ..near miss...There is a great dog park, but dog owners allow their dogs to roam, defecate and disturb a activites everywhere and fail to put their dogs on leashes...We spent so much money on a dog park and we still get this behavior.Muggings in broad day are common, sexual assaults and what not.. but dont tell the city...shhh..lets paint murals instead of increasing services and police patrol funding...My daughter was assaulted here while she jogged at 3pm...Police took a report and case closed; homeless man who attacked her and stole her fanny pack continues to be in the park. Ohlone.For reference, I live across the street and moved in I 1995....its getting worse and could be better.
