COVID-19 REVIEW: Drove up to the lookout around 5:30pm and was very pleased to be one of the few up there, parking lot was big and empty and made for a great photo opportunity. caution it can get very windy but other then that I would say this is a great alternative spot to come watch sunset or even have a picnic if you want to avoid the crowds at the Cadillac Mt overlook.

Stunning. Like the Grand Canyon, its difficult to capture in pictures. The grandeur and scope exceed the small lens, but perhaps not as much as the human eye. Get there an hour early for a spot in the morning for sunrise, sunset. Parking can be problematic. Late afternoon is generally good for parking.

Absolutely stunning viewpoint. Go there and have a picnic while watching the sunset. That’s what I did with my family and it was most definitely the highlight of our vacation. The views are incredible and there is plenty of space on the mountainside to lay out a blanket and sit down. I was quite surprised how beautiful it was watching the sun go down on the water with the beautiful greenery and archipelagoes. I would only recommend not to go when the weather is bad, it will still be beautiful, but not as nearly as amazing.

It gives an excellent view of the sunset - better than the Cadillac mountain. But it is not so popular. Probably because tourists tend to overlook this in favor of the higher mountain (Cadillac) since the parking is only a few minutes away.Nevertheless, you must arrive well in advance to get a parking spot and a front seat to the sunset view. You will not regret it!!

Best spot for sunsets and stargazing. The nights are beautiful here. A+ hands down!

This is an awesome overlook that will get you to almost the edge of Cadillac Mountain. Before you go up here, make sure you bring warmer clothes because it can be cold not only from the weather but the wind is usually very strong. Make sure you bring something to take photos, its a breath taking sight.

Absolutely the place to watch the sunset. There is a small parking lot here and it is best to reach here ahead of time. Suggest that you reach here about an hour before sunset. The place gets colder as the evening approaches. You can take picnic chairs or a mat with you and sit on it to watch the beautiful sunset. I used my iPhone to take a 40 minute time lapse pictures that compressed to about 30 seconds of video. The sunset was absolutely stunning from this point.
