Did the dorr mountain trail to the summit and was definitely exhausted by the end. Hundreds of steps to some very impressive look out points. Unfortunately the top of the trail isn’t a best view but would still highly recommend the trail if you’re looking for a challenge! All the stopping points along the trail are worth the climb.

This Path must have been an awesome achievement to create – hundreds possibly thousands of stone steps lead to the top of this mountain. It is not for the faint of heart. The views are very good and you can see most of Bar Harbor and the porcupine islands from the top. Moreover the ladder and parts of the trails are very narrow and it makes for an exciting and memorable hike! I would highly recommend this trail!

Really nice trail, we pulled off over on the side of the road on highway 3 and found the entrance just about 20-30 feet into the bushes. The way up was pretty exhausting with steep stairmaster - esque climbing. The way down was long going through South Dorr Mountain Trail. Overall, a great workout and a great view right between Cadillac Mountain and Champlaign Mountain.

The Homan trail is beautiful.

Great 1200+ hiking ascent via the ladder trail and descent along the Dorr south trail. Again, the National Park Service does excellent work here at Acadia. Think vacation adventure.

The hike to Champlain is much more intense than we originally thought. Tons of switchbacks. Awesome views though and for sure worth it

Yes, do this hike. Awesome steps that make you feel like youre climbing to find King Kong. Lots of unique alternate routes. Once you top Dorr, you can see all the chumps and smokers across the valley who decided to drive up Cadillac instead of hike (No disrespect to elders and disabled)
