I absolutely love this Melodrama! Their shows are always so entertaining and well done. My family and I have gone to their shows for years. 10/10 would recommend

Always fun and a great time for the whole family.

Visited four times so far, I believe. Ive thoroughly enjoyed every performance, and have been recommending it to family and friends. Great cast, great performances, great senses of humor! The actors are so nice after the show too, honestly a great bunch of people and a treat to see. Long live Gaslight Melodrama Theater!

Cant say enough. I have been to every show this year and none have disappointed. Always impressed by the talent, as well as, the fun to be had.

Lots of fun for the family. Beer, wine, snacks and sandwich foods. The performers knock themselves to put on a lively show. Excellent piano accompaniment throughout the show. Great entertainment spot for Bakersfield. Loved it!

The play my wife and I saw was top-notch, well produced and involving. It was obvious that all cast members were committed to making the theater really enjoyable for patrons. It was really fun. Everyone should go to these shows.

What a gem! My wife and I took our granddaughter to see the Christmas show. We were blown away from start to finish. We will be back often.

A Fun & Entertaining Place For The Family.

We took our migrant students to go see The Mermaid in Ming Lake. It was hilarious! The staff and students enjoyed our time there. It was a great way to end our Play unit. I loved it so much I went back the following week and saw it with my daughter. She loved it too!Today we are going back to see the Dracula show. We are so excited to spend our afternoon there. The actors are amazing!

Such a great group of people, that makes life exciting for a few hours.

Campy, talented, wholesome, family fun! If you have never been to a melodrama it is a unique experience. This is the place to ooh and ah the fair damsel, to cheer the hero, to boo the villain. A local production with good talent. The vaudeville after the main show is a ton of fun for birthdays and anniversaries. Dont come expecting a Tony performance, but be open to participating and having fun!

Talented cast providing fun family entertainment! Highly recommended.

What a wonderful break from digital everything. Drink beer and eat popcorn actually talk to strangers at surrounding tables interact with the cast everything live and no keyboards or passwords. Come, sit back and enjoy a great evening.

Loved the acting. Was a great show. Experience was ruined by the price and quality I received at the concessions. I totally expected to pay similar prices as, say, a movie theater, but did not expect to be served a try full of crumbs as nachos. If there is a next time, I will be sure to eat prior to the show. Additionally, the heat in the building, by the end of the show, was unbearable.

Always a good time here! Our family comes to the Christmas show every year as a tradition. Super fun, loud, and the audience can participate in the show.

Great local acting. Can be pricey, $25 a ticket . Snack bar prices are high easily spend $20 on 2 drinks and Snack. They do not take themselves seriously (tip in the snack bar to be serenaded) everyone works hard to please patrons.

The Gaslight Melodrama Theater is one worth visiting Repeatedly many times throughout the year! They have touched your emotions on so many levels, that you leave charmed and refreshed!I also enjoyed seeing families with kids attending, as it was refreshing and clean for all ages!I also believe that many, if not all, absolutely need to try out for The Voice As they will probably win! Well, thats my opinion and Im sticking to it!
