I enjoy taking my mom walking on the trail in the mornings. The trail is shaded, flat, and easy for her to walk on. It gets a bit crowded with other walkers and runners, so the earlier the better!

This park is AWESOME. Wish they had more underpasses on the playground so that parents and toddlers dont have to walk around the entire playscape to get to the other side. Merry go round is fun but is not underneath any type of shade :( Volleyball sand pit is also out in the sunlight as well.

The playscape has been updated since I went last year and it is so much fun now for my little family (2 adults and 2 kids under 6). The baby enjoyed the baby swing thats attached to a parent swing. Theres a cool jungle gym and even a ride somewhat similar to a large sit-and-spin with multiple seats large enough for big kids aka parents lol

Not a bad community park/pool. Great to know, as we enter the heat of summer, theres a local pool that we can dip into; no strings attached. This includes a kiddie pool. A pool geared more for kids/families. And then a large pool geared toward adults with lap lanes. They also have lifeguards who appear to be pretty well managed. No chairs - if you want to lay out in any way, its bring your own. But thats worth the (free) price. Will definitely go back.

Nice park. Looked to be under construction but I did appreciate the gates surrounding the play area. Secured gate prevents a curious child from becoming lost and or worse. Went for a companies yearly employee party. Previous year we were able to swim so this year we were able to prepare and bring swimming suit, towels etc. Soon after arriving we went to check it out and pool was closed til 5/31. It would have been great to jump in the pool as it was a very hot day with sun beaming down on us.

Je
Review №41

This park is a blast. Also if you have younger kids it is completely fenced in with a gate that is only adult accessible. The play equipment has been upgraded and seems to have something for everyone. Also there is a big volleyball court where are most of the kids also use as a big sandbox. There are portions of the volleyball area that is shaded. The rest unfortunately is in the sun. Theres also a little sea lion/ seal type thing that spurts water. Bring sand playing toys and youll have free hours of entertainment for all ages between the sand and the play equipment

Great space, but the gate seems unnecessary from the old set up (open space without black gate). The park is still great, but I see so many families struggle getting in and out of the gate. I dont believe security has an issue for kids there, but I guess its feeling a sense of security.

Great for kids and a nice little trail to run around or take your dogs, strollers, etc. I took my small dog for a short run here. Also, the trail will throw you onto the newer Violent Crown trail, which then becomes a solid 8 miles or so (what the regular visitors told me). I think its a lonely trail and dont love it but people do use it.

There are many things to love about this park. The playset is new and quite fun for the kids. The swings are shaded- thanks to the placement of articulators. Theres a wonderful volleyball court which doubles as a great sandbox when no one is playing a game. The kids can also play tennis, kick a ball around and/or play catch, climb trees, go swimming, and walk or ride along the wonderful trails. Last, but not least, there are picnic tables for nice snack/meal with family it friends.

Great park in South Austin. They have a volleyball court, playground area, a pair of tennis courts, a basket ball court, and a covered picnic area. There is a small biking/walking trail. Theres rarely a wait for the sports areas, and plenty of parking. Grassy areas are well kept.

This review is for Pokémon GO. Best place for catching Pokémon. There is a very large amount of pokéstops and you get constantly bombarded with pokémon. I recommend to spend 10 minutes or so catching pokemon up near that playground, and then go along the nature trail, with frequent pokestops because of workout equipment. Loop around that trail to the basketball court, and then finally, head back to the playground area. Works best with incense.

This is a great spot for just about any outdoor adventure! Its a very clean and well maintained park. The trails are paved and decently long and surrounded by trees which gives it a nice reserved feel with no light pollution. Theres a fairly large playground for kids to have some fun. There is also a large community pool if youre looking to cool off for a bit. If you want something a bit sportier, they have a large empty field for soccer and football along with some tennis and basketball courts. If you want to stray from the beaten path, you can follow some dirt trails that lead you across the street into a smaller park that has neat cave entrances you can check out. Also, there are some small workout stations along the trail for some calisthenics or bodyweight exercises. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you enjoy a shaded and brisk trail!

The newly covered portion is great to shield the kiddos from the hot sun, however I wish the same type of structure could be put up over the baby swings. I love the shaded picnic benches and the short trail. The basketball court needs repaving, but the tennis courts are pristine. This is a great all around park tucked in the south west Austin residential area.
