We took a kayak bat tour and had a great time! Live Love Paddle provided all equipment in good condition and excellent guide services. Dan our guide was knowledgeable of the area, had a good sense of humor, and gave us a lot of information about the bats. The paddle is easily manageable for all experience levels, and the bats are a really cool sight. Don’t forget to look around as you paddle to enjoy the relaxing views and various activities happening around the shore.Special shout out to Chuy for being the bestest boy and having the cutest face.

Live Love Paddle was great! The customer service was phenomenal and easy the location was easy to find. They were great with explaining how the process works. From what I understood, you have a choice between stand-up paddling, kayaking, or canoeing. Most importantly, the prices were not bad. (Prices will vary) but stand up paddling was only $20/ hour. This location will have you put in your water sport activity at the Colorado River. The sight is very clean. I had no worries. I would recommend this place to my very close friends and family.

Long wait. We got there on Sunday at opening (10:05 am) and there was already a long line. It took us an hour to check in and by that time there were only 10 SUPs left. When we left (12:15) the line was even longer with many people checked in waiting on available boards.Great service overall but experience would be better if they had two people checking in customers.TIP: get in line 15 min before opening

Live love paddle was an amazing experience . We took our boys for some paddling fun . The place was little tricky to find. After we parked it was a breeze. Well organized and super helpful staff . They were maintaining all social distancing requirements.Had a great time! Will definitely return soon ...

We enjoyed kayaking here. The prices are cheap, parking is free and the scenery is absolutely brilliant. The crew were polite and friendly.

The staff are really friendly and the location is nice with convenient parking. The pricing wasnt bad. Theyre doing their part to operate around the pandemic, though there were several people not wearing masks Im line and everyone seemed to be ignoring the circles on the ground to mark social distancing. I wasnt terribly excited about the 1-2hr wait, but once we were out on the water I forgot all about it.

I took the Urban Guided Tour with my 10 and 12 year old, where Gavin was our guide. We had an amazing time. The pace was not strenuous, and my kids were able to negotiate the lake. I did get one tandem and one single kayak so they could switch out halfway. The environment was clean and adhered to all local/ state guidelines regarding the mask mandate. We will be doing this again soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience for my family.

This was such an awesome experience. Being novice kayakers, our guide definitely eased our anxiety. Would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting a cool and relaxing outing in Austin !

Thoroughly enjoyed kayaking down the river with Austin city buildings in the background. This was the first time ever on a kayak and it was exhilarating. The staff were very informative and helpful in mounting and dismounting the kayak. They also had tandems and paddle boards. Fun for all ages. They supply everything you need for a good time. And it was inexpensive.

Planning a half-day kayak trip after a night of drinking probably wasnt the best idea, but what couldve been a disaster Live Love Paddle made an awesome adventure. From the second we sprinted into the shop (5-10 minutes late) the staff at LLP made us comfortable, allowed us time to pull ourselves together and provided suggestions that made our paddle awesome. Especially great was the fact our Urban Kayak group tour turned out to be private when no one else signed up. The shop is clean, well organized and had ample parking. They provide secure lockers and a changing room. One of the coolest features was the large state and world maps with pins placed by other customers. Our guide Gavin was knowledgeable, entertaining and accommodating. He went above and beyond, allowing us to help plan our tour based on our schedule (our flight home was later that afternoon), and even let us test out his SUP, which none of us had been on before or wouldve been brave enough to rent. Ive never been so impressed with a tour company and would highly recommend Live Love Paddle to anyone looking to explore Austin from the water!

I cannot recommend this place enough. They couldnt have made the kayak-renting process any easier for us. Parking was a little tight in front of the store, but there was a free parking garage right across the street. There is a short walk down to the dock with the paddles. The staff was unbelievably personable and fun to talk to. I was very anxious about getting in and out of the kayak on the dock and the employees made me feel at ease. We kayaked under the bridge towards the city which was an incredible way to see Austin for the first time. The price was great too. We paid just under $40 for two kayaks, two drinks, and the tip for the employees.

We had a blast doing the evening bat tour - our tour guide was knowledgeable, funny, and helped my kayaking game. Weve used this company several times in the past for SUPs and have always found their service to be great and prices fair.

Great place to rent a canoe or kayak for as little as an hour or all day. Friendly service and inexpensive rates, they take the time to make sure you understand and will be as safe as possible...the rest is up to you, of course. From this location you can paddle towards the city or go down toward the quiet countryside.

I can not say enough good things about this place. There are only a few parking spaces in front but if they are full just park for free in the garage a few doors down. The staff was great to us from the moment we walked in until we left. It is a short walk down a trail to get to the waters edge. The two employees down there were great. They got our kayaks in the water for us and helped us in. We kayaked up towards the city skyline. It was beautiful to be out on the water and see the skyline. We were out for about an hour and brought it back in. Again they helped us out of the water. Definitely check this place out for a day of kayaking.

Even during covid, I felt like this was run super smoothly, the employees made sure to enforce mask rules and the bat tour was such a cool experience. I would absolutley recommend having this excursion for anybody even residents. You can see the bats so much better from the water and when youre on a kayak you can go and view from any spot you want. The guide was also great and very knowledgeable about these specific bats. The bathroom and the lockers were available before and after the tour. (Side note: I lost my sunglasses, texted them about it and were quick to respond and they found them next day!) Great company.

Super friendly staff plus cute dog! The kayaks were clean and in good shape. They had every last-minute supply you could think of available at the shop for super cheap (sunscreen, water, dry bags, etc). Very smoothly run operation, and the water/scenery was lovely. Id definitely rent from these guys again.

If you’re visiting Austin you need to do a bat tour, and Live Love Paddle is the best way to do it to get the best view of the bats leaving their roost. The guides are fun and knowledgeable. You’ll stay reasonably dry in your kayak, but a bathing suit is still recommended. You can bring your phone as well, but it’s a risk (bring a waterproof neck case if you have one). Definitely recommend this tour!

LLP was our first kayak tour ever. We will look for this type of experience on future trips. Unfortunately for other companies that follow, in different locations (in Austin, Texas Live, Love, Paddle is the only place we will use!), LLP has established a high bar for friendliness, knowledge, and fun. They have weekday rates that are cheaper. The people are nice and helpful. Enjoyed kayaking and the view. Parking is a bit hard due to a limited number of spots being designated to the place.

GREAT place to book your kayak bat tour. SO much better than standing on (or under) the bridge or sitting on a crowded boat to experience it. By kayaking you are able to see and experience it so much more. Gavin was our tour guide and was fantastic. He knew the perfect place to see them and shared some history and general knowledge of how the bat migration came to be in Austin and he was also very funny which made the trip even more enjoyable. He also gave great recommendations for places to go in Austin outside of just the bat tour. Tandem or single kayaks are available and you dont have to be an experienced kayaker to do this tour. Gavin makes sure to stay with the very last person in the group so you dont have to worry about anything...he will guide you every step of the way. Great team at Live Love Paddle. Very patient and accommodating and made it an experience to remember for a lifetime.

Affordable paddle board rentals. Google maps routed me a weird way but I found it. I parked in the outside spots labeled retail only and had no issues. There is some construction next door; no particular issues though. Staff is friendly enough indoors; chap on lake w boards is really nice and has some braiding skills. The location is far down east for starting so expect to have an easy ride one way and a tougher time the other depending on winds.

While at Austin we tried kayak at Lady Bird Lake with Live Love Paddle . It was my first time and I was completely nervous even with the life jacket.I scared of falling in the lake as it was very shallow . But in the end I loved it a lot and now I can kayak alone . Water was very clean and there were ducks swimming here and there.

Employee told us we can stay as long as we want since it was a slow day, we asked would we be charged more than the hour we pay she said no to let her know what she said when we come back, came back and the older guy im assuming the owner charged us extra for overstaying the hour, we told him about what his employee said and wouldn’t call her over to tell him what she said, educate your employees more!

We LOVED this place! We almost went to a different rental business for our afternoon on the water and I’m so glad we didn’t. Extremely friendly customer service right from the beginning, friendly, funny and professional! The kayaks were in great condition and we had so much fun. Definitely will only be going here from now on!

It was a cool experience, however, the process of renting the kayak in an apartment building, then walking through a sketchy-ish area to get to the water, was very odd. During the day, with a friend, it wasnt bad. Wouldnt do this alone or with my kids.The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Ive gone here several times and always enjoy it. Its conveniently located with adequate parking. The staff are quick and friendly. If youre going on the weekend make sure to arrive early before the kayaks are sold out.

The guides were great, very funny and knowledgeable. It was a beautiful ride down and back. The tour group was really large so sometimes it was hard to hear, but otherwise I highly recommend live love paddle!!

We love this place! The rentals are super easy, and everyone that works there is really friendly. The equipment is all great, and their pricing is awesome too— the prorate the rentals past the first hour so you can stay out as long as you want without getting charged an arm and a leg.

Looking for an outdoor activity in the middle of a city? Kayaking at Live Love Paddle is a good place to do that. Great view option of Downtown Austin. The folks here are nice and helpful. I rented a two person kayak for an hour on a Saturday afternoon for $20. Not a bad deal. Pro tip, if you have a GoPro with waterproof housing, theres a GoPro mount on the kayak that I was on. Theres also free lockers for anything you dont want to take on the trip. If you spend more than an hour, you will be pro-rated to the nearest 15-min increment and not the full next hour so dont worry about rushing back. Parking lot is at an apartment/condo complex FYI.

Friendly employees, and reasonable rates (especially on weekdays!). It’s a little less crowded in the water around here, versus up toward Zilker. A great place for a relaxing paddle around Lady Bird Lake, and you can hop out and check out Snake Island, too.

Kind of a walk from office where you pay and get oars to the dock where you push out into the water. Kayak or SUP offered, great location on the river with pretty downtown view. Very nice staff, good pricing, would go again.

I initially wanted just to rent a kayak and paddle around myself, but I decided to pay a little extra for the morning guided tour, and I am VERY glad I did. The guide was great company and offered up a lot of interesting information about the city. I had a really great time, we covered a lot of distance and had a lot of enjoyable conversation along the way. Highly recommend these guys if youre looking for the best way to explore the lake!

My husband, son and I went on the Bat Tour yesterday and had a great time! The staff was fantastic and had a great sense of humor! These are people who love their job and do everything they can in making sure you have a wonderful experience from the moment you walk in the door all the way to the end. Looking forward to returning!

Sandwich was ok. Felt that it was somewhat pricey. One sandwich, fries and 2 ice teas was over $21. We were there at noon on Saturday and we were the only ones in the restaurant. No sound on the TVs and/or music. Iced tea is from a machine (not freshly brewed) and was very weak.

Had fun. The guy in the counter has a good sense of humor.

The evening bat tour was a great way to see and hear about the city (and the bats.) Our guide was good dude, and clearly wanted the whole group to have fun and enjoy their time in Austin. We went in March and it was a bit chilly, so be sure to dress appropriately.

Rented some stand up paddle boards here, had a very good time paddle boarding. The price seemed okay, and the service at the office was good. The guy that was working the dock/launch area by the river seemed like he had a bad attitude and did not want to be there.
