Excellent place to be visited by the whole family. Children and adults have a completely different time. this place offers bowling, ping pong tables, billiards. comfortable eating facilities, spectacular game machines, I visited it with my daughters and we had a great time. Good attention from all the staff and affordable price for everyone to be able to play and enjoy hours in this place. I recommend it 100%

So I went to the kiosk payed for a card and ended up not getting a card but getting charged. I waited for an associate to help and after 20 minutes I got help. She told me that the charge will be canceled and that I shouldn’t worry about it. I ended up having to purchase another card and had to pay 22$ again. They told me that if “for some reason” i was charged twice that dispute the charge and it would be handled. Now my credit card dispute was claimed as invalid and i still gave round 1 44$ for 22$ of playing. Now I have to drive 4 hours from Wisconsin down to round 1 and talk to the manager AGAIN to understand why I am getting charged. It is also not fun when they shut the place down 30m early after dealing with the manager for 45 minutes trying to figure out what is going to happen and trying to explain how credit cards work and showing her that I got charged from my card and I got nothing on my card. Never go here without having to deal with this for about a month.

I havent been at fox valley Mall in 8years . See that time my Mary like Walk a lot and I didnt like walking a lot and I said to her never again walk with you . my feets was Tried and hurt and I did treat her lunch at Golden Coral buffet. Any way I when yesterday just see how things have change. And alot have change and change is good and I like round 11 and I have have told my friends that have family too so pass it along and Im Happy ️️️️

Round One is a great place for many reasons. I have children ranging from ages 2yrs old to 24yrs! There is something here for all of us! Endless arcade games. I bring my 3 year old here during the week. I practically spend no money because he doesn’t care if there’s money in the games. Lol We bowl a game for about 6 bucks and get the .99 ice cream cones which are huge! Another hit for all ages! For my teens, they love the billiards/pool tables and bowling! The fried pizza and chicken are always a hit with them.Then there are my adult boys. We come here on the weekends sometimes and have a drink special and bowl a few games. I must include that there are so many pictures on the stairs and escalators because every kid wants to play on them. So be sure to monitor them at all times!

As someone who likes to play the crane games and as someone who came from out of town, this has to be the worse Round 1 I have ever been at. The crane games were all rigged so they didnt even work properly with loose claws. Even the staff admitted it was b.s.I.e.There was a crane game were you had to slide the box over and make it drop, however no matter how u placed the claw it would not go under the box nor slide it.I gave them the premium membership card back and asked them to throw it away as they are also on the old system and their card wont work anywhere else. What a waste of money.The only redeeming factor of this place was the nice staff, but again......they couldnt even explain to me how these games were even remotely winnable.

The food was terrible, they were out of most items on a menu, the service was very slow and they were very rude. Too expensive for bad service and terrible food. I Will not come back again and I will never recommend it.

We visited here today and the 4 of us were entertained for about 2 hours for $36.... We got the all u can play cards but were limited to the green games. These were older games that consists of driving,shooting, sir hockey Tekken and skiing games.... Not a bad cold weather get away place.

Great place for people of all ages. There so much to do here: bowling, ping pong, pool/billiards, arcade games. The only downside I’ve consistently experienced is issues with their bowling machines. They continue to breakdown or malfunction in middle of games and the staff would have to move you to a different lane which is pretty annoying.

Cool to go too for adults to have fun! if you like bowling and placying games. but thwy also have pool. reason giving it 3 stars is because the workers dont seem very happy to be there ever and always takes foreverrrrr to order food kr get some ones attention behind the counter for even a drink..

A lot of the games we wanted to play were out of service, but they had good games available. Its better than the Stratford Mall location.

Fun place to bring your kids the arcades are fun and they give you alot of points, prize room is filled with aswome stuff, something else i like about this place is that its not that loud in there, also have bowling and pool downstairs if you want to come with your friends. Also they close at 5 am. over all

This is a nice place to spend some time with the kids and family. The arcade games are fun but tend to be somewhat broken or dont work, they have some new games sitting around but yet to be setup to play which I think has taken longer then it shouldve to play. The food is okay typical bar type food beers are priced right in my opinion and bowling is always a good time.

They really need to have someone out watching the line. not fair to be waiting then have ten people cut in from because one person was waiting for them.

There is a lot to do here. Lots of games, bowling, ping pong, billiards, and probably more. The service is awful. Took 15 minutes to get a glass of wine. On a Saturday night. Because there was no bartender. There was no oil on the bowling lane either, which was frustrating. I probably should have just stayed upstairs with the arcade games.

This place is the best for playing Japanese arcade machines, bowling, or pretty much anything else. A lot of fun.

Super fun time playing games with my kids and wife. Theres a lot of stuff, I suggest the hour pass the first time. Gives you a good idea of what there is, and theres a lot. Plus theres bowling downstairs. We all had a blast!

Bowling was terrible. Original lane kept getting jammed. Was moved to another lane it reset itself over and over again for about 10 minutes. Finally was able to bowl. We purchased 90 minute bowling. We can usually bowl 3-4 games in 90 minutes. Didnt even get through 3 games with 2 people. They gave us extra time but it didnt matter. Took on average 55 seconds to reset the lane between throws. Thats an extra 20 minutes a game wasted to watching the lane reset itself. Furthermore, the balls got stuck on a consistent basis. We complained to the mechanic, and he moved us to a fully working lane and it worked much better. Apparently the lane next to us was under mx which causes it to run slowly. They should have never put us in that lane in the first place.

Great game selection, prizes are still affordable.

If I could Give negative I would. I’ve never been treated so terribly at an establishment. We went with 9 friends 7 of wish paid for 2 hours of bowling and about 2 drinks piece. At the end of our 2 hours we sat for about 10 min finishing our drinks when a worker “Abigail” walked up to us and said “okay, seriously you guys need to leave” if there was a wait they could of asked us to finish elsewhere. we paid a lot of money to enjoy a night here. I will NEVER be returning here, none of us will be.

I love this place and its great selection of claw machines. Would rate higher if they maintained them more often. Many times that Ive gone, the machines are either empty, or they set up the prizes to be nearly unwinnable, and this is coming from someone who has been to multiple Round 1s around the U.S. and is addicted to crane games. Theres also a good variety of arcade machines, they have ping pong, pool, and bowling. Great place to hangout.

Holy stimulus overload Batman!!!!!I was here for my friends daughters birthday, so we were here two, maybe three hours, and after that, I needed ibuprofen and a nap.Ive been to Las Vegas, and its kinda like that. Instead of drunk ladies screaming about how its their bachelor party or a bunch of dude bruhs floating around looking for people to be gross around (or in) - everyone is here, because theyre not old enough to drink and be those other people yet.And whats up with everything STRAIGHT FROM JAPAN and all in Japanese? Nothing doin, but cmon...Crazy Taxi exists, and its awesome.I re-read this and damn, it makes me sound jaded, and old. Old old old. Ill take it.

Little on the expensive side if you want to play games, but the games are actually pretty cool so Id say its not unjustified. The food is also pretty average but not horrible.However, I went there for karaoke tonight and loved every minute of it. They have a wide selection of songs and the staff is super friendly. Shout out to Ariana (I think thats her name. She wears glasses). She brought up some of the food we ordered and sang a line of Hamilton as she was exiting. Kudos to round one for hiring employees with amazing taste! Definitely going back.

I love this place its inside the mall to access all the stores and other food if you choose. They also have ice cream cones for about a dollar. Theyre bowling alley is pretty darn cool it also. They have a bar so you can get beer and play video games while you hang out upstairs in their arcade. They also have a wide variety of video games including karaoke. They have membership and makes everything a little bit cheaper. Theyve also added the time cards instead of cash cards where from what I heard gives you more time to play then it normally does. I personally have not tried that but I am looking forward to my next visit and hopefully try something new. Sometimes Im the games dont work but they usually fix them pretty quickly. They also have a wide variety of Japanese games which unfortunately I cant understand but my golly is it fun to play. This is by far one of my favorite video game arcades

Overall great experience, but the place seems a bit too small for how many people go to there and how many things there are go play, this is just what I think not really what my friends thought.

This place is a nightmare, run by incompetent children. They will lose your reservation after making you wait for 2+ hours, then they will completely refuse to make it right or compensate you for your trouble. The manager Carla is basically mentally handicapped. She ran and hid instead of taking charge of her employees incompetence. I wouldn’t spend someone else’s money in this dumpster fire.Chicken tenders were pretty ok. 2 stars.

A great time for both the young and old. Plenty of arcade games, bowling, karaoke, pool, food, and drinks. Not much more you can ask for.

Last two times Ive gone bowling I paid for 90mins and everytime the machine has broke down and weve waited forever for it to get fixed. Wouldnt mind but it took our time away while waiting. I shouldnt be paying for 90mins if were sitting around for half of the time waiting for our machine to work

The bowling alley wasnt really fun it was depressed no lights music low and the shoes were very slippery I expected more since Ive been to the one on north riverside and that one was a great experience.

Food was terrible, half the menu was unavailable (literally crossed out and it was noon) there was ZERO oil on the bowling lanes, service was ok. People that work there are nice. I would just stick to the games upstairs but thats overpriced also.

Awful experience with the bowling portion. They couldnt get the bumpers up for my 10 yr old then down for adults. Moved us 3 times. Bumpers started working g right 3rd frame 3rd move, then stopped again after 2 frames. My daughter had no fun because no one has fun throwing gutter balls. Manager was no help, just complained about people being too rough on equipment and breaking it.....I didnt break anything and if its not working properly you shouldnt charge people to use it!!!! Very disappointed, will not go back for bowling. We were checking it out for a possibility of having her Birthday party there. So glad I did. Horrible experience, would have wasted a few hundred bucks on a lousy party!! Will stick to the video games.

I was told we had to wait 40 mins for a lane and had too wait nearly 2 hours. The staff is incredibly slow and terrible to deal with. It is overpriced and not worth it.

We love to bowl here. The seating area at the lanes are large and comfortable. Beer on tap and a big selection of snack foods. Its clean and reasonably priced. With the arcade upstairs, you can have a whole afternoon of fun in one spot.

Bowling is a bit pricey, but pool actually is not half bad for prices. However go eat somewhere else if you are hungry. The food is way over priced for what it is. Also it took me and my S/O 45 minutes to get two cheeseburgers. They were either understaffed or the cook is actually that slow.

I drove an hour here on a Saturday night with one mission: the misses wanted to play the big crane games. Along with trying our skill and luck at the Crane. An amazing manager by the name of Felecia has been amazingly courteous and helpful to us as guests to this arcade. We had an amazing night and we will definitly come back!

Most of the games kinda stink.

Every once in a while, my friends and I go to Round 1 to play at the arcade. Recently I went and bowled with my family, we ate there too and the food was so good! There were some fancy lights that made it a little hard to concentrate on bowling but overall love this place.

Round 1 is the best. They take good care of their games. A good variety of new ones come often too. Very clean. The karaoke is great too.

First of the claw machines are rigged. Second off the prices for the arcade games are taking advantage that this place is located in a prominent neighborhood (meaning theyre trying to sucker rich people out of their money and are charging way too much for these arcade games). I feel like Bronzewhick zone moved across a few streets and upped their prices due to them owing money to loan sharks. I wasted 60$ in less than 20 minutes. Compared to Dave n busters this place is a joke. I see this place being closed down in less than a year if they do not re arrange prices and make it possible for people to actually win some of the toys here. I literally spent an equivalent of 15$ on a claw machine because it would purposely drop the toy once picked up. I won this duck looking thing after spending 60$ dollars at this place. At Dave n Busters I spent the same amount and won a 3ft tall minion . This place is literally cheating customers out of their money. I will visit after a view months to see if anything changed.

You can easily spend way too much money on the arcade, but they have a good selection of games. The karaoke is decent, but the rooms are too hot and they dont do a good job of teaching you how to use the system. They just show you the room, walk away, and start the timer. Dont expect classic games. Its relatively modern.

It takes some time for staff to reset the claw machines or fix any issues regarding games but thats a result of the high volume of customers. Regardless of how hectic it gets though, they are always friendly and happy to assist.

Over all decent place but kind of confused why were told we cant have a pitcher of beer because the machine is down but there was a whole bunch of pitchers stored on the counter. I mean really? Even if they were dirty, why couldnt they be hand washed????

The time play is awesome, the machines are in generally excellent working order, which is really uncommon for a public arcade that serves beer. Speaking of the beer, the price is FANTASTIC! Maya is one of the cashier/operators, and shes always so happy and full of smiles. Felicia, one of the managers, is a joy to deal with, as she always does her absolute best to make every guest feel like they are the most important person in the world (or at least the arcade). There are several newer employees that I have yet to learn the name of, but I hope to, as they are solid people.100 out of 10, Round 1 is awesome!

Dont usually have issues but today the karaoke room was dirty, the room the put us in equipment was not working properly and we had to keep restarting our time and still didnt get the song play to work correctly. Today was a waste of time

My party of 8 had a fantastic time tonight, it was my first time here. However, 5 minutes after our game ended we were finishing our drinks and putting our shoes and bowling balls away and we were rudely approached by an Abigal who rudely said uhhh I need you guys to leave, you cant stay here. Instead of politely letting us know another group was ready to use our lane she was very rude and unprofessional. Ill be back but someone should remind her to be a little nicer to their customers.

My child goes with her grandfather often and spends their share of money here. Quite overpriced. But on our last experience she was playing the Tower of Tickets and won a roll of 300 tickets. There was a previous winners tickets in the slot so my daughters tickets werent calculated. When we talked to the cashier, she only offered to refund our credit for playing. My daughter wanted the tickets she fairly won. She also said she didnt know where the maitenence guy was and that he was probably busy. For what they charge to play I think it was ridiculous they couldnt put our tickets on the card. Definitely wont be wasting our money here anymore.

Very fun entertainment. Whether youre bowling, drifting in the arcade, or jamming in the karaoke room, the place feels nice.The imported Japanese machines are also a blast, especially Dance Rush Stardom. I wish that was available as a videogame to buy for the Kinect or something.I do wish the arcade machines were a bit more obvious as to which ones award tickets and which ones dont.

I have driven here MANY times. Even if you call ahead assuring your game you came to play is working, I guarantee you’ll get there and it’s not. And the staff aren’t willing to reset it or anything for you. I live an hour and a half away and I am done coming here. DDR is always down, and today when I came they changed their Groove Coaster game from a green swipe (which you can play on the unlimited pass) to a blue swipe (which is 6.5 credits to play). This honestly sucks, not coming back here again.

The machines kept taking credits and not allowing my kids to play the games.. also, the crane games are a rip off. They charge 10 credits and the stuffed animals were STAPLED down! How do you even win that?! Such a rip off place. Definitely don’t plan to go back!

Love this place! Super fun place to chill, play games, and have a beer. When Im missing Japan I love coming here and having one of their $2 drafts of Kirin, and their pizza is actually really good! My only complaint is that they cant give you bags if you win a bunch of plush, so be prepared to bring your own if youre good at UFO catcher.

We like this place for fun arcade, bowling, and claw machine fun. Its a Japanese based chain with all kinds of cute prizes to win. However, a lot of their machines become out of order or gets stuck. Staff is always friendly and helpful to giving us back the credit we lost. They always have 0.99 cent ice cream cone which is great because its always fun to play and get an ice-cream cone for only 0.99 you can select different flavors like spumoni!Games and winning prizes is expensive because its for folks who love Japanese anime, Sanrio and Nintendo stuff. Totally a great place to have a group party or just a date night fun or a family fun night.

An arcade visit with my family (four young children) was greatly enjoyed. Clean establishment, games reasonably well maintained, competent staff if you ask for help. Had one game that didnt work, got the credits refunded easily. Good selection of prizes. Overall family friendly experience. Be aware that it is LOUD. Comes with the arcade experience.

This place was awesome! Rented a room for karaoke for 2 hours for 3 people for $16. You do it by yourself & no one outside of the room can hear you. Big arcade. Lots of fun stuff!!

Great to older kids not so much for toddlers

They need to do a better job maintaining their machines. If it isnt a card reader that isnt working, then it is a stuck button, or a stuck step on a DDR machine which makes the gameplay experience awful as you are constantly trying to work around the machines malfunctions instead of having a good time. Groove Coasters buttons are always sticking.

Came for my daughter birthday had a lot of issue, but throughout the night they accommodated us and I would thank you round 1. We will be back. We had a blast and so did all the guest. Thank you Round 1.

Round 1 is the best American arcade chain. It still has a lot of issues that plague American arcade chains (poor general maintenance, undertrained staff, etc) but its still the best of the lot!Also 99 cent ice cream and 1.99 drinks all day is such a powerful deal

Absolutely garbage. Don’t waste your time or money here. $30 for 130 ish points with each game costing 10-12 points. The game I came for didn’t accept the “license” for said game, killing the entire reason why I came in the first place.

Took my family here today. Weve been to the Bloomingdale location pretty regularly, but recently moved and this one was closer. This location has a nice atmosphere, very lively. We had a great time, but I wanted to make special mention of one employee. Henry helped us with food and drink orders. He was exceptional and his service was refreshing and well beyond what I had expected. Thank you Henry!
