Amazing trails, great playground, and huge dog park. There is a frisbee golf course thats hugely popular. The trails wind through the woods and past a creek that has easy access if the kids want to wade.

Well taken care of clean park. Walls need to be cleared of webs, but otherwise very nice park. Restrooms are beautifully painted with outdoor landscapes-really nice, unique touch.

Nice park with lots of stuff to do. Walking, running, basketball, tennis, beach volleyball, disc golf, two dog parks, small trails in the woods, childrens playset, soccer fields, little amphitheater. The park is super clean and well maintained. Everyone I have come across is friendly which is a nice bonus. I live nearby so I am there multiple times per week.

Love this park/playground! It has play equipment that really appeals to kids, like a giant rock with climbing holds all over it (and a place to perch at the top!), many slides, a rope-bridge, and many ways to climb up and down the two tree house structures. The bathrooms are next to the playground, connected to the group shelter. Great place to entertain littles when bigger siblings are on the playing field. Only con is that the slides can get burning hot bc there is no shade! There is a path the connects the playground to the dog park and outdoor amphitheatre as well as the disc golf course. The woods--which get muddy often, so be warned--offer another sort of play area, the kind my 5 year old loves best!

I was told that I have to pay double in fee’s because I’m not a resident of Apex... last time I checked my home zip code is 27502... which is Apex. After asking why they said “Friendship Road is apart of apex anymore” I said that weird considering most of the apex founders live on this road and we have a high school named after us? So you build million dollar home and now the rest of us should should just go f*** ourselves? Thanks. Will be noting that when people ask the best area to live in.

Only part I went to was the large dog section of the dog park. I was not impressed that it only had a 4 ft high fence (I think). Larger dogs could easily jump that. On the one section, there is a road.

I usually use the park to play disc golf with my teenage sons. The disc golf course is quite challenging through the woods with several creeks. Not that at this time (summer 2020) some of the course is close because construction. There are a lot of other nice features at the park that I havent taken advantage of ...

Pretty place but they desperately need paddle holders and signs (like @ Method Road) for the pickleball courts. There are way too many players for three or four courts and no rotation system. It should be fair for everyone.

Ry

Disc golf has a good layout. Only reason Im giving it four stars is because some of the holes have been under construction for a while so I havent played the whole course

DOG PARK REVIEW ONLY - I like the dog park, is a nice space, but dont seem to be extremely popular. when were got there only one dog was there and it was leaving, so during the whole time were were there, my dogs didnt have any friends to play with, which was the whole point. I think its cos its a members only dog park, meaning you have to pay an annual fee to use it. its a shame

The trails are marked out but not very well. Its a beautiful place we did a short hike with the dogs but it was confusing to get around the bathroom was clean and nice

Je
Review №27

Nature trails are very poorly marked. There was literally 1 marker and then none. We followed what we thought was the Holly Loop and it ended up being blocked by construction. On the way back we did see 2 more markers that confirmed we had been on the trail but couldnt be seen from the other side. Very disappointing.

Well maintained, water provided, little tennis balls provided for them to play with, and good size for dogs to run, a small Park and a large park for dogs that is sectioned off. All the people that weve encountered there with their dogs have been very friendly and very understanding that puppies are puppies!

I went out here during the week for a lunch walk. The park is very clean, very nice. There are paved walk ways, which is where I walked but I also saw trails. The paved walk ways are a nice little workout because they are on a slight incline. **If you play play Pokémon Go, there are quite a few pokestops here as well as 2 gyms at each entrance and another gym closer to the main office at the back of the park.

I thought it was really fun. I went out with some friends to go frisbee golfing, and had a decent time. Its a really serene and beautiful place to be, even when all the trees were absent of leafs. All in all, it was fun. The only thing wrong was the water fountain at the rest area, but that really doesnt take away from the experience.

Ja
Review №56

The only thing I dont love about this park is that the parking lot gets too full. Apex underestimated. When that happens, we park down by the dog park and walk up. My kids love the park here. The pavilion is often booked on spring/ summer weekends, which can make using the restrooms mean walking into a party or going down to the dog park. The soccer field are turf, so you cant just walk on like you used to be able to when the fields are not in use. I would give the park a 3, but the trails a 5. There are both paved and natural trails and you can spend hours walking all around. There is also a disc golf course. Overall, its a fantastic place with a few big issues that would have made it exceptional....

Da
Review №57

Nice trail system. Paved walkways as well as dirt trails in the woods provide variety. The dog park is well thought out:Access is controlled by key fob and limited to residency of Apex. Users need to register their dogs and provide proof of vaccines inorder to get a key fob. The dog park is divided in two with a fence and 2 gates. One side for BIG dogs, the other designated for little dogs. All owners and K-9s enter the park via Double gate corral. Go Dogs Go.The ampatheater is a nice place too.Disc golf....the list goes on and on.

Nature park is really great they keep the area nice and clean and the facilities are well maintained. There is a playground, dog park, disc golf course, tennis courts, soccer field and a nice walking loop all available. Its in a good location where it is not too far out of the way but it doesnt feel like a hustle bustle part of town.

Review №61

Im reviewing this for the disc golf course. The course is challenging with a lot of trees, but it is a solid course. Its pretty easy to find the next tee. There are bridges to get you over some of the typically muddy parts, which is a nice improvement over the past year or so.There are two elevated baskets that can be kind of tricky. Pars are challenging for duffers like my son and me. The location is nice and the facilities are nice. Overall, this is a very solid course and one we enjoy fairly regularly.

Our dog LOVED the dog park here. Its nice, but there is a $20 fee for a yearly membership and you have to register your dog. Thats all good for us, though-- we like that the money provides additional upkeep and the registration means we will never have dogs who are excessively aggressive or without their shots coming to the park. The whole Apex nature area is sprawling with endless options for a fun time outdoors.

I attended a birthday cookout at this park, and it was excellent. You can reserve the covered picnic area, and an attendant will hold the space for you to make sure nobody swoops in on the tables or the charcoal grill. This park has everything you want in a park. The parking is close, the restrooms are close and clean, the tennis courts are in good condition, and the playground equipment looks fun and safe.

This place is really awesome. There is a playground, a covered picnic area, tennis, volleyball, basketball, soccer, baseball, disc golf, a dog park, an amphitheater...you name it. So why did I give it 4-stars instead of 5? The biggest downfall is the lack of clear trails. There is so much awesome space, but when I tried to navigate it with my kids, I felt like I was interrupting the awesome disc golf players. This would be, hands-down, one of the most inclusive parks in the area if only there was a way to know where you were supposed to walk.

Ro
Review №95

Good disc golf course, challenging. Biggest gripe is the majority of the holes have similar layout, tight fairway through trees, then slight right to the basket. Its pretty, maintained, but can get muddy. Other offerings of the park do not impede the play of the course.
