Halle Cultural Arts Center is located in downtown Apex along with a variety of shops and restaurants. The center offers rotating art displays featuring local artists and varying mediums. They also have a small collection of gifts which make perfect souvenirs to remember your visit to Apex, the peak of good living! Two small rooms and an auditorium can be rented for classes or events. The center also hosts movie nights and other events regularly. For more information on events and rentals, visit their website.

This venue needs to do some deep cleaning. The carpets are very stained and wood floors are very dirty (gum etc) the elevator walls, floors, tables and chairs had food and stains on them. The production techs were both amazing and so was the young lady at the desk helping our guest check in. The location is good and overall the building is unique and could be a 5* with minimal effort.

This is a great place in downtown Apex. We watched a kids play here. It was small but wasn’t overly crowded. The quality of the play was outstanding and you can tell they really care about the performers.

Had my daughters 5th birthday party there and they were more than unaccommodating. They would not let me come in 10 minutes early to set up the room, even though no one was using that particular room.We were there on a Fun Day Saturday where the kids were supposed to do arts and crafts. First, the room where they do the arts and crafts was about 1/4 the size of the room we rented. We only had 12 kids and there was no way they could fit in that little room, especially since its open to the public and almost all seats were already taken. Second and most important, they did not do arts and crafts - they colored. It would have been better just to have the party at my house. Not a good experience.

Saw a free movie here one night in a makeshift theater (basic projector using Windows Media Player, standard office-y chairs moved into a gym with good speakers). My girlfriend and I had a lovely time but were the youngest in the theater by about 30 years.Would I go again? For a free movie, sure. There are lots of delicious restaurant within walking distance so it makes for a great date night.

The Halle Cultural Arts Center was built as the Town of Apex Town Hall in 1912. The population of Apex was estimated at 700. Construction cost was $7,500.It served many purposes. Outside the front door on the sidewalk was a hand operated pump well.Halle Center Historic photograph taken from the 1900sThe first floor contained a farmers market offering seasonal fruits, vegetables, and fresh chickens. A firehouse and two jail cells were in the rear. A ticket office was near the front door.Upstairs was the Mayor’s office and a theatre with opera style seating and large windows for ventilation (HVAC today!). It was a home for silent movies, dramas and musicals, as well as the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources. It is located in the heart of the downtown Historic District and is perfect for exhibitions, musicals, dances, plays, receptions, meetings, fund raisers, and celebrations.

Rich in depth of talent my local artists. The mixed media pieces were especially breathtaking, and instilled a sense of propinquity with the suroundings.

Really nice! I recently had the opportunity to help with and attend *The Cocktail Hour* the first adult theater production for Halle Cultural Arts Center. Directed by Kathleen Rudolph and starring +Larry Evans, Chris Brown, Debra Zumbach Grannan, and Jenny Anglum. The stage is good size with proper curtains and a nice brick wall visible at back. Beautiful details in the stage construction. The room felt nice. The venue allows for approximately 120 people. During intermission you can go downstairs to view local artwork adorning the walls or grab some refreshment. The staff is friendly and eager to answer any questions that you might have. Nearby are a few restaurants for before or after show dining. The downtown area is fun to browse as you pass by local shops, galleries and businesses. The Halle Cultural Arts Center has a lot of great programs coming up so do yourself a favor and go check them!
