Our children have attended track out camps, summer camps, classes and the Harry Potter party for many years. I cannot say enough about the owners and this phenomenal business. The camps have a different theme each week where they learn about different art techniques, animals, places in the world, etc. They work with different types of media including clay, watercolors, pastels, fabric, glass, wood, yarn and much more! They play outside on zip lines, tree houses, trampolines and play outdoor games. I enjoy seeing all of the amazing things they create each week. The owners actually take the time to know each child and what they like and not only what they excel at but what they need help with. My kids come home tired from playing outside and with smiles on their faces. There are so many fun things to do! Tina and Mark are absolutely wonderful and I completely trust them to keep our children safe, happy and teach them some amazing art. This camp has it all, our kids always want to return.

Our girls have attended Arts Academy of Apex for the last 8 years. It is one of their most favorite track out camps. Now that they are in middle school and old enough to stay home alone, they still ask to go back to Art Camp during track out. They love the Middle School Corner and autonomy that Tina encourages. Tina has done a wonderful job making children of all ages feel comfortable. Over the last 8 years, every week has been a new and different learning experience. We highly recommend Arts Academy of Apex!

Our kids have never been too interested in attending camps, but that changed when they tried Arts Academy. Mrs.Tina and Mr. Mark kept them safe, active and learning. They were excited to talk about the topic of the week and what they were creating. The loft for the middle school students is our daughters favorite spot and our son loves the zip line and the outdoor play. They get to have snack and lunch outside, which they also enjoy. Theyve both attended the Harry Potter party and absolutely loved it. Our daughter also enjoyed the mother/daughter sewing class as well as her 10th birthday party here. Everything they offer is amazing, well organized and well worth the cost. Both kids put gift cards to Arts Academy on their Christmas wish list to be sure they get to go back!

We have been going to the Arts Academy of Apex for a few years now, and it is both of my boys favorite camp. The owners are great people and really care about their students and genuinely want them to learn about art. Each week is a different theme, so my boys are always learning something new. The lessons are organized and taught in a way that is not boring to most kids. At the end of the week, my boys get really excited because they are able to do an art show by showing all of the art they did during the week. In addition, they love the tree-house, trampoline and zip-line! They also get free swag (like T-shirts) for attendance and winning games, etc. Lastly, the price of this camp is a great value compared to some other camps. My boys and I highly recommend this camp! (Just be sure to register early!)

I have a shy daughter and she’s completely at home with Tina and this fun art camp. She loves to show off her work at the end of each week during the art show. She especially loves getting to do clay/pottery work. The outside recess time is great for getting out her extra energy. This is our go to camp during each track out!

Our favorite camp for the past 5 years! Our kiddos love crafts, art, and learning. Ms. Tina and Mr. Mark have a good blend of inside and outside time, and teacher-led vs creative time. Working with clay, junk trunk, and archery/zipline are among our kid’s favorites.

We absolutely love Arts Academy of Apex. Ms. Tina has been instrumental in growing my daughters love of and abilities in art. My daughter also had the opportunity to learn about artists, history, animals, etc...the list goes on. Add in the zip line, the annual amazing Harry Potter event, sewing classes etc. makes this place a wonderful and unique opportunity to learn and have fun! My daughter is a rising 9th grader now and will take the lessons learned at Arts Academy of Apex into her art classes in high school. Thank you!!

The camps are great! 2020 will be our 6th summer! Our three kids (two girls, 1 boy) enjoy the variety of the projects, outdoor time activities and especially the zipline and archery days! I love the hours, the attentive staff and the different types of art that they are exposed to. All three kids love going and run into the place with a quick bye mom. The older kids have more autonomy to design their own projects. My younger daughter gets the structure she needs. When it is raining or too hot, there are lots of games, books and crafts to do inside.

My daughter loves it here. We used to be in a year round school and she went for track out camps here and there. She’s in traditional school now and went for 2 weeks this summer. It’s a cute facility. I think in the summer they may need more staff but it’s a well controlled environment with all the children. Be sure to coat your kids in bug spray before the day begins. They play outside a bit. My daughter has come home with a few bites but nothing crazy. We will definitely be back again next summer. I love the fact that my child can go 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week and I pay according to how many days she attends. As a working mom this is a huge blessing!! I hate paying for a 5 day camp that we only attend for 3 days.

My Daughter has been going here for 6 years. It’s her favorite camp, themed weeks, lots of different art techniques are taught, tons of outside time. I enjoy that the kids are given some independence to pick what they want to do during centers. Great environment, owners always friendly at drop off and pick up. Counselors get to know the kids.

Not so much an Academy more like a Daycare for school aged kids. They are basically on their own the whole time. Besides coloring and playing on their own in centers nothing much is going on. My 7 years old didnt have any fun wanted to be picked up earlier each day and if it wasnt for the fact that I paid for the entire week he would not have to go back. He was centered in the fact that the boss was always angry and nobody would smile EVER Waste of money!!!

We were initially worried because it seemed like this camp was so far away. Truth told, its only about 4 miles past Beaver Creek Shopping Center in Apex. Weve become so spoiled by things being so close to home that we almost missed out on this incredible camp as a result. Also, in the opposite direction you can get to Streets of Southpoint Mall from this camp in just under 11 minutes (straight shot on ONE road) - very convenient and very cool. Needless to say, we are so glad we signed the kids up and have now enrolled one or both kids three times, and each time the kids have thoroughly enjoyed this camp! Highly recommend! Well be back again.

I originally wrote a one-star place for this place but deleted it after a response from the owner placing the blame solely on the behavior of my child. However I just cannot let this go. Others need to understand this, even if it involves another scathing response from the owner. My child has Oppositional defiance disorder and ADHD which clearly makes him a challenge. When he is not being engaged or stimulated,he will act out to seek (negative) attention. This is obtained by the things my child was reported to do: bad language, unkindness towards other children, etc. I suspect that these kind of things are not handled well at this place, since I was sternly told about his behaviorand not to bring him back.I immediately wrote a bad review and pointed out that this place is not capable of dealing with childrenwith his type of ability, and the blame was put on my child (and me, essentially). The fact is, my son has been in other art campus in thetriangle from performing plays, learning instruments, and other arts projects. He did fine there. My child and I have never been treated this way by another camp. I was told that this place is some sort of premiere school focused on the advancement of the arts and not a daycare center (like the other art camps my son has been to? gah!). And that hes disruption for the other kids.I do not see how the situation can be blamed solely on the child. He is a sweet child when he is happy and enaged. He can be a terrorwhen hes bored but with a set of finely honed tools under his belt he can create chaos which for him is interesting and stimulating... This is classic behavior for kids with ADHD and ODD can do.The truth is, if your kid is a happy normal child with a healthy interest in arts and crafts he or she will do fine here. My daughter, as an example, did fine here. However, when a place blames the failure solely on a child instead of at least trying looking inside, its a place you should think twice about. There are other places in the triangle who see the value of developing and child and not just the arts.
